Ⅳ.阅读理解
When you're a child, making friends does not seem to be so hard.
If we're lucky enough, we can make really good friends. When we
grow up, we see them as old friends.
There are many friends in your life—some you lose touch with,
though you don't really want to, some you no longer want to be
friends with. But your old friends, no matter how near or far they are,
are still part of your life.
12
From old friends we learn how much we grow. They know
everything about us,from the greatest moments in life to our smallest
mistakes. They sometimes make us do better.
There is a freedom(自由) that comes with old friends but newer
friendships can sometimes fail to bring. You don't need to make them
understand you because they do, you don't need to change yourself to
make them love you better. And they will go on loving you anyway. The
laughter and the difficult times you spent with each other will become
great memories in your later life.
The true friendships are difficult to build, to make it grow, and
to hold onto. So it is wonderful to have an old friend. Old friends hold
a mirror in front of us and make us see how far we've come, and how
far we still have to go to be the person we can be. They tell us that the
past was both good and bad, and the future is something to look
forward to. No matter how time flies, when we're with them, we
have a feeling of home—a place where. .we can be stupid with people
who love us.
1.Why is it good to have old friends?( )
A. Because they know your past.
B. Because they are proud of you.
C. Because they remember your mistakes.
D. Because they always understand you.
√

2.What can we know from the text?( )
A. It's easy to build and hold onto true friendships.
B. Not everyone is lucky enough to have old friends.
C. Real old friends make our life always stay the same.
D. Old friends can give us a warm home to live in.
√
3.What does the underlined sentence “we can be stupid with people who
love us” mean?( )
A. Our old friends like us to be stupid all the time.
B. Our old friends have a lot of good memories with us.
C. We hope we are together with our friends when we are stupid.
D. Our friends like us the way we are so we feel free to be ourselves.
