Greet the class. 2. Ask some students to retell a story from 1b, 1c or 2a.3. Ask students to recall and name as many English tenses as they can. Write these on the board. Discuss briefly how these tenses are used in everyday communication. Step 2 Work on 3a 1 . Introduce the Grammar Focus topic by showing a few example sentences from the textbook(3a). 2. Guide students to identify the tenses used in each sentence and discuss when these tense.are appropriate to use. Encourage students to give their own examples. Step 3 Work on 3b 1.Look at the task in 3b. Ask students to choose the correct forms of the verbs. Work through each sentence together, emphasizing the rules for tense changes. 2. Allow students to check their answers in pairs before revealing the correct forms. 3.Check answers in class. The answers are : (1)was;was(2)tell;told (3)asked; promised(4)lied; bought (5 )feel; lose ; lost Step 4 Work on 3c 1. Assign students the task of completing a short story using the correct verb forms provided in brackets, Walk around the classroom to provide assistance as needed. 2. Check answers in class, The answers are: asked; give; answered; grew; is; painted;like; smiled; took; said. Step 5 Work on 3d 1. Invite a few volunteers to share their favourite stories and explain why they like them.Encourage other students to ask questions or share their thoughts. 2. Create small groups where each member shares their story and the group discusses the themes , emotions , and tenses used. Step 6 Summary Recap the key points covered, emphasizing the importance of correct tense usage in communication.
