For some kids in Barcelona, Spain, their Friday commute (通勤) to school has become a little different.
In September 2021, five children in Eixample, Barcelona, started up a “bike bus” program. Each Friday, they ride their bikes to school with their parents. Each time before doing so, they post their route online for other people to see. Anyone is welcomed to join them. The group has quickly grown to include hundreds of riders.
The bike bus begins around 8 a. m. every Friday and lasts for about 25 minutes. It starts off with just a few students and parents, with more and more joining up with them as they travel along. There are several schools along the route. When students reach their school, they leave the “bus” and park their bikes. Instead of riding only in bike lanes, the bike bus takes over the whole street. With music playing and bike bells ringing, it feels like a party. The local police support the program. They ensure the safety of the kids and parents by riding in front of the group and behind it.
Before the bike bus program, it wasn’t completely safe for kids in Eixample to go to school by bike. The bike lanes are narrow and the traffic is busy. Parents hope that the bike bus program will change people’s ideas about getting around. Biking, they say, is a great form of exercise. It’s also more environment-friendly than driving.
That said, the bike bus isn’t an completely new idea. There have been similar programs called “bike trains”. How do you like these programs? Would you consider joining one if there happened to be a bike bus (or train) in your community?

Social media has a lot of benefits, and one of them is that it’s now really easy to share our news with others. Posting on social media is a really quick way to get information out—before we know it, the news may have been shared with hundreds, thousands or even millions of people. But is this always a good thing?
It’s now really common for people to “share” posts on social media. The platforms (平台) are set up so that it’s very easy to pass on information to a much wider audience whether this is through text, image, audio or video. One click (点击) and the message is out there for the whole world to see. When this happens, very often people are free to comment (评论) on what they see. This can produce great results—especially if it’s something that can help people. For example, many charities have been able to increase donations (捐赠) through social media.
Sometimes we want our news to be shared because it’s something we’re celebrating, like the birth of a new baby, or the fact that we’ve just passed an exam. It could be a picture of ourselves that we really like, and we want others to see it. How useful it is, then, to create a group with friends and family so everyone can “share” and enjoy each other’s stories!
Online sharing isn’t always caring. In fact, some types of posts can often have a really bad effect on people. They could make them very unhappy or affect the way they feel about themselves. Sometimes, when people come across these types of posts, they share without thinking about the results. It can be easy to think that there’s nothing wrong with sharing a social media post that came from someone else, or that has already become “viral (爆红的)”. We can tell ourselves that “I didn’t write it so I’m not responsible” or that “everyone was doing it”. These are not good enough reasons or excuses. By being online, we must understand and accept the responsibilities that come with this—otherwise we shouldn’t be there just yet.
23. What is one benefit of social media?
A. Free news. B. Quick information sharing. C. Fewer comments.
24. What does the underlined word “These” in the last paragraph refer to?
A. Bad effects on people.
B. Unhappy feelings.
C. Reasons like “I didn’t write it so I’m not responsible”.
25. What can we infer from the passage about sharing posts on social media?
A. It always brings good results.
B. It never causes problems.
C. People should think before sharing.
26. Which of the following is the best title for the passage?
A. Social Media B. Online Sharing C. Good News on Social Media
【答案】23. B 24. C 25. C 26. B
【解析】
【导语】本文是一篇议论文,主要探讨了社交媒体快速分享信息的利弊,强调人们在分享时应承担的责任。

【25题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章最后一段“Sometimes, when people come across these types of posts, they share without thinking about the results...By being online, we must understand and accept the responsibilities that come with this”可知,有时,人们会不假思索地分享帖子,通过上网,我们必须理解并接受随之而来的责任。

Dear Tom,
I’m very glad to hear that you’re interested in the Dragon Boat Festival. I’d like to introduce it to you.
The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It’s in memory of the great poet Qu Yuan. He drowned himself in the river, and people threw zongzi into the river to prevent the fish from eating his body.
On this day, people usually eat zongzi, which is made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo leaves. There are also dragon boat races in many places. It’s really exciting to watch the dragon boats moving fast on the river.
I love the Dragon Boat Festival because it not only gives me a chance to enjoy delicious zongzi but also makes me feel the strong cultural atmosphere of our country. It’s a symbol of our traditional culture.
Looking forward to your reply.

For some kids in Barcelona, Spain, their Friday commute (通勤) to school has become a little different.
In September 2021 five children in Eixample, Barcelona, started up a “bike bus” program.

The platforms (平台) are set up so that it’s very easy to pass on information to a much wider audience, whether this is through text, image, audio or video.
C People should think before sharing.
26. Which of the following is the best title for the passage?
A. Social Media B. Online Sharing C. Good News on Social Media
