When Yasin was seven, his family moved from Iraq(伊拉克)to England. Yasin's father

Although Yasin was unhappy about leaving their motherland, he quickly got used to
his new life in London. The city amazed him with its tall buildings, museums, and the
Thames with old bridges over it. Yasin made friends with his neighbor, Andrew. They spent
the summer playing in the park and sharing toys and comics(连环漫画册). His English
improved with Andrew's help, though he still had trouble with many words and sometimes
couldn't speak as well as he wanted.
September came soon. It was time for Yasin to go to school. Yasin was nervous, but
Andrew told him that the school would be a fun place to make new friends and learn
interesting things. Yasin felt better because he trusted his friend.
However, when Yasin arrived at the school, things didn't go as he had imagined. After
the teacher introduced him to the class, some children laughed at him, making fun of him
for being a foreigner and not speaking English well. Yasin felt sad and lonely.
The next day, when the children laughed at Yasin again, Andrew appeared. _▲_ He
reminded the others that people are all different and that that is what makes life interesting.

Do you know what a team needs most? If people on your team are not good at
communication, you may often feel terrible. To create a successful team, good
communication is the most necessary for both the team members and the leader. Here are
some helpful suggestions.
➊Don't criticize(批评) other people.
When someone on your team does something wrong, don't criticize them. You can
help them to find the reasons and then help them to solve the problem. Criticizing your
team members too often may make them want to keep away from you. As a result, you may
feel lonely.
➋Listen to other people actively and think about their ideas carefully.
When someone tells you about their ideas, you should listen to them actively and think
about their ideas carefully, no matter how silly they may seem. This shows you are
interested in their ideas and makes them feel good. If you are unclear about something, you
should ask them about it. By doing this you can clear up any confusion(困惑) before
moving on.
➌Share your own ideas with other people.
When you have a new idea, talk about it with your team members. This helps to make
the idea better. Besides, it also helps to make your relationships with your team members
better.
➍Create an environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their thoughts
and opinions without fear.
This builds trust, leading to a more harmonious(和谐的) team. By the way, regular
(定期的) team meetings should be held to discuss something important and necessary.
62.How does the writer start the text?
A.By telling a story. B.By showing a saying.
C.By asking a question. D.By explaining an idea.
63.What is the writer's advice if someone shares their ideas with you?

Everyone has a better self in their hearts. But for many people, it is hard for them to
make a change for that, especially a big one. Once we fail in that, we are less likely to do
well in the future. Success begets(产生) success, and failure repeats itself. But by taking
small steps, we all can be a better one. Here are three practical examples.
Tidying your house. No matter how large or small a house you have, you may often
delay the “spring clean” again and again until the summer comes. A big clean is seldom
enjoyable, but you can tell yourself, “Today, I will clean the bedroom, and nothing more.”
or, “I will clean the chairs this morning, and the tables this afternoon.” It will probably
take you longer, but it gets done.
Sporting achievement. To many people around the world, running a marathon(马拉
松) is usually something impossible. But anything is simply one small step after another.
Those great runners often repeat, “Just to the top of that hill,” or, “Just one more mile,”
over and over — until one mile becomes 26.2 miles.
Changing your character(性格). There's a lot of truth in the power of habit. When
we do a thing over and over, our brains will form a fixed mindset(固定思维) . It's
impossible to “be kind” overnight. It takes small change step by step. So, try to do one
kind thing before lunch. Do another one before you go to bed. Over time, you will easily
and habitually do kind things one day. You've become kind.
Rome was not built in a day and so does making changes. Great things can be done
slowly.
66.What can we learn from Paragraph 1?
A.Everyone can be a better one. B.Everyone has a big dream.
C.Failure is the mother of success. D.There's no way to success.
67.What does the underlined word “delay” probably mean?
A.Hear of. B.Put off. C.Put up. D.Look at.
68.In the writer's eyes, what makes those great runners?
A.Having good luck. B.Being kind to others.
C.Getting help from others. D.Sticking to what they want.
69.Which is a proper structure (结构) of the text?
A . B. C D
70.What is the best title for the text?
A.Become Better Little by Little B.Live a Successful Life
C.Make a Difference to the World D.Change Your Character
第二节 阅读表达(共 5小题:每小题 2分,满分 10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Imagine this: Students pass their schoolwork through different hands, from their group
leader to the class representative(课代表), and finally to the teacher. It might not sound
too difficult, but sometimes it can go wrong and take a lot of time.
To deal with this problem, Zhang Xirui from Shenzhen Gezhi Academy in Guangdong
came up with a useful tool—a smart homework collection robot.
The robot uses radio frequency identification(RFID,射频识别)technology—a reader
and a special tag(标签) that can share information without touching each other. This way,
it can help find and know what it is looking for. Each student's notebook has a special
RFID tag with their name and the subject on it. Students only need to place their notebooks
on the robot, and the machine "sees" the notebook, reads its tag and takes it out of the list.
"Teachers can check who hasn't turned in homework by connecting their phones with the
robot through Wi-Fi,” the boy said.
Now, Zhang is planning to develop a third-generation robot and hopes to use new
technology to read lots of RFID tags from far away. That means if you stick a special tag
on your notebook, the robot can read the information from lots of notebooks at once. Zhang
believes that this is the key to howAI can make life easier for us.
Zhang dreams of becoming a scientist when he grows up."I have tried making model
airplanes and other scientific and creative projects. Inventing has brought me joy and
happiness," he said.
