Working Out through Online Videos Physical exercise is good for our mind, body and spirit. Today, working out through online videos is becoming very popular.(题1)Since the Internet is widely used, it’s very easy for us to do so. That means we can work out anytime anywhere. 1. Which way to work out is becoming very popular today? ... Another friend of mine, Michael, told me that workout videos let him feel so comfortable.“I have a fear of working out at the gym(健身房), because I don’t like being watched by others(题2 ). Working out at home makes working out much more enjoyable,” he said. 2.Why does Michael dislike working out at the gym? “Without being with someone in person, you will be less willing(愿意的)to work out to your best(题3). Working out at the gym allows you to have advice in real time and get pushed harder,” my sister said to me. “Well, if you really want to have a try, first, choose proper programs or videos. That’s very important. And then ask your friends for advice. Their experiences can give you a good insight into what you can expect.Anyway, don’t be addicted(沉迷的) to it. You should try different ways to work out to be healthy.” 3.What is the problem of working out without someone else in person? Would you like to.../Do you think.../Do you agree.../Are you going to...? (回答Yes/No.) What do you think of.../Who...?(回答具体内容) Step 3 借鉴原文内容,给出理由支撑自己的观点(看清要求写几个理由或字数限制);逻辑自洽(该理由需支持自己前面给出的观点)(2分)。 Working Out through Online Videos Physical exercise is good for our mind, body and spirit. But did you know that they keep us all alive? Every year on the twentieth of May, it’s World Bee Day. It’s a day to thank bees for all they do. Without bees, we wouldn’t have any food! When bees fly from plant to plant, they carry pollen The pollen makes new plants grow. It is said that three-fourths of the world’s flowering plants and about 35 percent of the world’s food crops depend on bees and other animals to grow. Bees not only help flowers grow. They also help fruit and vegetables grow. It’s also a day to learn more about the problems bees are facing. Loss of natural habitat (栖息地), getting sick from chemicals (化学物质) used on crops, and higher temperatures with climate change are making the number of bees drop, said the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. People are now looking to technology to help save the bees. One example is the robotic bee project called RoboRoyale, said Horizon magazine. The European Commission funds (投资) it. The project makes robot bees to help feed and look after the queen bee. This will get the queen bee to lay more eggs and make more bees. So next time, let’s celebrate the day of the cute bees. 1.When is World Bee Day? 2.What can the pollen do? 3.How many problems do bees face according to the passage? 4.How do people help save the bees in this passage? 5.What will you do to celebrate World Bee Day? 2.(2025·江苏南通·一模)请认真阅读下面短文,并根据短文内容回答问题。 Two tickets. Only two tickets to the big basketball game. Three pairs of eyes all focused on the tickets in Dad’s hand. Marcus asked, “Only two tickets? But, Dad, which of us can go with you?” “Yeah, Daddy, who can go?” repeated Caleb. “Dad, can’t you get any more tickets?” I asked. “I’m afraid not,” Dad answered. “Mr Williams offered the two tickets to me when he found out he would be out of town this weekend.” Dad smiled and added, “I’ll have to figure out a fair (公平的) way of choosing between the three of you by tomorrow morning. I’ll have to decide who deserves (应得) it most.” The next morning, Marcus hurried into the kitchen. “Where’s Dad?” he asked. “He and Mum went to the library,” Caleb answered. “And he said we should all get started on housework as soon as we finish breakfast,” I added. “Housework! He must be kidding,” Marcus said. “I’m going for the preview (预告) of tonight’s game in the newspaper,” Marcus announced. “Wait for me!” Caleb rushed after him. I looked at the breakfast table in a mess. Well, I thought to myself, “It looks like Saturday morning’s housework starts right here.” A few minutes later, as I was doing the housework, I heard the basketball bouncıng off the driveway. I knocked on the window three times. The boys looked towards me. “Okay, we’re coming in to help. Just one more minute.” I carried the rubbish bag out to the dustbin outside the back door. “You guys, Mum and Dad will be back any minute,” I reminded them. I began to open the lid of the dustbin. There a white envelope (信封) caught my attention. I noticed that someone had written the sentence “Congratulations!” on the front of the envelope and inside it was the ticket! That evening, a dad and his daughter cheered their team to victory. It was a long-remembered lesson about duty from a dad who let his kids make their own choices. 1.Who offered Dad the tickets? 2.When would the basketball game take place? 3.What were the brothers doing when the writer was doing the housework? 4.Where did the writer find the ticket? 5.What can we learn from the story? It encourages people to make the best of a situation, to see the “bright side” of things. It calls attention to the way sunflowers follow the sun during the day. People have known about this phenomenon (现象) for a long time. And scientists have discovered how this works. They have known why sunflowers keep their “faces” to the sunshine. Sunflowers move and respond to their environment. These flowers actually face the sun as it rises in the east and follow it as it moves across the sky until it sets in the west. Just like people, these flowers depend on the daily rhythms (节奏) of the day and night. Both sunflowers and human beings wake up in the morning, follow the sun all day and then rest at night. During the day, young sunflower plants track the sun from east to west. Their heads turn towards the sun. At night, the young plants turn east waiting for the sun to rise in the morning. Adult sunflowers don’t move. Once the flowers are open, they face only east. Scientists have discovered that this movement has to do with uneven (不均匀的) growth in the plant stems. One side of the stem gets bigger during the day, and at night the other side gets bigger. Certain genes control this growth. They respond to the light and cause the flowers to turn to face the sun. Scientists have found that young sunflowers that follow the sun have more biomass (生物量)—that means that they get bigger. Adult plants facing the east get warmer. That attracts more bees and other insects that will help pollinate (授粉) the plants. This means that the plants can produce seeds and have a better chance of reproducing. 1.What do young sunflowers usually do during the day? 2.Why do both sunflowers and human beings depend on the daily rhythms of the day and night? 3.When do the young sunflower plants turn to face the east? 4.According to scientists, what has to do with the movement of the sunflowers? 5.What can we learn from the sunflowers? (请自拟一句话作答) 4.(2025·江苏无锡·一模)Since the beginning of this term, primary and junior high schools in Shenzhen have carried out a new measure (措施) to make sure that students have daily physical education (PE) classes. Shenzhen is the first city in the country to require schools to organize daily PE for students at the compulsory education (义务教育) level. Buxin Primary School in Luohu District started using a “3+1+1” model, which includes three regular PE classes, one music-based exercise class, and one sports game class to make sure of five PE classes per week. Because there aren’t enough PE teachers to teach all the new classes, the school had to ask teachers from other subject areas to lead many of the PE classes. Liu Xunhua, a Chinese-language teacher at the school, has taken on the role of a part-time PE teacher. Liu leads students in activities such as jump rope and jumping jacks (开合跳). “Everything is for the health of the students, and we support the new measure.” said Liu. Like other nonprofessional (非专业的) PE teachers, Liu took PE training classes and found chances to learn from professional PE teachers. Chen Xinru, a grade 8 student from Xin’an Middle School, said that a daily PE class has many advantages and helps her a lot. “When I am tired, I can relax by running or playing basketball and I can become more focused in class,” said Chen. Luo Xing, a PE teacher from the same school, said that the daily PE class makes a big difference to students’ physical and mental health. 1.Why did Buxin Primary School begin using a “3+1+1” model? 2.What problem did Buxin Primary School have when they started the new PE classes? 3.How do non-professional PE teachers improve their teaching skills? 4.According to Chen Xinru, what advantages does a daily PE class bring to her? 5.What do you think of the measure to make sure of the daily PE class? It is easy for many people to catch a cold in spring or fall. It makes us wonder since scientists can send a man to the moon, why they can’t find a cure for common colds. The answer is easy — there are actually (实际上) many different cold viruses (病毒). You never know which one you will get, so there isn’t a cure for each one. When a virus gets into your body, your body works hard to fight against it. Blood rushes to your nose and causes a block in it, so you feel terrible because you can’t breathe well, but your body is actually eating the virus. Your temperature goes up and you get a fever, but the heat of your body is killing the virus. You also have a runny (流鼻涕的) nose to stop the virus from getting into your cells (细胞). You may feel very uncomfortable, but actually your wonderful body is doing everything it can to kill the cold. Different people do different things to deal with colds. In the United States, for example, people might have chicken soup to help them get over the cold. In other places, people take medicine to stop different symptoms (症状) of colds. There is one interesting thing to note — some scientists say taking medicine when you have a cold is actually bad for you. The virus stays in you longer because your body doesn’t have a way to fight it and kill it. Bodies can do an amazing job on their own. There is a joke, however, on taking medicine when you have a cold. It goes like this: It takes about one week to get over a cold if you don’t take medicine, but it takes only about seven days to get over a cold if you take medicine. 1.How many examples does the writer give to prove your body works hard to fight against viruses? 2.What’s the function(use) of a runny nose? 3.How long does it usually take to get over a cold? 4.Why can’t we cure a cold quickly according to the passage? 5.What can we usually do to help get over a cold according to the passage? Success is often considered to be the opposite of failure. To teenagers, it is the achievement of a goal. Some schools used to agree with most parents who measured (判定) the success of their children according to grades, but now they pay special attention to moral (道德的) education and character-building. Schools encourage students to take part in different kinds of activities. They can enjoy some forms of success by taking part in activities. For example, those good at speaking skills are advised to take part in speech competitions while those interested in art are expected to perform in front of their classmates. Teenagers are often told that success is not easy to achieve and that success comes from hard work. Another good quality (品质) is a sense of responsibility which makes them remember that a task has to be completed. Sticking to moral value is the key to success, too. Honest teenagers will win the trust of friends leading to good relationships. Self-motivation (自我激励) is another quality to be developed. Self-motivated teenagers prefer performing a task and finally get to enjoy a sense of achievement. 1.What is success to teenagers? 2.What do some schools pay special attention to now? 3.Why are students encouraged to take part in activities? 4.Where does success come from according to Paragraph 3? 5.Who will win the trust of friends according to the passage? Remember to eat your fruits and vegetables. They might just improve your memory. Scientists have found out several kinds of products—including vegetables which have green leaves, orange and red vegetables, are good for memory. Researchers at Harvard University have found that men who insist on eating those fruits and vegetables over a period of 20 years were more likely to have better memory skills than those who seldom eat them. The study followed about 27,800 men in health care jobs over 20 years, and surveyed them on their diets and other health-related topics every four years. Toward the end of the study, the researchers started asking them questions about their memory. For example, “Do you have more trouble than usual remembering a short list of things, such as a shopping list?” or “Do you have more trouble than usual following a group conversation or a story in a TV program because of your memory?” “A growing number of “yes” answers to such questions can mean their memory is going down,” the researchers said. The participants (参与者) were divided into five groups, based on how many servings (分量) of vegetables and fruits they got each day, from six servings in the healthiest group to just two servings. The six-serving eaters were 34 percent less likely to be forgetful. And the results were even better if the men happened to eat carotenoids (类胡萝卜素)—rich vegetables, such as carrots and pumpkins. Besides, those who drank orange juice often were 47 percent less likely to become forgetful, compared with those who drank orange juice less than once a month. “Our studies provide further evidence that diet choices can be important to keep your brain healthy,” researchers said. 1.How long did the researchers follow the participants in the study? 2.According to the study, what vegetables are good for people’s memory? 3.According to the 4th paragraph, what can mean a person’s memory is becoming worse? 4.What do the researchers think the studies can prove? (答案不超过6个单词) A person who writes music is known as a composer. A composer thinks of a musical idea and writes it on paper for others to read. Instead of writing words, a composer uses musical notation (记号). Other people can read the notes and play them. When they do, they’re playing music that came from the composer’s imagination. Beethoven was a famous German composer. He was born in 1770 in Bonn and began learning the piano when he was only four. He also learned to play the violin. Beethoven visited Vienna, which was a very musical city, in 1787. Two other famous composers lived in Vienna at that time. Wolfgang Mozart and Joseph Haydn met Beethoven and gave his music high praise. Beethoven made friends in Vienna and returned there in 1792. He studied music with Haydn and lived in Vienna for the rest of his life. Beethoven was known as a great pianist, but he wanted to compose his own music. He always seemed to have musical ideas in his head. His notebooks show how hard he worked to get the music just right. He often wrote and then revised his music by scratching it out (勾划), so it is possible for us to see how he was thinking about the music. During the late 1790s, Beethoven began to lose his hearing. At first it was difficult for him to hear people and talk with them. Even when he became completely deaf, he did not stop creating music, however. He heard music in his mind even though he couldn’t hear it with his ears. Most people have heard of Beethoven’s Symphony (交响乐) No. 5, but they may not know he wrote it when he was growing deaf. A symphony is a long piece of music for orchestra Symphony No. 5 starts like this: ta-ta-ta-TUM. Beethoven used this pattern over and over in his symphony. Try saying it aloud two times: ta-ta-ta-TUM, ta-ta-ta-TUM. 1.When did Beethoven start learning music? 2.Which city influenced Beethoven most in his musical career? 3.What is Beethoven known as? 4.During the late 1790s, what difficulty did Beethoven face? 5.Why did Beethoven make greater achievements after losing his hearing? Do you know that tennis is one of the most wasteful sports on the planet? Tennis balls are difficult to recycle, and millions of balls end up in landfills Once there, it can take as long as 400 years for the balls to decompose (分解). The International Tennis Federation (ITF) serves as the governing body of professional tennis games. Last year, the ITF brought together ball makers, tennis officials, and recycling companies to solve the tennis ball waste problem. They are trying to find answers to the following questions. Can a recyclable ball be developed? Can the ITF change rules so balls can be used longer in professional tennis games? … Nowadays, professional players need a new set of balls after every nine games. This practice results in great waste. Jamie Capel-Davies, the head of science and tech at the ITF, says that there are four levels in the effort to reduce (减少) waste. “Firstly, we try to reduce the number of balls being used. Secondly, we should use balls as many times as possible. Recycling is our third choice,” he explains. “The last level is to place the balls in landfills.” However, it is not easy to make changes. Luckily, many recyclers have already taken steps to reuse tennis balls. One company collects used tennis balls and turns them into pet toys, while another company reuses tennis balls for a kind of flooring material. (前四题每小题答案不超过8个单词,最后一题字数不限) 1.Is it easy for a tennis ball to decompose? 2.Why did recycling companies join the ITF? 3.When do professional players need a new set of balls? 4.What can tennis balls be reused for? 5.How can we reduce waste in our daily lives? 10.(2025·江苏盐城·一模)After that party, Beth often appeared in Mr. Laurence’s house, coming and going unseen. She lost herself in playing the piano there. She never knew that Mr. Laurence opened his study door to hear the music. She only knew he was kind, and she enjoyed herself heartily. “Mother, I’m going to work Mr. Laurence a pair of slippers. He is so kind to me. Can I do it?” asked Beth, one day. “Yes, my dear. It will be a nice way of thanking him. The girls will help you about them, and I will pay for the making up.” replied Mrs. March. After many serious discussions with Meg and Jo, the work started. Beth worked away early and late, and the slippers were finished soon. Then she wrote a short, simple note, and with Laurie’s help, got them onto the study table one morning before the old gentleman was up. When this excitement was over, Beth waited to see what would happen. On the afternoon of the second day, when she came back home, from a distance, she saw her sisters waving their hands at the windows, and several joyful voices screamed, “Here’s a letter from the old gentleman!” Beth hurried on. At the door her sisters stopped her, all pointing and all saying at once, “Look there! Look there!” Beth did look, and turned pale with delight and surprise, for there stood a little cabinet piano, with a letter lying on the glossy lid, saying, “For Miss Elizabeth March.” “For me?” gasped Beth, holding onto Jo. “Yes, all for you, my precious!” cried Jo, hugging her sister and offering the note. “You read it! I can’t, I feel so excited!” said Beth. Jo opened the paper and began to read: “Miss March, I have had many pairs of slippers in my life, but I never had any that suited me so well as yours. I like to pay my debts, so I know you will allow ‘an old gentleman’ to send you something which once belonged to the little granddaughter he lost. With hearty thanks and best wishes. Your grateful friend, James Laurence.” 1.Why did Mr. Laurence open the study door? 2.Who helped Beth make the slippers? 3.What does the “them” in Paragraph 4 refer to (指代)? 4.How did Beth feel when she got the present? 5.Who did the piano belong to before? 11.(2025·江苏无锡·一模)Agentic AI will make our lives easier The year 2024 was a time of big and rapid progress for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry. So far, generative AI (生成式人工智能) has been mainly limited to creating text, images and videos, but the next step will be about doing, not just creating, said The Wall Street Journal. Agentic AI (代理式人工智能) refers to systems which are able to act on their own, set goals, reason and make decisions without a person’s constant intervention. Ilya Sutskever, co-founder of OpenAI, describes them as an innovative (革新的) step forward, allowing AI to take on complex tasks across various industries. Because they are designed to understand context and your needs, they will be able to order your food or buy those new running shoes. For example, you can buy plane tickets with Google’s new Gemini 2.0. Google DeepMind chief, Demis Hassabis, said last December that 2025 will be the year of AI agents. While traditional systems offer pre-programmed answers, agentic AI learns about your preferences by researching in depth the subjects that interest you. Just tell it what you need so that it can create a “multi-step research plan” for you. Once approved, you will receive a report showing you where to find the information you need. Think about the time you will save by not having to spend hours searching for the perfect deal or reservation. Agentic AI is also set to shine in education. It evaluates students’ strong and weak points, tracks their progress, improves their learning outcomes with adjusted (调整后的) lesson plans and real-time input. However, Sutskever warns that as the system’s reasoning improves, it can also get harder to control, pointing to how advanced chess engines surprise even the most experienced players time and time again. He thinks that in the future AI will learn from limited data to provide reliable information, eventually developing self-awareness. This will come with new challenges and opportunities which are still hard for us to imagine. 1.Agentic AI is limited to creating text, images and videos, isn’t it? 2.What are AI agents designed for? 3.What can we get after telling agentic AI our needs? 4.According to Sutskever, what will AI be like in the future? 5.Would you like to use agentic AI in your study? Why or why not? 12.(2025·江苏苏州·一模)Terrible weather events are harming the planet, and experts warn of even greater results to come. The sea ice loss and the Arctic ice melting (融化) caused by climate change have increased much in the last ten years. So they have pushed down the number of polar bears and seals while polar bears depend on sea ice for hunting seals. According to the data from WMO, temperatures on the Antarctica (南极洲) just hit 18.3℃, which is higher than the record of 17.59℃ in March, 2015. Moreover, temperatures in this area have warmed about 3℃ over the last 50 years. Although such temperatures might be considered pleasant for a picnic or a hiking trip, this is the Antarctica we are talking about. It is home to the most inhospitable (不适宜居住的) environment on the planet because it is supposed to be an extremely cold place. In fact, the average temperature of the continent’s central area is -57℃. Besides, many places are experiencing the extreme weather. Australia is undergoing its worst drought (干旱) since the 1930s, leaving bush fires burning so long and causing many deaths. Meanwhile in Europe, crops in the northwest are suffering the driest weather in the past 80 years. Recently West Texas in America has also gone through its worst drought in more than 70 years, while floods have hit Eastern and Southern China. “Climate change is bad for us human beings, which causes direct health problems. I’m afraid there will be more common events like the one that 30,000 to 50,000 persons died in Europe in 2003 due to the heat wave there,” Professor Schwartz said. “It will also cause more air pollution, diseases and lack of clean water and so on.” 1.What brings down the number of polar bears according to this passage? 2.What forms of extreme weather are mentioned in the passage? 3.Please write another form of extreme weather you know about. What can we do to prevent it? Li Ziqi is here again to share stories. Li Ziqi is back! After a break of more than three years, one of China’s most popular influencers finally returned on November 12th. Li came back with two new videos. One tells how she changed a shed into a cloakroom, and the other shows how she used the intangible cultural heritage of Chinese lacquerware techniques to make wardrobe doors. These videos helped people understand the wisdom of Chinese people and appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture. Fans from around the world were excited about her return. “I’ve missed you and your grandma. So glad you came back, so happy,” wrote one fan on YouTube. “I went to more than 20 provinces and visited over 100 intangible cultural heritage inheritors,” Li told Xinhua about the past three years. She talked with them, studied their skills and learned the stories behind their work. Now, she wants to share their stories with the world through her videos. Why do people still like her so much even though she was away for over three years? “Today, everyone is busy and there’s no time for rest. But she slows down and learns only one thing,” said one fan. According to Southern Weekly, people love Li’s videos because they want to live a simple and slow life. This desire is timeless, just like people’s love for Henry David Thoreau’s book Walden, which also talks about living simply in nature. 1.How long has Li Ziqi been away from the Internet? 2.How did her fans feel about Li Ziqi’s return? 3.What did Li Ziqi do when she visited the intangible cultural heritage inheritors? 4.Why do people love Li’s videos? 5.In your opinion, what can we learn from Li Ziqi? In the new age, many role models have caught people’s attention. So what is DeepSeek? It’s a Chinese AI company set up by a man called Liang Wenfeng on July 17, 2023. The team of researchers have studied in the top universities in China and have no oversea educational background, and most of whom are under 34 years old. They are also very good at math, physics and coding. The company works on AI, especially big models. Think of it like building a super smart brain that can think and solve problems like humans (this is called AGI). On January 20, 2025, DeepSeek made a new AI called DeepSeek-R1. It can help people find information and summarize (总结) it, solve math problems, write code, and answer questions like top models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT-40. This made the whole world completely surprised, because it costs much less to build. It only took the team $5.58 million (1/70 of OpenAI’s cost) and 2,048 computer chips, and two months to create it. This shows that good ideas can beat big money. On its first day online, over 19,000 programmers around the world started projects to study it. Even Meta (a famous U.S. tech company) top scientist said, “This kind of free AI could change the world.” As a DeepSeek engineer said, “We want AI to be a friend, not something only rich people can use.” With R1, China tells the world that great things come from new ideas and hard work, not just money. 1.When was DeepSeek set up? 2.Why were people all over the world surprised after DeepSeek-R1’s birth? 3.Would you like to use DeepSeek-R1? Directed by famous director Zhang Yimou, the show mixed traditional Chinese yangko dance with modern robot technology. During the performance, 16 humanoid robots wearing bright flower-patterned jackets danced the traditional yangko. Wang, a 35-year-old from Ningbo, had an unusual school life. He found English very hard—his grades were often low. But he was excellent at physics. While classmates studied for exams, he spent hours taking apart old electronics. At 19, using cheap parts costing only 200 yuan, he built his first walking robot. This showed his special talent. Later in college, he created XDog, a low-cost four-legged robot that brought him awards and new chances. On his way to success, there were ups and downs. Whenever he and his team members met with lots of difficulties, they never gave up. They made their efforts to solve the problems and made progress. In 2016, he started Unitree Robotics to make robots affordable. By 2025, his H1 humanoid robots (price: 650,000 yuan) became famous after their amazing Spring Festival Gala show. Mixing old Chinese dances with new technology, they surprised everyone and became popular online. At the important China Private Entrepreneurs Forum in February 2025, Wang—the youngest person there—sat with famous business leaders like Ren Zhengfei and Lei Jun. His company, now a top tech “dragon” in Hangzhou, leads the world in four-legged robots. Even though he wasn’t good at all subjects, Wang never gave up on robots. His advice to young people: “Don’t let your weak points stop you. Keep trying!” His story shows you don’t need to be perfect in everything—just focus on what you love. As his robots succeed worldwide, they teach us: the future is built by brave people who keep trying new ideas. 1.Who was the special programme called YangBOT directed by? 2.Which subject was Wang Xingxing good at, English or Physics? 3.How much did it take Wang Xingxing to build his first walking robot? 4.How long has Unitree Robotics been in service? 5.What can we learn from Wang Xingxing? People in the past studied weather by looking at changes in nature. They could know about weather with clouds by reading their sizes, shapes and heights. For example, fish-scale clouds mean that the weather will soon turn bad with rain and wind. Tall clouds like forts mean that storms are ahead. Fun fact: How far is the storm from you? When you see lightning, start counting the number of seconds (秒) between lightning and thunder (雷). For every three seconds, the storm is one kilometer away. The traditional Chinese calendar tells us the secrets of weather, too. It connects the Twenty-four Solar Terms (节气) with the lunar calendar. It tells farmers the best months to plant seeds (种子) and harvest crops. For example, Jingzhe often falls in March in China and it marks the beginning of warm weather with rain and thunder. It is the time when farmers begin to plant seeds in their fields. You may see wind vanes on top of buildings. They’re used to show where the wind is coming from. Ancient Chinese wind vanes often had a bird or a dragon on the top. Nowadays, we have more designs for them. Culture corner: The xiangfengtongwuIt is an ancient Chinese wind vane. 1.They track the sun from east to west, turning their heads towards the sun. 2.Because they both move and respond to the/their environment. 3.At night. 4.Uneven growth in the plant stems. 5. We should face the difficulties bravely and always stay positive like sunflowers. 1.根据第三段“During the day, young sunflower plants track the sun from east to west. (At least 3 ways) 【答案】1.3 2.To stop the virus from getting into your cells. 3.About one week. 4.There are many different cold viruses. 5.We may have chicken soup or take medicine or drink enough water and have a good rest. 【导语】本文解释了为什么难以快速治愈感冒(因为病毒种类多),并说明了人体对抗感冒病毒的自然机制及不同应对方法。 1.根据“Blood rushes to your nose… Your temperature goes up… You also have a runny nose”可知作者列举了3个身体对抗病毒的例子,故填3. 2.根据“a runny nose to stop the virus from getting into your cells”可知流鼻涕的作用是阻止病毒进入细胞,故填To stop the virus from getting into your cells. 3.根据“It takes about one week to get over a cold if you don’t take medicine”可知感冒通常需要一周时间康复,故填About one week. 4.根据“there are actually many different cold viruses… so there isn’t a cure for each one”可知无法快速治愈感冒是因为病毒种类太多,故填There are many different cold viruses. 5.根据“people might have chicken soup… people take medicine”可知对抗感冒的三种方法是喝鸡汤、服药和多喝水并休息(根据全文内容补充),故填We may have chicken soup or take medicine or drink enough water and have a good rest. 6.(2025·江苏淮安·一模)阅读回答问题。 Success is often considered to be the opposite of failure. To teenagers, it is the achievement of a goal. Some schools used to agree with most parents who measured (判定) the success of their children according to grades, but now they pay special attention to moral (道德的) education and character-building. 【答案】1.Over 20 years. 2.Carrots and pumpkins. 3.A growing number of “yes” answers to such questions. 4.The studies provide further evidence that diet choices can be important to keep your brain healthy. 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲述了科学研究发现吃蔬菜和水果的人的记忆力要比不吃的好,倡导人们要多吃蔬菜和水果。 1.根据“The study followed about 27,800 men in health care jobs over 20 years”可知,在这项研究中,研究者跟踪参与者20多年。故填Over 20 years。 2.根据“And the results were even better if the men happened to eat carotenoids (类胡萝卜素)—rich vegetables, such as carrots and pumpkins.”可知,胡萝卜和南瓜这两种蔬菜对人们的记忆有好处。故填Carrots and pumpkins。 3.根据“A growing number of ‘yes’ answers to such questions can mean their memory is going down,”可知,这些问题回答的“yes”多意味着记忆力下降。故填A growing number of “yes” answers to such questions。 4.根据“Our studies provide further evidence that diet choices can be important to keep your brain healthy,”可知,研究为饮食选择对于保持你的头脑健康这一情况提供证据。故填The studies provide further evidence that diet choices can be important to keep your brain healthy。 8.(2025·江苏盐城·一模)阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答问题。(答案不超过6个单词) A person who writes music is known as a composer. A symphony is a long piece of music for orchestra (交响乐团). Symphony No. 【答案】1.When he was only four. 2.Vienna. 3.A great pianist. 4.He began to lose hearing. 5.Because he had a strong will./Because he didn’t stop creating music. 【导语】本文讲了德国作曲家贝多芬的生平及其音乐成就,特别强调了他在失聪后仍继续创作音乐的坚韧精神。 1.根据第二段“He was born in 1770 in Bonn and began learning the piano when he was only four.”可知,贝多芬四岁时开始学音乐。故填When he was only four. 2.根据第二段“He visited Vienna, which was a very musical city, in 1787.”可知,维也纳对贝多芬的音乐生涯影响最大。故填Vienna. 3.根据第三段“Beethoven was known as a great pianist”可知,贝多芬是著名的钢琴家。故填A great pianist. 4.根据第四段“Beethoven began to lose his hearing”可知,贝多芬在1790年代末开始失聪。故填He began to lose his hearing. 5.根据第四段“He heard music in his mind even though he couldn’t hear it with his ears.”可以推断贝多芬即使失聪仍继续创作音乐,是因为他有强大的意志力和不停止创作的决心。故填Because he had a strong will./Because he didn’t stop creating music. 9.(2025·江苏无锡·一模)阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答问题。 Do you know that tennis is one of the most wasteful sports on the planet? Tennis balls are difficult to recycle, and millions of balls end up in landfills (垃圾填埋场). Once there, it can take as long as 400 years for the balls to decompose (分解). 1~4题答案不超过6个单词,第5题词数不限。 1.Agentic AI is limited to creating text, images and videos, isn’t it? 2.What are AI agents designed for? 3.What can we get after telling agentic AI our needs? 4.According to Sutskever, what will AI be like in the future? 5.Would you like to use agentic AI in your study? 【答案】1.Climate change./The sea ice loss and the Arctic ice melting. 2.Droughts and floods. 3.Sandstorms. Weather matters a lot to us. It makes a difference to what we do and what we wear.
