I
know
(that) they are friendly.
He said that he was tired.
I think that she is right.
We believe that we can fly.
He knows that his friends are friendly.
I hope that you can come tomorrow.
The king wondered whether the crown was real.
① 混淆if和whether
I don’t know if / whether we should go there.
I don’t know whether we should go there or not.
I am thinking about whether we should go there.
He doesn’t know whether to stay or to leave.
② 混淆疑问词what和how
what侧重于对具体内容的提问,在从句中通常充当主语、宾语或表语;
He wonders what to repair. ( √ )
He wonders how to repair. ( × )
He wonders how to repair the computer. ( √ )
其中what’s wrong或what’s the matter作从句时,语序不需要调整。
如:I understand what’s the matter with him. ( √ )
I understand what the matter is with him. ( × )
He understands why they get up early. ( √ )
They don’t know where she is. ( √ )
Do you know where is she? ( × )
Do you know where she is? ( √ )
Can you tell me where they will go?
Can you tell me what they are doing now?
He didn’t know whether they would fly to Beijing tomorrow.
He didn’t know what they were doing.
He knew that the Earth goes around the Sun.
Yesterday the teacher told us that the Sun rises from the east.
There are some moments in my life which are very unforgettable.
关系代词(如that, which, who, whom, whose)在从句中作主语、宾语或定语;
This is the factory which I visited last year.
This is the factory where I worked last year.
(先行词the factory代入从句中,可判断应为work in the factory,但本句缺少介词in,所以用关系副词where作地点状语)
This is the factory in which I worked last year.
(先行词the factory代入从句中,可判断应为work in the factory,本句已经有介词in,所以用关系代词which作宾语)
① 当先行词含最高级、序数词、不定代词时;
② 当先行词即有人又有物时;
③ 当先行词有the one, the very, the only, the same等修饰词时。
如:Is there anything that I can do?
This is the only film that he loves.
① 当先行词有指示代词(that, this, these, those)修饰时;
I know that factory which we visited.
The factory in which we worked is modern.

do with常与连接代词what连用,deal with常与关系副词how连用,所以可以用“疑问词+动词不定式”来翻译,即what to do with或how to deal with。故填what to do with/how to deal with。

how to deal with“如何处理”。故填how;to;deal;with。
故填If;will;know;works。
故填how;to;catch。
故填if/whether;she;could;understand。
if/whether“是否”,can“能”,people“人们”,“得到锻炼”可以表达成get exercise/take excercise/do exercise。 故填if/whether;people;can;get/take/do。
故填when;she;will;have。
