Most driverless cars work very differently to a human driver. Driverless cars
use AI.It is more efficient (有效率的) and easier than using a humanoid robot
to drive, but it is also bespoke (定做的) for each type of car.
Kento at the University of Tokyo and his group have developed a humanoid
robot, called Musashi. Musashi can drive a car in the same way as a human.
The robot will perform some driving tasks at present, such as going in a straight
line and taking a right-hand turn, moving at speeds of about 5 kilometers per
hour on non-public roads.“The speed of the car won't be high. Also, the handling
of the car won't be fast compared to human beings,” says Kento.

will work in any car, which could be useful when humanoid robots are produced
routinely (常规地).“I'm not looking 10 or 20 years in the future, but looking
50 or 100 years away,” he says.“This study is interesting for people developing
humanoid robots,” says Jack at University College, London.
