Today we will learn Unit 8 Birthdays.Learning objectives. Go! Activity One Step 1. Learn the phrases 学习要求:1.自读短语。 2.S读给T听。(不会的可以求助哦!) a birthday cake play games eat noodles have a party 3.写出两至三个难读的单词:_________________________________ T: Try to read the new phrases. T: Now, read with your partners. 【设计意图】本环节既检测了学生单词的朗读是否准确,又是对学伴合作的考验。学伴间互相读单词、纠正发音并评价。 Step 2. Look and say A: Guess, when is my birthday? B: Your birthday is on the __________ of August. 我的发现: 1. 一般情况下,序数词以______________结尾。 2. 描述“生日在几月几日”时,用“It’s ________ the + 序数词 +________+月份”来表示。 T: Look at the picture. Ask and answer with your partner. 【设计意图】通过对话,用生日的话题引出日期表达法的教学。便于更好地理解日期的用法,更好地掌握表达的形式,并借此引入本课主题。 Activity Two Step 1 Look and say T:Look at the pictures of Pages 78 and 79, ask and answer the questions with your partner. (1)Whose birthdays are they talking about? (2)When are their birthdays? 【设计意图】本环节带领学生整体感知文本。教师要求学生带着问题观察图片并思考,能培养学生的信息提取能力。 Step 2 Read and find T:Now, let’s read Page 78 twice. Next, read silently and underline the answers. Don’t forget to work it out with your partner. (1)When’s Su Yang’s birthday?(2)What do they do on their birthdays? (3)How do they feel? 想一想:What do they eat for dinner? 【设计意图】本环节旨在引领学生带着问题读课文,对文本有针对性地进行处理。这三个问题正好对应了本课所需解决的三个大问题,这样设计有助于学生思考问题,理解文本时更有条理。培养学生的逻辑思维能力。 Step 3 Read and think 学习要求:1. 跟读课文两遍。2. 自读三遍。3. Now, read these two long sentences after the tape twice. Pay attention to the pauses in sentences. (2)Where do they have the party? 【设计意图】通过对课文内容的判断,让学生了解文章细节,并在此过程中加深对于故事情节发展的了解。并借助课文中两个孩子在过生日时不同的饮食和活动,进行中西方文化差异的渗透。让学生深入了解各国习俗,懂得尊重文化差异。 Step 5 Read and mark 学习要求:1.听录音,标出重读和停顿。2. S读给T听。 Helen , Tim and I go to buy a birthday cake in the morning. we eat the birthday cake together and play some games. T: This time, let’s listen and imitate the two sentences, mark the stress and the pause at the same time. Then read with your partner. Activity Three Step 1 Read and recite T:Let’s read after the tape, pay attention to the stress and the pause. Then recite the sentences for one minute. Go! (1)We usually have a big dinner with our parents and grandparents. (2)After that, we play with Kitty the cat. (3)Helen, Tim and I go to buy a birthday cake in the morning.
