Lesson 34:Modern Olympics教学设计 冀教版《初中英语》教材编排以单元整体教学为经,以育人目标为纬,主要有以下两条设计线索。一是暗线,即单元主题的架构。确保单元内各语篇内容之间联系紧密,螺旋上升,引导学生逐步建构和生成围绕单元主题的深层认知、态度和价值判断,推动实施单元整体教学。二是明线,即课程内容六要素的逻辑安排,以语篇为依托,通过学习理解、应用实践和迁移创新等活动,引导学生整合性地学习课程内容,进而运用所学知识、技能和策略,解决实际问题,培养核心素养。以下是一篇基于冀教版《初中英语》教材八年级下册设计的教学设计。 一、Teaching Objectives Students will be able to 1.Understand modern Olympics and learn to spell, pronounce and use the new words and phrases involved, and learn to describe the Olympics correctly. 2. Use different reading strategies to analyze the passage and find the answers to the questions and learn to deal with the tasks either by themselves or in groups. 3. Know the structure of the passage by analyzing the same things and changes of modern Olympics by different tasks, and then form the mind map to improve students’ thinking quality. 4.Experience the Olympic spirit and call for students to practice the Olympic spirit in their daily life. Let go for their dreams and make the future. 二、Teaching key & difficult points Key Points:Master the new words and phrases involved and understand the lesson deeply. Difficult Points:Talk about the Olympics in target language and experience the spirit of the Olympics. 三、Teaching Process Step 1 Warm up and lead-in 1. Enjoy a beautiful Olympic song -You and Me before class. 2. 2.Greet the students and warm up to help students quickly get ready for the class.  3. Show them some pictures about Olympics and get to know some new words involved to help students have a better understanding of modern Olympics, and finally lead in the title of the lesson. Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Discuss whether all the things are the same in modern Olympics. Then listen to the passage to check answers. Help students have a deeper understanding of the content with different tasks such as multiple choice question, and blank filling. Step 4 Post-reading 1. Practice. Have a free talk about Beijing Olympics to understand the changes in the modern Olympics. 2. Production. Show students some information about 2022 Winter Olympics and ask students to write a report in target language and share it with classmates.  Step 5 Summary and emotional promotion Conclude the lesson. During the process, encourage students to think about the Olympic spirit and call for students to practice the Olympic spirit in their daily life. Let go for their dreams and make the future. Step 6 Homework Give students two kinds of homework for students of different levels to help consolidate what they have learned in this lesson. Must do:1.
