Few would guess what kind of animal my pet is. It lives in a tank(鱼缸), but it's not a fish. It can live out of water, but it's not a turtle. It has eight legs and two red claws(螯). It's a crab(蟹)!

1.____ It was so cute! I brought it home without a second thought. After a hard day at work, feeding my crab really relaxes me. Crabs aren't picky eaters. From rice to small dried fish, my pet seems to enjoy everything. It carefully cuts the food into smaller pieces with its two large claws and then greedily(贪婪地) puts them into its mouth. The crab gets nervous easily. Its eyes are like two little searchlights(探照灯), always looking around. 2.____ As a shy boy, I sometimes feel like my pet is a lot like me.

These fourlegged animals seem to be more intelligent and entertaining. Last weekend, my friend Helene celebrated her 30th birthday at home. While she was cutting her cake, her corgi(柯基犬) kept barking(吠叫) and running about like an excited little child. 3.____
