25. 答案:B
解析:根据“he heard that there were demons on an island causing trouble”可知,桃太郎听说有恶魔在一个岛上制造麻烦,所以答案选B。A选项“岛上有宝藏”;C选项“岛上有一位美丽的公主”;D选项“岛上有一个节日”,原文均未提及。
26. 答案:B
解析:从“On his way, he met a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant”可以看出,桃太郎在去岛上的路上遇到了一只狗、一只猴子和一只野鸡,答案是B。A选项“一只猫、一只兔子和一只鸟”;C选项“一匹马、一头牛和一只羊”;D选项“一个巫师、一个仙女和一个巨人”,都不符合原文描述。

29. 答案:B
解析:根据“First, Nüwa collected colorful stones.”(首先,女娲收集了五彩石)以及“After melting the stones, she used the thick liquid to patch up the hole in the sky.”(融化石头后,她用浓稠的液体修补天空中的洞)可知,这里应该是说女娲用她的神力融化了石头,B选项“She melted the stones with her magical power”(她用她的神力融化了石头)符合逻辑,故填B。
30. 答案:F
解析:前文描述了女娲修补天空的过程,这里应该是说经过她的努力,天空被修好了,F选项“After her hard work, the sky was fixed”(经过她的努力,天空被修好了)符合语境,故填F。

解析:根据“Nüwa also cut off the legs of a giant turtle.”(女娲还砍掉了一只巨龟的腿)以及“With the turtle's legs as pillars, the sky was held up firmly.”(用龟腿作为柱子,天空被稳稳地撑起)可知,这里是说龟腿足够强壮能够支撑天空,D选项“These legs were strong enough to support the sky”(这些腿足够强壮能够支撑天空)符合逻辑,故填D。
32. 答案:E

44. 答案:honest
解析:“but”连接并列成分,“poor”(贫穷的)和“hard - working”(勤劳的)都是形容词,“honest”(诚实的)也是形容词,此处用形容词作定语修饰“boy”,所以填“honest”,“a poor but honest and hard - working boy”(一个贫穷但诚实且勤劳的男孩)。

48. 答案:won
解析:一般过去时,“win”的过去式是“won”,“In the end, Jack won the competition.”(最后,杰克赢得了比赛)。

50. 答案:kindness

My Favorite Fairy Tale
My favorite fairy tale is “Snow White”. Snow White's stepmother, the queen, was jealous of her beauty and tried to kill her. Snow White ran into the forest and met seven dwarfs. They became good friends. However, the queen found her and gave her a poisoned apple. Snow White fell into a deep sleep. Luckily, a prince came and kissed her, waking her up.
I like this story because it shows that kindness and beauty will always win. Also, the friendship between Snow White and the dwarfs touches me. It teaches me the importance of being kind - hearted and having true friends.
