During the 1 Festival, China’s box office revenue (收入) reached 11 billion yuan, setting a global record. The 8-day holiday alone earned 9.51 billion yuan, with 187 million viewers, breaking previous records. Of the other five films released at the same time, 2 compared to (媲美) Ne Zha 2. This animated sequel, a follow-up to the 2019 hit Ne Zha, earned over 4.8 billion yuan during the holiday. By Thursday, it had beaten The Battle at Lake Changjin (5.775 billion yuan) to become China’s highest-grossing film. Analysts predicted it might reach 9.5 billion yuan. Its distributor (发行方), Enlight Media, saw stock prices rise 3 42% in two days. 4 , Ne Zha 2 outperformed Hollywood’s Inside Out 2 ($653 million), becoming the biggest animated film. “Blockbusters are back in China,” said Imax CEO Rich Gelfond. The film’s story, rooted in Chinese myths, follows Ne Zha, a hero forced to destroy the world but fighting to choose his fate. The film’s themes of family, friendship, and self-identity 5 moved audiences, especially during the Spring Festival, a time for family reunions. Visually, the film mixed traditional Chinese art and advanced animation. Over 1,900 special effects shots and three years of work on a single scene showed China’s 6 in animation technology. Executive producer Chen Changjiang stated that the team aimed to push the limits (极限) of film effects, not just animation (动画片). Director Yang Yu (Jiaozi) credited the film’s success to energy and hard work. “Treat every project like it’s your 7 one,” he said. With 4,000 team members, Ne Zha 2 reflects China’s animation journey, from 8 technologically to leading globally. The 9 success also highlights the power of “Chinese IPs”—stories told with local cultures and values. As Chen said, “We’re not just making movies; we’re 10 China’s history with the world.” This record-breaking performance has given the film industry a boost after a slow 2024. The government has started a three-year “Weight Management Year” program from 2024 to 2027 to fight against obesity, which can lead to serious health illnesses. Here’s what you should know about the latest instructions. Firstly, it is necessary to check your BMI (Body Mass Index). For adults, a healthy BMI is from 18.5 to 24. If your BMI is between 24 and 28, you are overweight; a BMI of 28 or higher is considered as obesity. Moreover, you need to know the size of your waist: men should keep it under 90 cm, and women under 85 cm. Eating right is important, and exercise matters just as much! When it comes to diet, choose whole grains like brown rice, fresh vegetables, and high-protein foods such as fish, chicken, or beans. Keep away from fried foods and high-sugar snacks, and also reduce your salt and oil intake. To our surprise, the instructions even include some local dishes—like the “strewed fish” from Northeast China or the “noodles with pepper oil” from the Northwest. When it comes to exercise, you are advised to do sports like walking, cycling or dancing for 150-300 minutes each week, plus strength exercises twice a week. If you find yourself sitting for a few hours while studying, make sure to stand up and stretch for 3-5 minutes every hour. In addition to diet and exercise, small daily habits can also help. Teens should get 7 hours of sleep nightly, as poor sleep can increase weight, too. Try eating vegetables first, then meat, and finally rice or bread during meals to control the amount of food. Schools and hospitals are also giving a helping hand. For example, schools across the country are encouraged to provide at least a P. E. class a day. Hospitals have set up special “weight management clinics”, where doctors provide personalized diet and exercise plans. By 2030, China hopes to slow down the growth of obesity through education and support. Remember, losing weight isn’t about going for perfection—only start with small changes, like drinking water instead of other drinks or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. With these small steps, everyone can build a healthier future! The word “obesity” means a condition of being too fat. The word “waist” means the middle part of the human body. 14.If a man’s BMI is 30, he ________. A.is in good health B.needs to lose some weight C.has a perfect body shape D.must go to hospital 15.What can we infer from the text about the relationship between sleep and weight? A.Longer sleep always leads to weight loss. B.Sleep has nothing to do with weight. C.Adults need less sleep than teens to control their weight. D.Enough sleep helps teens keep a healthy weight. 16.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage? (①= Paragraph 1  ②= Paragraph 2, …) A. B. C. D. 17.What is the best title for this passage? A.The Importance of Eating Right B.Disadvantages of Obesity C.Chinese Healthy Lifestyle D.China’s Weight Management Instructions 【答案】14.B 15.D 16.C 17.D 【文章大意】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲述了中国政府为帮助人们管理体重和过上更健康的生活而推出的“体重管理年”计划,并详细介绍了相关的健康建议和措施。 14.细节理解题。根据文章第2段“For adults, a healthy BMI is from 18.5 to 24. If your BMI is between 24 and 28, you are overweight; a BMI of 28 or higher is considered as obesity.”可知,BMI为30属于肥胖,因此这个人需要减肥。故选B。 15.推理判断题。根据文章第5段“Teens should get 7 hours of sleep nightly, as poor sleep can increase weight, too.” D。 C Nora was feeling bad. She thought it was the worst week in her life. On Monday, she broke her new watch. On Tuesday, she fell off her bike. On Wednesday, she made a mess of her favorite skirt. On Thursday, she missed her piano lesson. On Friday, her mum worked late so she had to stay at school for one more hour! She went home and said to her mum, “My whole week was bad. Those bad things still stay in my mind. Why do I only remember something bad? There must be something wrong with me!” Mum smiled and said, “My girl! Don’t be angry with yourself. Everyone feels like that from time to time. Our mind remembers bad things because it wants to keep us safe. Bad feelings are not easy to leave. You need some practice to change your mind.” “What should I do?” Nora asked. “Take a few deep breaths and try to think about something happy,” Mum said. Nora took a few deep breaths as Mum told her to and tried to think of beautiful flowers and the blue sky. “Wow!” said Nora. “It’s quite easy to change my mind!” The next week, while Nora was walking to school, she knocked on a tree and fell over. She felt her face getting hot. She was going to get angry again. Just at the moment, she remembered Mum’s words and the mind-changing power! She took a deep breath and tried to feel the warm sun on her face. It worked! It really worked! She felt much better! “Well, I fell over,” she said, “But I also get to play outside, climb trees, and help my dad bake bread! Life is not that bad!” Then she smiled because she found the secret of being happy. 18.What did Nora break on Monday? A.Her piano. B.Her skirt. C.Her watch. D.Her bike. 19.Why does our mind always remember bad things? A.To keep us safe. B.To make us sad. C.To drive us mad. D.To get us prepared. 20.What happened to Nora on her way to school the next week? We tend to think that music is larger than our cultural differences and shows the deeper connections between us. But according to a recent study published in the Current Biology, music doesn’t speak to everyone. There is a condition, the researchers argue, called “musical anhedonia”. They say that those who have this condition may have few abilities to experience pleasure from music. For the study, 30 people listened to the same, mostly classical music pieces. They were then asked to complete a questionnaire on how they felt about the music. The purpose is to see whether music works in the same way for all people. At the same time, the researchers measured their heart rate and skin reaction (反应), which are considered physiological (生理的) measures of feelings. According to the researchers, most of the people in the study got pleasure from the music. They had a quicker heartbeat and sweated (出汗) more. However, a small number of them had very little and even no pleasant feeling while they were listening to the music. These people had none or very few of the physical signs which the others in the study experienced. The researchers say that this means people have different abilities to enjoy music and that “there are people who specifically can’t enjoy music at all”. To study the condition more deeply, another group of scientists, at Columbia University, US, researched brain activities. They found that the key is the blood flow to the reward system in the brain. People who got less pleasure from music had comparatively lower blood flow to areas involved in the reward system of the brain when they were listening to music. The lower blood flow makes it more likely that the brain’s “reward system” will be inactive. And it will produce less of the “pleasure chemical” dopamine (多巴胺). As a result, people get less pleasure from music. People who enjoyed music had more dopamine produced. If the research is correct, according to National Public Radio, there are simply people who just don’t get music. They may get pleasure from many things, but good music isn’t one of them. 22.The people who are called musical anhedonia _______. A.can’t feel the pleasure that music brings to others B.like to listen to certain types of music C.believe cultural differences are larger than music D.avoid listening to music 23.What was the purpose of the study mentioned in Current Biology? A.To learn what music people love the most. B.To understand the relationship between music and the body. C.To see whether music works in the same way for all people. D.To learn how music influences people’s feelings. 24.What happened in the study when people listened to music? A.All of them had faster heartbeat and sweated more. B.Those who enjoyed music had slower blood flow. C.They showed different physical signs as the music changed. D.Those who enjoyed music had more dopamine produced. 25.Which part of a magazine may the article be in? A.Science. B.Sports. C.Health. D.Fashion. 根据第二段“They say that those who have this condition may have few abilities to experience pleasure from music.”可知,患有音乐快感缺失症的人无法感受到音乐给他人带来的快乐。故选A。 23.细节理解题。根据第三段“The purpose is to see whether music works in the same way for all people.”可知,《当代生物学》中提到的研究目的是看看音乐对所有人的作用是否相同。故选C。 24.细节理解题。根据倒数第二段“People who enjoyed music had more dopamine produced.”可知,喜欢音乐的人会产生更多的多巴胺。故选D。 25.推理判断题。本文主要介绍了关于音乐快感缺失症的科学研究,属于科学范畴,所以本文可能出现在杂志的科学板块。故选A。 第三部分 信息还原(共5小题:每小题1分,满分5分) 请认真阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Every time you’re online, you are bombarded by pictures, links (网页链接), articles and videos trying to tell their stories. 26 Read these tips, and don’t get fooled by fake (假的) news! B China is making efforts to help people manage their weight and lead healthier lives. A.The Importance of Eating Right B.Disadvantages of Obesity C.Chinese Healthy Lifestyle D.China’s Weight Management Instructions C Nora was feeling bad. A.listening to teachers B.enjoying the flowers C.making more friends D.changing the mind D They say music is universal (全球的), and it seems to be true since wherever we go, we see people listening, playing or dancing to it. A.Science. B.Sports. C.Health. D.Fashion. 第三部分 信息还原(共5小题:每小题1分,满分5分) 请认真阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Every time you’re online, you are bombarded by pictures, links (网页链接), articles and videos trying to tell their stories. 26 Read these tips, and don’t get fooled by fake (假的) news! He was born in Chicago in 1870. When he was 16, his grandmother took him to Europe. He took a camera with him, and took pictures. When he was 17, he went to Europe again with his grandmother. That year they also went to California and to Cuba. Burton was on the road all the time after that. Everywhere he went, he took at least one camera. Then Holmes began giving talks to the Chicago Camera Club. His talks were so popular that he decided to build a business on them. Holmes’s first travel pictures were on glass slides (幻灯片). This was only a year after movies first were shown to a group of people in New York. Later, he set up a film company and his films became popular. B China is making efforts to help people manage their weight and lead healthier lives. A.The Importance of Eating Right B.Disadvantages of Obesity C.Chinese Healthy Lifestyle D.China’s Weight Management Instructions C Nora was feeling bad. A.She met her best friend. B.She fell off the bike. C.She knocked on a tree. D.She forgot the homework. 21.The underlined word “secret” in the last paragraph refers to ________. A.listening to teachers B.enjoying the flowers C.making more friends D.changing the mind D They say music is universal (全球的), and it seems to be true since wherever we go, we see people listening, playing or dancing to it. A.Science. B.Sports. C.Health.
