following are several persons' experiences!

Last summer I went to Tibet with my family. We were in a very
wild area high up in the Himalayas. It was a walking holiday, so we
walked and climbed every day—sometimes up to over 4,000 meters! It's
really beautiful in summer, but in winter it's very dangerous because
there's a lot of snow.

My uncle Alex went on a holiday to South America
last year. He traveled by boat through the rainforest of
Brazil. He went there in January, so it was really hot, but
there wasn't too much rain because it was the dry season. He saw some really colorful birds and monkeys too. He didn't see any dangerous animals though. He paid a visit to local people and they still live a traditional life in the forest. I'd love to go there one day!

I live in a town in New Zealand, near the Abel
Tasman National Park. The park is named after Abel
Tasman, one of the first Europeans to reach New
Zealand. It's a great place. There are forests where you can walk and camp. I swam in the sea last week and it was really warm. Winter isn't very cold and summer isn't too hot. There are a lot of earthquakes in New Zealand, but they aren't usually very bad in this area.

Ⅱ.任务型阅读理解(2024《例析与指导》试卷示例三)
The Magnificent Maldives
The Maldives are a group of very small islands
in the Indian Ocean, near Sri Lanka. It has the smallest
population of any Asian country. There are about 1,200
islands and there are people living on 200 of them.
About 560,000 people live in the Maldives and about 240,000 of them are
on the capital island, Malé. Malé is different from other islands in the
Maldives, because it doesn't have any beaches. In fact, there is a wall that
10
goes around the whole island.
Eighty-seven of the islands in the Maldives have different types of
hotels on them. So tourists can go and enjoy their vacation. They can
even stay in a small cabin right over the water, like the one in the picture.
It is very easy to get around the islands. When you arrive on the
airport island, you can take a dhoni and go to Malé. This is a small
boat used for taking people from island to island. Dhoni taxis go from
the airport island to the capital island every 15 minutes and after midnight
every half hour. You can use these boats to visit other islands, too.
The Maldives are a popular place for scuba diving, because there are
many wonderful fish in the water to see. Also, the water is very clear so
when you are underwater you can see for more than 165 feet. That's
about 50.3 meters. There are many professional diving schools with
instructors. They speak many languages so you can find someone to help
you. Of course, that's not all you can do on these beautiful islands. You
can go whale and dolphin watching, fishing, surfing, snorkeling, hiking or
explore the towns.

Growth makes our life full of meaning.
Looking back on the three years of junior high school, I have
experienced many changes in my study, thoughts, personality, life and
so on. The biggest personal change I've ever made is that I have fallen in love with reading.
When I was a child, I didn't enjoy books at all. Later, my mother always read stories for me and bought me books. Gradually, I began to love reading. While reading, I feel like talking with a wise man. Reading is also a fantastic way to enjoy my free time. Books are my friends. And they will benefit me a lot.
