Have you ever heard of this? It has long been believed that dieting is actually damaging to your health. So, instead of dieting, try some of this advice to set you on your way to both a healthier lifestyle and a healthier body weight. If your body is longing for something, you are probably short of a specific nutrient. The key is to understand what nutrient that is. For example, If you want cookies, you might need more fiber, so consider having a piece of fruit instead. Contrary to what your mother told you while you were growing up, you don’t have to clean your plate of food at the dinner table! Stopping just before you are full can help you feel less heavy. Including healthy foods like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables in your diet can help you get rid of the pounds, actually. For example, the wheat bread will give you more nutrients than the white bread, thus making you feel more filled up. However, whole grain bread tends to be more filling than wheat bread due to its higher fiber content.
