Wu Yuniie, a lover of cultural relics(文物) born in the 1990s, has made a map of near 10,000 historical landmarks(地标). The map allows people to clearly see the historic sites(遗址), cultural relies and history museums around the country, including paintings and books.
Wu’s interest came from watching historical programs with his parents when he was a child. Programs showing the wisdom and knowledge of the ancients gave him a chance to be close to cultural relics. He wanted to understand the wisdom of the ancients, and hoped to understand history and culture through cultural relics.
In recent years, Wu has traveled to nearly 30 provinces, regions(区) and cities across the country, visited more than 2,000 cultural relics and taken more than 300,000 photos. He was not only interested in the relics, but also in the historical stories behind them. He researched the historical background and cultural value of each city, and spent a lot of time searching for the location information of each site in order to make the map correct.
Wu created a map with about 10,000 historical places. Red marks show key places of interest and national museums, while green marks show province-protected places. Many old roads and bridges in villages are also on this map. People love the map. One user excitedly shared, “I found an ancient tower near my home!” However, Wu believed the map wasn’t perfect because it only showed less than two percent of cultural treasures in China. But this problem pushed Wu to make a decision that he had to improve the map.
Wu Yunjie will continue to put his love for history and cultural relics into practice. He also hopes that more young people will focus on traditional Chinese culture. Only in this way can our history and culture be better protected and passed on.

Living in a dirty home is not fun. It means you’ll spend a lot of time looking for things and cleaning the room. It also means that you can’t relax fully at home. Keeping your room tidy can be easy if you follow these helpful steps!
First, have a look at each thing in your room and ask yourself: "Do I use this often?" or "Will I need this later?" If you haven’t touched it in a year, you probably don’t need it. For example, old toys or clothes that don’t fit anymore might just take up space. The questions make it easier to clean out the useless things.
Second, if something is unnecessary, you should make wise decisions of whether it can be given up. Should you throw it away, donate it, or recycle it? Broken things can be repaired or go into the trash bin. And unused books or clothes in good condition could be given away to help others. You can even sell things on a second-hand website and make money from them. In this way, there will be more space for things you truly need.
Third, use boxes, baskets, or bags to keep tidy and save time when looking for things. For example, put your notebooks, pencils, erasers and something similar into the box called “School Things”. And put your football, basketball and other sports things into the box called “Sports Tools”. To avoid mess, always remember to return things to their "homes" after using to.
A clean room saves time, cut down stress, and makes life easier. Try these tips today—your future self will thank you!

Why We Hate Phone Calls
Suddenly, a sound rings, making you stop what you are doing. Nervously, you look around to find where it is coming from. It's your phone. If you are like someone at the age of 18-30 in a British study, you probably won't answer it. The study found that today, 70% of young people in this age group choose to use messages instead of making phone calls. Here comes the question. Why do so many young people dislike phone calls?
In the past, people used landlines(固定电话) to talk to friends. But now, young people who grow up with smartphones are more used to sending text messages for daily communication. Messages make people less stressed out. You can read and reply when you have time, and you can think carefully before you answer, instead of being forced to reply quickly during a call. Also, when you send a message without being stopped by others, a conversation becomes easier to control. Phone calls, however, often make people feel they have lost control and feel nervous. Many young people say they think of phone calls, especially unexpected ones, as bad news.
Because of this, new social rules are being made. Many people now send a message first to ask if the person is able to answer a call. If someone can't explain something in a few short messages, they may send a long voice message instead.
But this does not mean that all the worries are gone. Even though texting is popular, it may make people unsure or uncomfortable during communication. Many times, people often feel angry, scared, or worried about how others say or do. For example, if someone sends a short reply to your long message, you may think they don't care. Some people also feel upset when they are "left on read" — they know their message has been seen, but the person doesn't reply.
[Summary]
A study found that nowadays young people 1 because there is less pressure and they can 2 over the communication, which helps people feel more relaxed. New social habits include texting first to check if someone is free before calling, and choosing to send a voice message when information is 3 . However, 4 .

We must be familiar with this kind of kids. They go to school on time. They do their homework. They get good-enough grades. They hardly ever break school rules. But they do not really focus on what they’re learning. If you ask them how school is, their usual answer is: Just so-so.
It seems that there is nothing serious. But teens’ attitude to school is a big deal. Here’s a fact: Kids are born to want to learn. And when they’re younger, most say they enjoy learning. Recently, we surveyed more than 65,000 students and almost 2,000 parents. We found that 74 percent of third graders say they love school, But during middle school, teens’ enjoyment falls off a lot. By tenth grade, only 26 percent of teens say they love school - although 65 percent of parents with tenth graders think their kids love it, suggesting a serious problem.
So how can parents make them enjoy it? Nagging (唠叨) is useless. The key, research suggests, for parents is to encourage kids to develop more independence. That’s to say, a more effective way is to encourage kids to make their own plans and to support them as they carry them out.
Parents probably should give up a little bit of control; think fewer commands (命令) and more supportive push. To check out if what you’re saying might gently push a teen forward, it’s useful to ask: Will this help my children learn to do this on their own? Then, kids are helped to develop better work habits, pick up some time-management (时间管理) skills, and practice organizing events, and finally really enjoy learning to reach a goal.
Summary
Hi, everyone. Recently, I have read an article. It talks about how parents can make their kids change their ideas about school, from “It’s just so-so.” to “ 1 ”. In Paragraph 1, it shows us a kind of kids. They 2 at school, but don’t have love for school. In Paragraph 2, we can find that 3 the kids are, the less they enjoy school. In the third and fourth paragraphs, the article tells parents that they should stop nagging to encourage teens to learn to be 4 .They can also help their kids make their plans and support them.

A half-truth happens when someone tells part of the truth and leaves out important details, making their words misleading (误导的). It isn’t a complete lie, but it is still dishonest because it doesn’t give the full picture.
Parents sometimes use half-truths to avoid upsetting their children or to make things seem better than they are. For example, a parent might say, “I am too busy with work to help you.” It’s true that they are busy, but they might cut out the fact that they also spend time watching TV or going out. While the words are true, they cut out important details that could change the child’s understanding of the situation.
Students sometimes use half-truths to make themselves look better. For example, a student might say, “I finished all my homework on time and got an A!” This sounds great, but they cut out that they finished all the exercises with their books and notebooks open. While it is true in part, it cuts out important details that would change how others see their grades.
Advertisers also use half-truths to trick customers. For example, an advertiser might say, “Nine out of ten doctors suggest this medicine.” The truth is that they only asked ten doctors, and nine of them worked for this company. By cutting out this detail, the ad makes it seem more believable than it really is.
Half-truths appear more often than we think. They can make a big difference to how we see situations or people. You’d better be careful! They may seem harmless at first, but when we uncover the missing details, the truth can change completely. So, next time you hear something that sounds too good to be true, remember to look for the full picture.
