发言稿–谈谈自己的成长
I’m honored to share my understanding of growth today.
To me, growth means becoming braver and more confident
through challenges.
Last term, I joined the school debate competition. At
first, I was terrified of public speaking and often forgot
my lines during practice. But my teammates patiently
helped me, and I practiced speaking in front of the mirror
every day. When the final day came, I took a deep breath
and spoke clearly, even making eye contact with the
audience. Although we didn’t win first place, I felt proud
of myself for facing my fear.
This experience taught me that growth isn’t about
perfection—it’s about taking small steps forward and

learning from failures. Thank you!

我为家乡感到骄傲
As a Hangzhou native, I am so proud of my hometown.
First of all, Hangzhou is a city of culture.
It is known for the West Lake, an amazing place with
beautiful scenery and ancient legends. Many poets wrote
famous poems about it, which made it become a symbol of
Chinese art. Besides, Hangzhou is a center of high-
technology. As the birthplace of Alibaba, it has changed
people’s lives until now. Online shopping and mobile
payments here make everything easier. What’s more, the
city is full of creative minds working on new inventions.
In a word, Hangzhou perfectly mixes tradition with
technology. Every time I walk along the lake or use high-
tech tools, I feel lucky to live in my hometown.

课间 15 分钟最爱的活动
How are you? I am very glad to share my ideas about
the break-time activities. During breaktime, I usually just
sit at my desk and chat with my classmates briefly.
If we have a 15-minute breaktime next month, I’d really
love the activity of taking a short walk around the
schoolyard. Firstly, sitting in the classroom for a long time
makes me feel stiff. A short walk can relax my body and
refresh my mind, helping me be more focused in the
following classes. Secondly, the schoolyard is full of green
plants. Walking around allows me to enjoy the beautiful
scenery and breathe in fresh air, which is beneficial to my
health.
I hope my suggestions can be considered.

难忘的杭州研学之旅
Last week, my school organized a trip to Hangzhou.
As a northerner traveling far without parents for the
first time, I felt excited yet anxious—could I manage
alone? The trip proved a lesson in independence: I packed,
tracked time, and budgeted pocket money myself.
Overwhelmed at first, I gained confidence from small
achievements like folding clothes neatly or waking on time.
This journey showed me independence means growing
capable, and I now embrace future challenges.
