1.句①中的walk和句③中的carry为______动词,可以用于______时态。
2.句②中的arrive和句④中的cost为______动词,不用于______时态。
3.句⑤、句⑥中的think既可为动作动词,也可为______动词,作动作动词时,表示______的语气。
1.动作动词可用于进行时态,而状态动词却不可,这是这两种动词最根本的区别。
►John is writing to his father.
约翰正在给他的父亲写信。
►John resembles his father.
约翰长得像他的父亲。
有些动词一种意义是状态动词,用于另一种意义时则是动作动词,应予以区别。
►The top leaders of the two countries are holding talks in a friendly atmosphere.
这两个国家的最高领导人正在友好的氛围中进行会谈。(这里hold作“举行”讲,是动作动词)
►The concert hall can hold 2,000 people.
这个音乐厅可容纳2 000人。(这里hold作“容纳”讲,是状态动词)
►He is having dinner.他正在吃饭。(这里have是动作动词,表示“吃”,并不表达“有”的意思。)
►She was feeling in her pocket for some money.
她在口袋里摸索,想找到些钱。(这里feel是动作动词,表示“摸”的意思)。
