教材分析:
The teaching material is the reading part from Grade 7 unit 1. The title of this module is Welcome to junior high!. Moving from primary school to junior high school is an important turning point in a student's academic career. Students will have to adapt to a new environment, make new friends, and learn new subjects. Facing a new journey, students are nervous and need to be prepared to take on new challenges in all aspects. In this unit, students will discuss the preparation they need to make for junior high school.
学情分析:
According to the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education, analyze the relevant knowledge and skills that students should have mastered and the perspectives (including attitudes, values, etc.) that students should have on the topic of preparing for junior high in this unit and the four sub-topics related to it. For example, in terms of language knowledge, students should have learned words about stationery, clothing, school, and hobbies; In terms of discourse types and styles, they should have been exposed to common genres such as dialogue and speech.

This is a reading and writing lesson which aims to develop students’ ability in solving problems. In this lesson I mainly employed Task-based Teaching Method, Cooperative Approach as well as the Communicative Language Teaching Method to create certain scene and ask students to complete relevant tasks, assist them to learn in a relaxed atmosphere and build a confidence towards reading, thus forming the habit of active learning and improving their comprehensive language competence.
