Dragons are not real animals, but look like the mix of several animals such as snakes, fish
and deer. People believe that they have fantastic powers. They can fly in the sky or swim in the
sea. They can even make rain. The Chinese dragon is a symbol of success and good luck.
We are proud to call ourselves “the descendants(传人) of the dragon”. In Chinese, excellent
people are often called “dragons”. A number of Chinese sayings talk about dragons. For example,
“Soaring dragons and leaping tigers”, “Hoping one’s child will become a dragon” and “A fight
between a dragon and a tiger”.
Chinese people believe that people born in the Year of the Dragon have certain characteristics.
They are creative, confident and brave. There are some famous “dragons” who have done
excellent things. For example, the famous writers Ba Jin and Guo Moruo, they all have made a
difference to our country.
There are also some traditional festivals about dragons in China, such as Dragon
Head-Raising Day(龙抬头 ) and Dragon Boat Festival. We have different kinds of activities to
celebrate them. These two festivals are celebrated every year, but the Year of the Dragon is
celebrated every twelve years.

Self-reflection(反省) means stopping the mad rush of activity and keeping
yourself and your mind cool, so your brain can evaluate(评价 )the input that it
has already received. Some people prefer to do their self-reflection in the way of
thinking, while others do it in the way of writing something, like keeping a diary
or writing notes of some kind.
School textbooks are often divided into units of study. This can make
self-reflection easier for someone who wants to do it. Self-reflection can be done in any of the
subjects you are learning:math, art or others. Sometimes you are reminded that the unit is over
because there is some kind of test. Using those natural breaks above as chances to reflect is a good
way.
As a student, you can do self-reflection at school. First, you can write down some notes and
things that you learned in this unit that you did not know before you began, let your mind think
over the notes and make some connections with what you have learned. Next, think about the
things that you still wonder about. For example, you learned a new way to solve a math problem,
but you are not sure when to use it. Writing down your questions will help you remember to seek
answers when you meet the same topic again.
Self-reflection is an important skill for a successful student. If you have never taken the time
to reflect, try it now.
54. What is a natural break chance to reflect?
A. Taking some kind of rest when school is over.
B. School textbooks are divided into units.
C. Keeping a diary or writing notes of some kind.
55. When taking notes or keeping a reflection diary, you should _______ first.
A. make some connections to solve a.problem
B. let your mind think over the notes or diaries you have written

In the world of artificial intelligence(AI), there’s a new but widely known
app—ChatGPT. An American company published it in November2022 to test
what a powerful AI system can achieve.
ChatGPT remembers what it has been told, and uses those to form its next
answers. You can ask ChatGPT anything, like explaining physics, asking for birthday party ideas
and getting programming help. Perhaps it’s not smart enough to replace humans yet, but it is really
creative, and its answers sound real. After it was published, more than I million people were trying
out ChatGPT. UBS analyst Lloyd Walmsley reported that ChatGPT increased 100 million new
users from January to February in 2023, achieving the goal in 2 months which took TikTok about
9 months and Instagram two and a half years.
ChatGPT is free to use at the moment because it is still in its research period. But when too
many people use it, it will overload and can't answer your request. It just means you should try
visiting later when fewer people are using it. If you don’t want to wait for a long time and sign in
freely, there is a choice for you—ChatGPT Plus, which allows users to enjoy the convenient AI
service even during busy times. This will cost $20 each month.
However, ChatGPT cannot replace other browsers( 浏 览 器 ). ChatGPT is an artificial
intelligence app that provides solutions to your questions, but a browser is a search engine in which
7
you can search for as much information as possible. ChatGPT has limited knowledge because of
its programming, but browsers have unlimited knowledge which is updated every day.
63. ChatGPT________________ to test what a powerful Al system can achieve.

65. If people want to use ChatGPT Plus for half a year, they need to pay______________.

Now let me introduce something about IT to you. The show will be held in the museum hall tomorrow, and IT will last for two days. The opening time is from eight AM to six PM. And there is going to be a technology show at three o'clock tomorrow afternoon. There will be many old inventions on the technology show. They were all invented hundreds of years ago. They are really amazing. You can take photos of them, but please don't touch anything on the show that all thanks for listening. 听力测试到此结束,请大家继续做笔试部分。
