From friendships to work stress, more Chinese people are now using AI tools like DeepSeek to talk about their problems. They share feelings with the chatbot (聊天机器人) and get warm advice. This is called "AI therapy", which is becoming popular online. But can robots really replace human therapists?
Around the world, 45 percent of people who needed mental health care in 2024 did not get it because it was too expensive or there weren't enough doctors, according to Huntington Psychological Services. Daniel Lowd, a professor at the University of Oregon, believes AI could help fill this gap. "If people can find some support and ideas by talking to ChatGPT or chatbot Claude, then I think that’s wonderful,"Lowd told Newsweek. Li Yong, a doctor at the Jiangsu Province Hospital, agreed with Lowd, saying that AI meets people’s needs for emotional (情绪上的) support to a point.
However, AI has its limits. Human therapists understand feelings deeply through face-to-face talks and create personalized(个性化)treatment plans-something robots can't fully copy. Another problem is safety. AI might act like a therapist without proper training or rules. It can’t be as responsible as human therapists.
Experts believe the key to safe AI therapy is strict government control. For example, Wysa, an AI mental health app, follows strict medical standards in the UK.As AI becomes part of daily life, finding a balance between its benefits(受益)and risks is important. While AI offers quick help, human connection remains irreplaceable (不可替代) for serious emotional needs.
24. What does the phrase "fill this gap" in paragraph 2 mean?
A. Make AI tools cheaper to use. B. Train more mental health workers.
C. Solve the problem mentioned above. D. Provide therapists with great help.
25. What is Paragraph 3 mainly about?
A. Why AI therapy is good. B. The problems with AI therapy.
C. How AI works in hospitals. D. Rules to manage AI therapy.
26. What's the main purpose of the passage?
A. To encourage people to use AI therapy. B. To show the disadvantages of AI therapy.
C. To compare AI therapy with human therapy.
D. To introduce the rise and challenges of AI therapy.

Li Yuexian, a college student, is having an interview with Shen Yizheng, who has been a planning editor (策划编辑) at a book publishing company in Beijing for years.
Li: What do you do as a planning editor?
Shen: I have to take care of every step in the publishing process. I need to know about the book market and find authors around the world. Then, I will reach out to the authors. We discuss what to write and who the target audience (目标读者) is to make sure that the book can sell well.
As the first dratt (初稿) is prepared, my team and I will check it many times to make sure there are no mistakes. Then it’s time for me to work with the designers and my bosses to decide the cover, price and name of the book. That can take a while because everyone has different ideas!
After that, I will spend my time on printing. What kind of paper should be used? Have the colors been printed out correctly? I sometimes have to go to the printing factories to check these things.
Li: What do you think is the most important part of your job?
Shen: I carry the hopes of a lot of people, like the author, the readers and my boss. I always have to keep calm and be strict. To improve my understanding of the text and the market, I need to read books and news all the time.
"What book can become the bestseller"seems like a question of luck all the time. Even the most experienced editor can get it wrong. Always be true to good content (内容)-that’s the only way you can make a good book.

A. The book content. B. The bestseller question.
C. The book price. D. The author's hope.
30. What can we know about Shen from the passage?
A. She cares about helping society. B. She's strict with the readers.
