Ⅰ. 完形填空
Nowadays,
more
and
more
people
like
to
travel
in
their
holidays.
I
have
read
a
report
about
the
1
people
spend
their
holidays.
It
is
reported
that
in
recent
years,
several
new
holiday
habits
have
2 .
Among
them,
the
most
3
one
is
the
growth
of
holiday
camps.
From
the
report
we
can
see
that,
in
1990,
forty
percent
of
people
stayed
at
home
for
their
holidays.
However,
now
the
percentage
has
4
to
nine
percent.
More
people
go
out
for
fun.
People
enjoy
the
5 air,
clean
water
and
green
hills
when
they
go
camping
in
places
far
from
the
city.
In
1990,
thirty-eight
percent
of
people
6
going
to
the
seaside.
However,
in
2002,
7
twenty-
seven
percent
were
interested
in
going
there.
What
great
8 !
Why
have
those
changes
9 ?
I
think
there
are
several
reasons.
First,
its
because
people
can
afford
to
travel.
Second,
people
prefer
to
live
a
high-quality
and
colorful
life.
Third,
peoples
attitudes(态度)
to
relaxation
have
10
changed.
Fewer
and
fewer
people
want
to
save
much
money
by
living
a
simple
life.

When
I
first
traveled
to
China,
I
picked
one
of
the
countrys
natural
treasures:
Tiger
Leaping
Gorge
(虎跳峡)
in
Yunnan
Province.
To
discover
its
real
beauty,
I
decided
to
hike
in
the
gorge.
The
hike
was
tiring.
However,
it
was
one
of
the
most
unforgettable
trips
ever.
The
first
part
of
my
hike
was
to
run
through
green
wheat
fields.
At
this
point,
it
was
easy
to
enjoy
the
view
and
take
photos.
Then,
I
reached
perhaps
the
hardest
part
of
the
hike.
It
was
called
“the
Twenty-eight
Bends(拐)”.
There
was
no
need
to
be
afraid,
though.
Several
local
villagers
were
waiting
by
the
side
of
the
road
with
their
donkeys(驴).
Anytime
a
hiker
needed
a
ride,
he
or
she
could
hand
over
a
few
coins.
After
these
bends,
the
hike
became
easier.
Most
people
ended
their
first-day
hike
at
a
halfway
hotel
in
the
early
evening,
just
in
time
for
a
beautiful
sunset.
The
second
day
was
less
tiring.
I
walked
slowly
across
a
bamboo
forest
that
led
to
a
small
riverside.
There
were
many
streams.
A
waterfall
was
flowing
directly
over
the
road.
In
the
early
afternoon,
I
reached
the
end
of
the
hike.
Tiger
Leaping
Gorge
is
really
worth
a
trip!
1. Why
did
the
writer
hike
in
the
gorge?
A. He
regarded
it
as
a
natural
treasure.
B. He
hoped
to
discover
the
real
beauty.
C. He
was
interested
in
“Twenty-eight
Bends”.
D. He
could
enjoy
the
sunset
in
the
gorge.
2. Why
were
some
villagers
waiting
by
the
side
of
the
road?
A. To
help
take
pictures
of
hikers
for
free.
B. To
make
money
by
offering
hikers
a
ride.
C. To
introduce
the
history
of
the
bends
to
hikers.
D. To
warn
hikers
that
the
part
was
very
dangerous.

For
years,
it
has
been
said
that
newspapers
are
slowly
dying.
Why
is
the
situation
so
terrible
for
newspapers?
Newspapers
have
a
long
history.
The
first
newspaper
was
printed
in
the
1600s.
Their
most
successful
period
was
in
the
early
20th
century.
With
the
appearance
of
radios
and
TVs,
however,
the
circulation
(发行量)
of
newspapers
began
to
fall.
By
the
mid-20th
century,
radios
and
TVs
had
become
so
popular
that
people
no
longer
had
to
depend
on
newspapers
for
news.
Afternoon
newspapers
were
the
first
to
suffer
(受损害).
After
work,
more
and
more
people
turned
on
TV
instead
of
opening
a
newspaper.
That
was
because
TVs
could
provide
news
happening
a
short
time
ago.
Newspapers
suffered
another
heavier
blow
(打
击)
in
the
1990s.
With
the
appearance
of
the
Internet,
lots
of
information
became
free.
Many
newspaper
readers
realized
that
they
could
read
news
on
the
Internet.
So
what
will
happen
in
the
future?
Will
newspapers
die?
Maybe
not.
Many
newspapers
are
now
making
changes.
Some
of
them
are
going
digital
(数字的),
while
some
are
using
new
technologies.
After
all,
people
still
want
the
news.
Newspapers
are
still
an
important
source

of
in-depth
news,
analysis
(分析)
and
opinions.

Lets
do

actively
Good
morning,
everyone!
Its
my
honor
to
give
you
a
speech
today.
My
topic
is
“Lets
do
housework
actively”.
As
we
all
know,
its
important
to
help
parents
do
housework
during
our
daily
life.
I
often
do
housework
such
as
watering
flowers,
doing
the
dishes
and
walking
the
dog.
By
doing
housework,
we
not
only
help
our
parents
relax,
but
also
learn
life
skills.
First
of
all,
our
parents
must
be
very
tired
after
work.
If
we
help
them
with
the
housework,
theyll
feel
happy
and
be
proud
of
us.
Then
doing
housework
can
improve
our
independence.
The
earlier
we
learn
to
be
independent,
the
better
it
is
for
our
future.
Dear
friends,
its
meaningful
and
necessary
to
do
housework.
Lets
start
now.
Thanks
for
your
listening.

The
Lantern
Festival
The
Lantern
Festival
is
one
of
my
favorite
traditional
Chinese
festivals.
It
falls
on
lunar
January
15th,marking
the
end
of
the
Spring
Festival.
People
often
celebrate
the
festival
in
many
ways.
On
the
night
of
that
day,various
of
lanterns
are
hung
in
the
streets
and
parks.
People
walk
around
and
enjoy
different
lanterns.
People
also
play
the
lantern
riddle
games.
If
someone
gets
the
right
answer, he
or
she
will
get
a
gift.
Besides, the
dragon
lantern
dance
is
a
traditional
folk
program.
At
the
same
time,
people
usually
eat
tangyuan
for
good
luck.
Maybe
you
have
something
more
interesting
about
the
festival.
Lets
share
it,
and
lets
enjoy
and
spread
our
Chinese
culture.

Growing
Up
Growing
up
is
meaningful
to
teenagers.
In
my
opinion,
I
grow
up
in
changes.
The
biggest
change
Ive
ever
made
is
that
I
am
not
afraid
of
speaking
to
others
any
more.
I
used
to
be
shy
when
I
entered
middle
school.
It
lasted
for
one
year
until
I
read
the
saying
“ Its
never
too
late
to
change”
in
my
English
book.
I
realized
it
was
time
to
change,
so
I
began
to
communicate
more
with
others
and
tried
to
speak
louder
when
answering
questions
in
class.
Now
my
life
is
much
more
meaningful
and
colorful.
I
should
be
brave
to
improve
myself
when
growing
up.
