1.—What did he do when the bell rang?
—He stopped ________ and ________ the phone.
A.read; answer B.reading; answer C.reading; answered D.read; answering
2.There ________ an English corner tomorrow.
A.will be B.shall be C.is going to have D.will have
【答案】A
根据时间状语“tomorrow”可知,句子时态应用一般将来时,there be句型的一般将来时结构是“there will be”或“there is/are going to be”。故选A。
3.I could tell from her expression that ________ had happened.
A.something serious B.serious something
C.anything serious D.serious anything
【答案】A
故选A。
4.If we work hard,________ is impossible.
A.nothing B.something C.anything D.everything
【答案】A
故选A。
5.We will celebrate ________ birthday of our Party this year.
A.the hundred B.the hundredth C.hundred D.hundredth

—________
A.When were you like this?
B.What’s the problem with you?
C.How long have you been like this?
D.Why do you feel like this?
A选项“When were you like this?”(你像这样是什么时候开始的?)
B选项“What’s the problem with you?”(你怎么了?)
C选项“How long have you been like this?”(你像这样有多久了?)
D选项“Why do you feel like this?”(你为什么会有这种感觉?)

—___________.
A.My pleasure
B.That’s OK
C.You’re welcome
D.Don’t mention it
【答案】A、B、C、D
时,你可以选择A选项“My pleasure”、B选项“That’s OK”、C选项“You’re welcome”或D选项“Don’t mention it”作为回应。

A.Thank you for your attention.
B.I apologize for the inconvenience.
C.I am sorry to hear that.
D.We will take immediate action to improve.
C选项“I am sorry to hear that.”(很抱歉听到这个消息)表示了对顾客遭遇的理解和同情。
23.— Which of the following expressions is appropriate when someone says to you, "It's getting a bit warm. Do you mind if I open the window?"
— ________. I was just thinking the same thing.
A. Of course I do mind.
B. Yes, please refrain from doing so.
C. Not in the least.
D. Absolutely not, go ahead.
A选项:“Of course I do mind.”(我当然介意。) 然而,根据答句“I was just thinking the same thing.”(我也正这么想,即同意开窗),这个回应显然是不合适的。
B选项:“Yes, please refrain from doing so.”(是的,请不要这样做。)
C选项:“Not in the least.”(一点也不。)
D选项:“Absolutely not, go ahead.”(当然不,请便。)
