例文
Now, many students often surf the Internet for answers to their homework. That’s because they have too much homework to do. And some of the problems are too difficult to solve. So they ask the Internet for help.
There are advantages of searching for answers on the Internet. It’s easy to find correct answers on the Internet, so it saves students lots of time. However, it also has some disadvantages. If students always get answers from the Internet, they may never want to solve problems by themselves anymore and be not interested in their study.
I think students should finish homework by themselves. They can also ask their teachers for help.

Jim’s grandpa had a beautiful garden. He knew everything about gardening. Every weekend, Jim got his hands dirty in the soil with Grandpa. Best of all, he loved seeing the daffodils (水仙花).
One Saturday, Jim was helping Grandpa in the garden.“Will we plant daffodils this year?” asked Jim.
“Yes, but give it a few more days,” said Grandpa, handing Jim a gardening fork. “We need to get the weeds (杂草) out first.”
“Why do you like planting daffodils?” asked Jim.
“For Grandma,” said Grandpa. “On the day we first met, I gave her a bunch of daffodils. Seeing the sweet smile on her face, I promised her to plant daffodils every year.”
“Wow! I can’t wait to plant daffodils,” said Jim.
A few days later, Grandpa got a terrible headache and was sent to hospital. He needed to have an operation (手术).
The following Sunday, Jim sat in the garden, unhappy and concerned. Grandma came to him. “Jim, you can do some gardening if you like,” she said.
“But I know nothing about gardening without his help,” said Jim.
“He isn’t here but he surely has taught you something, hasn’t he?” said Grandma. “I guess he has really taught me a lot,” said Jim.
Jim thought about how happy Grandpa would be when he came back and saw the daffodils. He put on his rubber boots and spent the whole day tidying, digging, planting and watering.
When spring came, all the daffodils opened and Grandpa returned home. “You wonderful boy,” said Grandpa.
“Grandma and I are proud of you.”
“I remember everything you’ve taught me.” said Jim.“Grandpa, you and Grandma are good teachers!”

Think about how much time you spent outside last week. Really“outside”. Walking from the car into the mall doesn’t count.
Now think about how much time you spent indoors—on the Internet or playing video games or watching TV.
You may say, “I play inside more than outside and I like to play games on the computer.”
If so, it’s likely that you spent more time inside four walls than outside in fresh air. Kids today spend two fewer hours per week on sports and outdoor activities than kids did 20 years ago. That’s according to a University of Michigan study. Non-moving activities are more popular. The costs “include overweight, greater stress (压力), higher possibility of physical and emotional (情绪上的) illness and less joy…,” says Richard Louv, writer of Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder.
Playing is important, even for adults (成人). Just getting outdoors does wonders.
Outdoor activity betters your senses. The next time you sit down to message your friends, take note of your senses during and after your texting. Then do the same experiment after you’ve done something outside. You will find being outdoors brings the senses to life. “Hiking, exploring, and fishing help hone all of your senses,” says Betsy Keller. She’s a professor of exercise and sports sciences at Ithaca College in New York. “Smell, sight... all of your senses are in use when you’re outside.”
Outdoor play frees your mind. Are you stressed out? Having trouble putting your mind to what you’re doing? Too much time indoors, away from the natural world, may be a cause (起因). Louv uses a term to describe the set of problems caused by too much time indoors: nature-deficit disorder. He says, “I use it to describe the price we pay for being away from nature.”
Spending time outdoors brings you closer to the environment. When you’re out, breathe in fresh air, hear the leaves crackle’(噼啪作响) underfoot and search for cool birds and plants in the woods. It can help you feel more connected (有联系的) to the natural world. No woods nearby? Nature can be found right outside your back door or in your local park.
So the next time you sit down to spend time with a video game, think about treating yourself to a little outdoor play instead.
59.What can we learn from the passage?
A.Playing outside is more important for kids than adults.
B.Kids spend more time outdoors now than twenty years ago.
C.Being so close to nature is the cause of nature-deficit disorder.
D.Non-moving activities bring problems for both mind and body.
60.What does the word “hone” in Paragraph 6 most probably mean?
A.Protect. B.Improve. C.Share. D.Record.
61.What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this passage?
A.To discuss how to get closer to nature.
B.To explain why people like to play indoors.
C.To encourage people to spend time outdoors.
D.To introduce different kinds of outdoor activities.
C
The Ministry of Education recently set up a new curriculum standard (课程标准) for labor (劳动) education. The standard has three types of tasks: everyday chores, including cleaning, organizing, cooking, etc; different and helpful labor, including making traditional handicrafts; and service, including voluntary work.
Primary school students in first and second grades need to do basic cleaning, wash vegetables and peel fruit, and learn to raise one or two kinds of plants or small animals. Third and fourth graders should clean their classrooms, wash their socks and shoes, and know how to make cold dishes. Fifth and sixth graders should have the skills of cooking two or three common dishes. For middle school students, they are asked to cook three or four dishes by themselves, learn how to make one or two kinds of traditional handicrafts, and experience new technologies, modern service or voluntary work.
Schools should use different ways to help parents realize the importance of labor education and help them make household lists to improve students’ abilities.
The curriculum has been widely discussed on social media (社交媒体) and become the top topic on the Internet. Many people think it is necessary to teach young students basic skills. Some have regretted (懊悔) not learning such skills during their school days. However, some think such forms of family education harm the development of children by taking away opportunities to experience life, develop necessary skills and become independent people.
62.This chart shows what students should do step by step. Which of the following is the missing part?
A.Know how to make cold dishes. B.Cook two or three common dishes.
C.Raise one or two kinds of small animals. D.Learn how to make traditional handicrafts.
63.What does the underlined word “them” in the third paragraph refer to (指的是)?
A.Schools. B.Students. C.Teachers. D.Parents.
64.Why did the writer write the last paragraph?
A.To show people’s ideas on the curriculum. B.To tell parents what they should do next.
C.To let students choose what course to learn. D.To introduce the new curriculum standard.
65.Where can you read the passage?
A.In a storybook. B.In a guidebook.
C.In an education magazine. D.In a cooking newspaper.
D
Masa walked slowly towards the house, stopping now and then to cut off dead leaves.
There were few weeds. Yuki had spent many hours of her two-week visit weeding in the garden. Masa wondered if Yuki had spent so much of her time outside just because she wanted to avoid (避免) talking to her.
“But Yuki must have wanted very much to see us,” Masa told herself. She had visited in the last weeks of June, as soon as her college was out for the summer.
She said she wanted to stay longer but couldn’t because she had to work. Besides, she needed to use the studio at her college for photography and she had to go to the library to read.
“Why do you have to go to college to study art?” Masa asked her. “All the great artists didn’t go to college.” Yuki shook her head. “That was a different time. It’s hard to explain.”
“I was thinking you could live with us all year round and still be an artist. This is a nice quiet place to live.”
“I don’t know. How would I support myself here?” “You can always give lessons,” Masa said. “But I don’t want to spend along time looking at kids’ drawings.”
“What will you do after you graduate, anyway? Will you become a teacher somewhere else then?” “Grandma, I don’tknow,” Yuki sighed.
“What is the use of going to college if you don’t know what you’re going there for?”
“Maybe I’m going because I don’t know. I just want to study art now. I don’t want to think that far ahead (提前).”
The minute Masa was going to point out that this was too careless away to live, Yuki suddenly stood up and put on her straw hat.
“I’m going to the garden to weed your flowerbed,” she said. “Let me know if there’s something else I can do.”
On Yuki’s visit, Masa felt strained when they talked, and she was sure Yuki also felt it. But Yuki was never rude or irritable. Even when they disagreed, her face was always full of patience.
66.According to the passage, Yuki was ________.
A.an artist B.a gardener C.an art teacher D.a college student
67.From the underlined sentence, we can infer that Yuki wanted to ________.
A.weed the flowerbed B.end the conversation C.leave Masa’s garden D.take some photos
68.It can be learnt from the passage that ________.
A.Yuki studied art because she wanted to be a teacher
B.Masa wasn’t happy with Yuki’s work in the garden
C.Masa and Yuki agreed on living together all year round
D.Masa and Yuki had very different ideas about college
69.The underlined word “strained” in the last paragraph probably shows Masa felt something ________.
A.uncomfortable B.unforgettable C.thankful D.hopeful
70.Which of the following can best describe Yuki?
A.Shy but friendly. B.Hard-working and polite.
C.Impatient but smart. D.Calm and confident.
第二节 阅读表达(共5题;每题2分,共10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Travel used to be about sightseeing, but now it is about experiences. Nowadays, there are a lot of new ways to travel. They can bring people special experiences.
“Military-style (特种兵式) travel” is one of the most popular travel ways among Chinese college students. They spend a little money traveling to as many places as they can, without having enough rest or sleep. For example, a young man called Nan Duoduo climbed the five most famous mountains in China within only five days.
“Reverse (反向的) travel” is a new fashion among young Chinese travelers. “Man moves 1 meter every 10 minutes on Huangshan Mountain” became a hot topic on the Internet during this year’s National Day holiday. More and more people don’t want to go to those famous places on holiday because they are too crowded. They like to spend their free time in less popular places to make themselves relaxed.
“Seal (印章)-collecting travel” means tourists collect seals while traveling. It’s really special and meaningful. People usually collect seals from places of interest, shops, and other places. Every time you open your collection, it brings back beautiful moments.
Winter vacation is coming soon. Do you have any travel plans? Choose your favourite way to travel with your family!

B
【答案】59.D 60.B 61.C

60.词义猜测题。根据“You will find being outdoors brings the senses to life. ‘Hiking, exploring, and fishing help hone all of your senses’”可知,徒步旅行、探险和钓鱼有助于磨练你的所有感官,故此处划线部分和improve意义相近。故选B。

66.细节理解题。根据“She had visited in the last weeks of June, as soon as her college was out for the summer.”可知,Yuki是一名大学生。故选D。
67.推理判断题。上文讲Masa和Yuki对于上大学的看法有很大不同,结合“The minute Masa was going to point out that this was too careless away to live, Yuki suddenly stood up and put on her straw hat.”
根据“On Yuki’s visit, Masa felt strained when they talked, and she was sure Yuki also felt it.”以及上文可知,两人的对话出现了争议,Masa和Yuki的感觉一样是不好的,所以划线部分的含义是“紧张的;不自然的”,A项符合。故选A。
70.推理判断题。根据“There were few weeds. Yuki had spent many hours of her two-week visit weeding in the garden.”可推知,Yuki是一个勤奋的人;根据“But Yuki was never rude or irritable. Even when they disagreed, her face was always full of patience.”可推知,Yuki是一个有礼貌的人。故选B。

3/ Three ways./ Three ways of travel./ There are 3 ways.
72.根据“ ‘Military-style (特种兵式) travel’ is one of the most popular travel ways among Chinese college students. They spend a little money traveling to as many places as they can”可知,特种兵式旅游费用低。故填No./ No, it doesn’t.
73.根据“More and more people don’t want to go to those famous places on holiday because they are too crowded. They like to spend their free time in less popular places to make themselves relaxed.”可知,反向旅游的游客会选择不那么出名的旅游地。故填Less popular places./ Less famous places.
74.根据“‘Seal (印章)-collecting travel’ means tourists collect seals while traveling.”可知,如果瑶瑶非常喜欢印章,集印章旅行对她来说可能是很好的选择。故填Seal-collecting travel.

【答案】例文
