语法考点一：there be结构的一般过去式时的否定句

【课文原句】There was no library in my old school.我以前的学校里没有图书馆。

【句型结构】There was/were+no/not+某物/某人+其他

【重点讲解】

★此句型用来表示过去某处没有某物或某人。

★这是there be结构的一般过去式时的否定句形式。

★当某物是可数名词单数或不可数名词时，be动词用was。当某物是可数名词复数时，be动词用were。

【例句1】There was no colourful bird in the tree.=There was not a colourful bird in the tree.

树上没有彩色的鸟。

【例句2】There were no elephants in the zoo one year ago.一年前动物园里没有大象。
