Teaching Objectives By the end of this section,students will be able to 1.understand the key concepts related to virtual reality (VR), including its definition, applications, and potential future developments. 2.learn new vocabulary and expressions related to technology and VR, such as "immersive experience," "headset," "simulation," and "augmented reality." 3.enhance their critical thinking skills by evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of VR technology. II. Teaching Key Points Understanding the main ideas and supporting details of the reading passage. Grasping the new vocabulary and expressions related to VR. Analyzing the applications and barriers of VR technology. III. Teaching Difficult Points Evaluating the potential impact of VR on society and individual lives. Encouraging students to imagine the development of VR in the future. IV. Teaching Methods Task-based method Discussion-based method Cooperative learning V. Teaching Aids Textbook PowerPoint presentation with images and videos of VR applications VI. Teaching Procedures step1. Lead-in (5 minutes) T begins with a brief discussion about technology and its impact on daily life and shows a short video clip of a VR experience and ask students to answer the following question: What do you think this technology is called?
