教材分析:本单元核心话题 Section A 部分围绕我国和世界的“自然地理之最”如珠峰、明长城等展开,进一步拓展了比较级和最高级的使用,通过阅读培养学生克服困难、挑战极限的勇气和实践精神。而 Section B 部分则从对自然和文化的比较过渡到了动物这一话题,呈现了大象、熊猫及熊猫研究基地相关的内容,通过听、说、读、写等活动,引导学生了解大熊猫等濒危动物,培养保护动物的意识。本节课是关于大熊猫的一篇报道,具有说明文的特点。介绍了国宝大熊猫的日常生活,濒危的原因以及拯救的措施,该话题学生较为熟悉,可以引导学生多角度去思考,启发学生思维,学会用英语去表达,提高英语综合运用能力。
学情分析:通过初中一年半的英语学习,大多数学生已经能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简单的故事,能就熟悉的话题交换信息,能读懂短篇故事。但由于各种因素的影响,学生发展参差不齐。少数学生因为基础不好,学习很吃力而自暴自弃,学生两级分化严重,每节授课内容不宜过多,用多种教学手段充分调动学生兴趣。
课时目标:
语言能力:能学习并掌握:square, meter, deep, desert, population 等词汇;
2.熟练大数字的听说读写。
文化意识:了解世界和中国地理知识,能条理清晰的分享你所知其他地理方面的知识。
思维品质:通过学习世界及国家“地理之最”,培养对祖国的自豪感,对大自然的热爱之情。
学习能力:1.通过听说训练,学习并掌握物体长宽高及面积的表达。2.能通过模仿,熟练运用形容词和副词的比较级、最高级谈论自然地理事实。
