授课教材 人教版八年级下册 授课题目 Unit 2 I'll help to clean up the city parks? Section B(3a-self check) 课时 课型 第 6 课时 写作课 主题情境 人与社会 教学目标Teaching Aims (基于英语学科核心素养) 1. Language Competence: 1) Students can use the target language about volunteering to write a short passage. 2) Master the key words, phrases and sentence patterns in this unit. 2. Cultural Awareness: Understand the significance of volunteering in different cultures and be inspired to participate in volunteer activities. 3. Thinking Quality: Organize ideas logically when writing and improve critical thinking by evaluating their own and others' writing. 4. Learning Ability: Learn writing skills through guided writing and peer-review, and be able to summarize and review the knowledge of this unit independently. 教学重点 Key Points 1. Review and consolidate the key vocabulary, such as "clean up", "cheer up", "give out", "volunteer", etc. 2. Master the writing structure and useful expressions for writing about volunteering activities. 教学难点 Difficult Points 1. Help students to organize their thoughts clearly and write a well-structured and meaningful passage about volunteering. 2. Guide students to express their own opinions and feelings about volunteering in English accurately. 教学方法 Teaching Methods PPP (Pre-writing, While-writing, Post-writing) model, task-based and cooperative learning methods 教学工具 Teaching Aids Multimedia projector, blackboard, handouts 教学过程 Teaching Procedures 1. Lead-in (5 minutes) Show some pictures of different volunteer activities on the PPT and ask students: "What volunteer work can you see in these pictures? Have you ever done any volunteer work? Share your experiences briefly." 2. Pre-writing (5 minutes) Greet students and review key words and phrases in Unit 2 by showing pictures. For example, show a picture of people giving out food to the homeless, and ask students to say the phrase “give out”. Review sentence patterns like “I'll help to...“, “I want to volunteer...”. 3. While-writing(15 minutes) (1) Model Analysis Present a sample volunteering report on the screen. Analyze the structure with students: Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic of volunteering, for example, “Volunteering is a great way to help others and make a difference in our community. Last weekend, I had an unforgettable volunteering experience.” Body: Describe the details of the volunteering activity, including what tasks were done, who was helped. Use simple past tense, e.g., “We went to the local nursing home. First, we cleaned the rooms and then we sang songs for the elderly people.” Conclusion: Express personal feelings and the significance of the activity, like “It was a tiring but rewarding day. I realized that even small acts of kindness can bring great joy to others.” Underline the key words, phrases and sentence structures in the sample for students to imitate. (2) Writing Practice Ask students to write their own volunteering reports. Give them some hints if necessary, such as “What volunteering activity did you join? When and where did it happen? What did you do and how did you feel?” Walk around the classroom to offer individual guidance. 4. Post-writing(15 minutes) (1) Peer Review Pair students up. Let them exchange their writing and check for mistakes in grammar, spelling and vocabulary. They can also give suggestions on how to make the writing more vivid, for example, adding more details or using more descriptive words. Provide a checklist for peer review: · Are there any grammar mistakes? · Are the key words and phrases used correctly? · Is the structure of the report clear? · Are there enough details in the body part? (2) Sharing and Revision Invite some students to share their writing in front of the class. After sharing, the whole class can give feedback. Encourage students to revise their writing according to the feedback and make it better. 5. Summary (5 minutes): Summarize key vocabulary, writing skills, and cultural knowledge. Invite students to share their learning and areas for improvement. 作业设计 Homework Design Revise writing based on peer feedback and submit a final version. Create a mind-map to summarize unit knowledge. 板书设计 Blackboard Design 教学反思 Teaching Reflection and Evaluation Teaching Reflection: Evaluate whether the teaching procedures are clear and logical. If students had difficulty in understanding the writing structure, adjust the way of model analysis in future classes. Consider whether enough time was given for students' writing practice and peer review. Maybe allocate more time for sharing in the post-writing stage to encourage more students to participate. Teaching Evaluation: Evaluate students' writing according to the writing rubric, which includes aspects like grammar accuracy, content richness, and structure clarity. Assess students' performance in the unit review activities, such as their participation in the word-guessing game and their ability to use modal verbs correctly. 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
