应用文范文1:
A Historical Figure in China
When it comes to a historical figure in China, LiBai is the first name to come into my mind.
Li Bai, a great romantic poet in Tang Dynasty , was born into a rich family in Jiangyou, SiChuan province. His life was full of travels, which contributes to him creating numerous magnificent poems, expressing his love for nature and life. In addition, his works are rich in imagination and passion, gaining the popularity from generation to generation. There is no denying that he is an extraordinary representative of Chinese classical literature, making significant contributions to the development of Chinese poetry.
The lesson he offers to us is that though faced with so many difficulties in life, he never gives up. From LiBai we know perseverance will pay off sooner or later, so never say never.
应用文范文2:
Confucius is a well-known figure in Chinese history. His teachings emphasized the importance of moral values, respect for elders, and social harmony. Confucius traveled throughout the country, imparting(传授) his wisdom to countless disciples(追随者) and leaving a profound(深远的) impact on Chinese society.
The significance of Confucius cannot be overstated(夸大). His teachings shaped the moral and ethical foundation of Chinese culture, fostering respect for authority, harmonious relationships, and the pursuit of knowledge. Even today, his ideas continue to guide individuals and communities in China and beyond.
Confucius’s life offers valuable lessons. He stressed the self-cultivation, respect for elders, and the pursuit of knowledge, which serves as a guiding light in our fast-paced and interconnected world. His teachings remind us of the importance of integrity, compassion, and social responsibility.
续写范文:
Mary stopped, frozen as still as a statue. Mother bent down to Mary's level, holding her hands gently as she spoke, "I'm Linda's mother. I need your help, Mary." Out of expectation, Mary looked at my mother, confused and shocked. At that moment, I just stood there praying my mother's plan would be over quickly. Then, my mother continued, “Linda needs a best friend to walk home with her after school. Would you be Linda's friend, Mary?”
Mary chewed on her bottom lip and then nodded. “Oh, thank you!" my mother said gratefully and joyfully. Then she gave both Mary and me a big hug, and called to us, "Bye, girls. Have a good day.” Mary and I walked on to school, both staring straight ahead without speaking. But I noticed Mary was smiling. I've never seen her smile before. From that day, we walked each day after school together, and soon we were talking, laughing and sharing secrets. Gradually, Mary had more friends and smiled a lot. It was right then that I knew my mother's plan had worked.

I grew up surrounded by animals. Now, I keep cute chickens as pets. “Mummy, the chicken coop
(笼子) is dirty,” Chad said. So I got up to clear it up. It is what I always do.
But a few years ago, things weren’t as good as they could have been. At that time, I wasn’t in a

“I’m going to start an online shop selling beautiful accessories (装饰物 ) for feathered and furry
friends,” I told Matt.
I did some research and bought many products, and the shop was soon fully filled with dog
and cat toys. I named it Edna Co after my cat, which went live in 2020. To my surprise, the
customers loved it. Sometimes, I come up with some novel ideas. One afternoon, I had an idea to
sell chicken nappies (尿布), believing they would be a hit with customers.
Working like nappies for babies, the chicken nappies sold out soon, with orders coming from
all over the country. Now, they are my bestsellers. As for me, I’m finding happiness again and my

What is green food? Do you enjoy green food every day? The concept of “green food” was
first suggested by the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture in 1990.
Green symbolizes life, health and energy. Nowadays, people demand healthy and fresh food.
Having enough food to eat is only a basic requirement, and they need more than this. They want to

Safe vegetables refers to products without substances harmful to humans. Growing such
vegetables requires no strong poisons, thus guaranteeing vegetables fresh and clean. There are strict

decoration and tag regulations.

Anger is good for you,as long as you control it,according to new psychology research.A new
study from Carnegie Mellon University shows anger may help people reduce the negative impacts
of stress and help you become healthier.
第5页,共10页
“Here getting emotional is not bad for you if you look at the case of anger,”said Jennifer
Lerner of Carnegie Mellon.“The more people display anger, the lower their stress responses.’’
Lerner studied 92 UCLA students by asking them to count back from 6200.They must say out
loud every thirteenth number.Researchers disturbed them by asking them to count faster or ask
them other questions. If they made any mistakes, they had to restart from the very beginning. Many
students felt depressed about making so many mistakes or got angry.
Lerner used a hidden video camera and recorded all their facial expressions during the test.
The researchers describe their reactions as fear, anger and disgust(反感).
Other researchers recorded the students’ blood pressure, pulse (脉搏)and production of a
high-stress hormone(荷尔蒙 ) called cortisol.People whose faces showed more fear during the
experiment had higher blood pressure and higher levels of the hormone. Both can have lasting
effects such as diabetes(糖尿病),heart disease, depression and extra weight gain.
When people feel fear, negative impacts increase, but when they get angry, those negatives go
down,according to the study.
“Having that sense of anger leads people to actually feel some power in what otherwise is a
maddening(令人发狂的) situation,” Lerner said.
Lerner previously studied Americans’ emotional response to the 911 terrorist (恐怖分子 )
attacks two months after the incident. She found people who reacted with anger were more
optimistic. These people are healthier compared with those who were frightened during the event.
So in maddening situations, anger is not a bad thing to have. It’s a healthier response than fear.
32. The researchers irritated(激怒) the students by .
A.recording their performance secretly
B.asking them to count to 6200 again and again
C.disturbing them and making them start all over again
D.criticizing them when they made mistakes
33.Which statement will Jennifer Lerner agree with?
A.It’s better to be angry than to be frightened.
B.Different reactions reflect different attitudes to life.
C.Don’t control your anger and it makes you powerful.
D.Pessimistic people are generally healthier than optimistic people.
34. What does the underlined word “both” refer to according to the passage?
A.Fear and anger. B.Blood pressure and pulse.
C.Blood pressure and cortisol. D.Higher blood pressure and higher levels of the hormone.
第6页,共10页
35.What is the story mainly about?
A.The findings of a new psychology research.
B.What you can do with anger in certain cases.
C.Different effects produced by anger and fear.
D.Healthier responses in maddening situations。

school—Mary.
Daily when I walked the short distance home after school, Mary would hit me and scare me. I
was absolutely frightened of her. She had failed first grade and was a year older than me. Mary
didn't have any friends, so she seemed to concentrate on making enemies(树敌). Because I was one
of the smallest children in first grade, she had selected me as her number one enemy.
As soon as the bell rang each day, my heart started to pound(剧烈地跳动)and I blinked(眨

Pretty soon my mother figured out something was wrong at school. I didn't want to tell her
about Mary. Mother continued to question me, and I finally sobbed out(哭诉) the whole story. I
begged not to go to school and didn't sleep much that night. The next morning she said, “Linda, I'm
going to walk up the hill with you today. I believe we'll see Mary." Mary walked from way across
down to school. She never bothered me on the way to school, only afterward.
“Oh, mama, please don't do that! Don't say anything to Mary. It will just make her mad. Let me
stay home by myself. Please, mama.”
"Hurry and get dressed, Linda.” Her voice was gentle, but quite firm.
“Ple-e-ease, mama.”
“Trust, Linda. I have a plan.”
We bundled up (穿上保暖衣物 ) against the freezing cold wind and stared out. Maybe we
wouldn't see Mary, I hoped. But my mother had this confident look. I knew the look well, and I had
a sinking feeling that we would see Mary and that mother would use her “plan”.
Just as we turned around at a corner, we spotted(发现) Mary. We waited a few moments as
she approached us. “Hello, Mary," my mother said softly.
