Passage 1
The wildlife on our planet is dying out at an alarming rate.
About 150 to 200 species on average are becoming extinct every day.
Fortunately, the situation has improved for some animals since measures are being taken to help them.
Take Tibetan antelopes for example.
The antelopes were once under threat because of the sharp reduction of their living space.
What’s worse, they faced serious attacks from hunters for illegal profits.
In order to save the beautiful creature, the government was under pressure to take effective measures immediately to protect them. Reserves were established to keep them safe from attacks.
Masses of posters were created to stir up people’s emotions.
Due to the effective measures taken by the authority, now an increasing number of people are taking a concerned attitude to Tibetan antelopes, being aware of the importance of watching over their habitat and searching for approaches to protect the wildlife in their neighbourhood.
The antelope whose population has recovered was removed from
the endangered species list.
Since the threats to the antelope are still in existence, the government tends to continue the protection program.
Only when we learn to live in harmony with nature can we stop
being a threat to wildlife and to our planet.

Dear fellow students,
范文赏析
Dear fellow students,
In recent years, a mass of wild animals has already died out and hundreds of others are becoming endangered. It is because they are being hunted and their habitats are getting reduced. Therefore, it is high time that we should take effective measures immediately to protect them. First of all, putting up some posters is a good choice. It can raise people’s awareness of protection and stir up their emotions to care for our earth companion. What’s more, “No buying, no hunting”. We should pay more attention to those endangered species being attacked by hunters, refusing to buy any products made from them.
A small action can make a big difference. Let’s take action now!

Li Hua
