And today forensic scientists using DNA testing can identify a person with as few as twenty skin cells, revolutionizing police work. However, science has not stopped there. Read the following information to see some exciting new forensic frontiers in DNA technology. DNA, A tiny molecule found in almost every part of a person's body, contains a code that gives the body instructions that tell cells how to grow. Except for the DNA of identical twins, every person's DNA is unique because each person's DNA is different. IT is a valuable tool for identifying someone. For several years, police have been using DNA to identify victims of crimes and to determine who may have committed them. Scientists have also developed a sophisticated new technique called DNA theano typing. This technique can determine a person's I colour their natural hair, colour the possible shapes of their facial features and where their ancestors came from. With this information, they can create a picture of a three d model of what a person might look like. However, DNA fino typing cannot determine a person's age, wait, or whether they have a beard or died hair, because this technique can only provide clues as to a person's attributes. IT cannot really be used to identify criminals. However, IT can help police eliminate suspects. There is little doubt, however, that in the future, DNA fino typing will continue to improve and IT shall become an even more important tool for police investigations. Such advances are going to transform detective work in the years to come.
