教学过程 Teaching Procedures
1. Lead-in (5 minutes)
Show a short video clip of a funny story scene. Ask students “Have you ever seen someone believing something that isn't true? What happened?” Then show the title The Emperor's New Clothes and some pictures of emperors, leading in the topic.
2. Pre-listening (10 minutes):
Vocabulary Teaching:
Present new words(emperor, cheat, stupid, silly, noble, silk, thread)with pictures on PPT. Read aloud and have students repeat. Do a quick word-matching game to check understanding.
Sentence Pattern Teaching:
Introduce sentence patterns like “The story is about...” “The emperor was so... that...” “No one wanted to sound...” through simple examples related to the story. Let students practice making sentences.
3. While-listening (15 minutes) :
Listening Practice:
Play the recording of 1b. Students listen and number the pictures according to the story sequence. For 1c-1d, play the recording again, students listen and fill in the blanks with missing words. Check the answers and correct pronunciation mistakes.
Speaking Practice:
Pair-work—Students practice retelling parts of the story to each other using the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns. For example, describe how the cheats tricked the emperor. Walk around to offer help and correct errors.
4. Post-listening (10 minutes):
Group-work: Divide students into groups of 4. Each group creates a short dialogue. One group member acts as a reporter, and the others act as the emperor, the cheats, and a noble. They talk about the events in the story and express their opinions. Then groups present their dialogues in class.
5. Summary (5 minutes):
Review key vocabulary and important sentence patterns on the blackboard. Summarize the main plot and moral of the story. Encourage students to be brave enough to tell the truth in life.

教学反思
Teaching Reflection
During the class, some students had difficulty pronouncing “cheat” clearly. In group activities, a few students dominated the discussion, while others participated less. Also, many students found it hard to retell the story with complete details and correct grammar. Next time, more individual pronunciation guidance and more balanced group-work arrangements are needed.
教学评估
Teaching Evaluation
Classroom Observation:
Assess students' participation in listening tasks, pair-work, and group-work. Evaluate their pronunciation, vocabulary usage, and ability to express ideas.
Homework Assessment:
Check students' written summaries for accuracy of content, correct use of vocabulary and grammar, and clarity of expression.
