Panda says, "Sorry..."

Sonny is a panda cub. "Hey, less of the 'cub'!" Sonny says with a grin.
In the winter, Sonny's paws get cold in the snow. Sonny and his mummy move further down the mountain and into the valley, where it is a bit warmer.
One day, Sonny is playing a rolling game with his friend Ruby, the red panda. The pair roll down the valley until – BUMP! Sonny rolls right into Ruby and the pair clash heads.
"Ouch!" says Ruby. "That hurt!"
But Sonny is bigger than Ruby and he isn't hurt. He just laughs.
The next day, Sonny asks Ruby, "Shall we go rolling again?"
"No, thank you," says Ruby. "I don't want to play today."
Sonny goes to find his friend Dot, the leopard cat.
"Do you want to come climbing with me, Dot?" he asks.
"Oh yes!" says Dot.
And together the pair climb up trees and over rocks.
They are having a great time until Sonny steps on Dot's tail.
"Ouch!" says Dot.
But Sonny knows it was an accident. He just laughs.
The next day, neither Ruby nor Dot want to play with Sonny. Instead he finds his friend Mo, the golden monkey.
The pair are having a wonderful time playing hide-and-seek until Mo finds such a good hiding place, that Sonny can't find him anywhere! Sonny gives up and goes home for tea.
The following morning, Sonny spots Mo and his family at the river.
Mo is cross. "I waited ages for you to find me," he says. "You could have called out to say you were going home. Instead I waited in the snow and got really cold."
"Oh," says Sonny. And he goes back to find his mummy.
Suddenly, Sonny has no friends to play with. He stands quietly with his mummy, drinking from a cool pool of water.
"What's the matter, Sonny?" asks Mummy, as she tucks into some bamboo.
Sonny explains what happened with his friends.
"Aha," says Mummy. "I think your friends might be a bit upset."
"But why?" says Sonny. "I didn't mean to hurt Ruby, and stepping on Dot's tail was an accident."
"And Mo?"
"Well," Sonny begins, "I was a little bit cross that Mo had found such a good hiding place. So I left him. But I didn't think he would stay there so long…."
Mummy pauses for a moment. Then she says, "There's a special word you can say to make things better, even when you didn't mean to do something. Do you know what that word is?"
Sonny thinks for a moment. "Is it sorry?" he whispers.
Mummy nods. "I think you know what you need to do, Sonny."
Sonny searches the forest to find each of his friends. One by one, he says sorry to them. And he explains why he's sorry – to make sure they know he means it.
The next day, Sonny is snoozing inside a hollow tree trunk when there is a knock on the wood.
"Look who's here, Sonny," says Mummy.
Sonny peers out of the cosy trunk then grins.
All of his friends are there!
"Would you like to play?" they ask.
"Yes, please!" says Sonny.
Sonny is about to go off and play when he notices Mummy's great big smile.
"I'm proud of you, little cub," she says.
Sonny smiles back and says, "Mummy, I'm not little any more, remember!"
But he gives his mummy a good squeeze as they cuddle. Then Sonny follows his friends out into the valley.
Goodbye, Sonny!
