A./ B.a C.an D.the
【答案】B

A.Wear B.Wearing C.Wears D.To wearing
【答案】B

A.Although; but B.Although; / C.But; although D./; but
4.Remember ________ the books when you finish ________ them.
A.to put away; reading B.putting away; reading
C.putting away; to read D.to put away; to read
【答案】A
remember to do sth 故选A。

A.Hardly; luckily B.The hard; the lucky
C.The hardest; the luckiest D.The harder; the luckier

8.Your car is very dirty. It needs ________.
A.to wash B.to washing C.be washed D.washing
【答案】D

As the house shook from the falling asteroids (小行星), Arthur’s heart beat very fast. The asteroids weren’t just rocks; they seemed to move around in space like they had a plan, like they were looking for something. The strange light from the asteroids made the house seem even more scary.
Suddenly, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy said in a calm voice, “Trust the house, Arthur. It can handle this.” Those words made Arthur feel a little better. He closed his eyes and listened to the voice, which helped calm him down.
When he opened his eyes, he saw the house move very skillfully between the asteroids. It almost seemed like it was dancing between them. The outside of the house changed shape, like it could see where the asteroids were going and move to avoid them.
At one point, an asteroid came so close that Arthur could feel its heat. But just before it hit, the house moved quickly and missed it by just a little bit. Arthur held his breath, afraid to move, as the asteroid flew away into space.
When the asteroids finally stopped coming, Arthur felt relieved (宽慰). He let out a big breath and leaned back against the wall. He was amazed by how the house had saved him and felt lucky to have had such an exciting experience.
From then on, Arthur was more curious and braver about exploring space. He knew there were many amazing things out there, but also some dangers. But he was ready to face them, knowing that he had the tools and courage to do so. He looked forward to more exciting adventures in the vast universe.

Leopards (非洲豹) are part of the cat family. A leopard’s body is built for hunting (狩猎). It has a powerful body and can run at speeds of up to 57 kilometers per hour. It is also an excellent swimmer and climber and can jump far. 36 This helps it keep balanced (平衡) and lets it turn quickly.
37 Each of them has its own area where it lives and, although it often shares parts of it, it tries to avoid others. Their hunting and feeding habits are also quite unique. They often pull their food up into the trees so that they can keep it safe. A leopard will often leave its food up in the tree for days and return only when it’s hungry!
Mother leopards give birth to two or three little leopard at a time. The mother leopard takes great care of her cubs, teaching them essential hunting and survival skills as they grow. 38
Some people believe that the bones and whiskers (细须) of leopards can make sick people get better. Many leopards are killed each year for their fur and other body parts. 39
To save leopards, we need to take action. Governments need to make and carry out laws and stop illegal animal trading. Setting up more protected areas is a must to keep leopards safe. These protected areas can provide a safe haven for leopards to live and breed. 40 When they know leopards are important for the ecosystem, they’ll support protection. Only by working together can we make sure these wonderful leopards can survive and thrive.
A.Adult leopards live alone.
B.Educating local people is also important.
C.Leopard’s tail is just about as long as its entire body.
D.This is one reason why the leopard is an endangered animal.

People use body language almost every day. What is body language? How does it work?
Want to speak with your body? Use body language! A “V” gesture shows happiness, victory or peace. Opening the mouth wide shows surprise. This is body language.
When you speak with others, body language is important. Scientists say we do 65 per cent of our communication with body language. For example, when you make faces, people think you are naughty (淘气的) or shy. Frowning (皱眉) shows you are angry. Sometimes your words say one thing, but your body languages say another. For example, you touch your face while telling a lie.
In different cultures, the same body language may have different meanings. Nodding your head in most countries means “Yes”. But in some parts of Greece and Turkey, it means “No”.
Different body languages can also mean the same thing. Take “hello” for example. The French like to kiss cheeks (脸颊) to say “hello”. But the Japanese bow (鞠躬). Maoris (毛利人) in New Zealand touch noses with each other when they meet.
41.What does the “V” gesture mean according to the text?
42.What body language is the meaning of anger according to the text?
43.What does “nodding your head” mean in some parts of Greece and Turkey?

41.Happiness, victory or peace. 42.Frowning. 43.No. 44.My favourite body language mentioned in the text is “V” gesture, because this means happiness, victory or peace. Every time I take part in different kinds of competition, I will feel very nervous. However, when my parents show this body language to me to encourage me, I will be full of confidence.

45.has won 46.a 47.were sold 48.their 49.to meet 50.in 51.products 52.because 53.attractive 54.actively
根据“Over the past few months”可知,这是现在完成时的标志词,其结构为“have/has+过去分词”,主语“a popular toy”是单数,所以助动词用has,win的过去分词是won。故填has won。
“a team of...” 故填a。
根据“Soon after they came out”可知,是过去的时间,主语“more than 1,000 of these round and cheerful toys”与sell是被动关系,即玩具被卖,过去时的被动语态结构为“were/was+过去分词”,主语是复数,所以用were,sell的过去分词是sold。故填were sold。
故填their。
故填to meet。
“in a new way”表示“以一种新的方式”,是固定搭配。故填in。
后面“they give young people what they want”是前面“these new souvenirs are popular”的原因,所以用because引导原因状语从句。故填because。
