Even the massive orders at the show got an emission-reduction perspective: Airlines and producers said the new planes would be more fuel-efficient than the ones they replaced. However, most of those planes will burn conventional kerosene-based (煤油) jet fuel. Some companies are working on electric-powered aircraft, which is regarded as a way to reduce the environmental effects of the aviation industry, providing zero emissions and quieter flights. However, they are still some way off from widespread commercial use. That means Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has become the industry’ s best hope of achieving its promise of net zero emissions by 2050. Sustainable fuel, however, accounts for just 0.1% of all jet fuel. Made from sources like used cooking oil and plant waste, SAF can be mixed with conventional jet fuel. A consumer group — BEUC — made a complaint against the European Union’s executive branch, accusing 17 airlines of greenwashing. The group says airlines are misleading consumers and breaking rules on commercial practices by encouraging customers to pay extra to help finance the development of SAF and offset (抵消) future carbon emissions created by flying. In one case, the group’s researchers found Air France charging up to 138 euros for the green option. With such a limited supply of SAF, critics say airlines are making overly ambitious promises and overstate how quickly they can increase the use of SAF. The industry even has doubters: Nearly one-third of aviation sustainability officers in an Aerospace survey doubt whether the industry will hit its net zero goal by 2050. “Sustainable aviation fuel is indeed the biggest technological potential to decarbonize the aviation sector, but the main problem is that it isn’t available,” said Dimitri Vergne, a senior policy officer at BEUC. “We know that before the end of the next decade, it won’t be available in massive quantities. Besides, it costs much more than conventional jet fuel,” Vergne added. 8. What did airlines and producers emphasize at the Paris Air Show? A. Ways of reducing fuel consumption. B. Achievements in planes’ safety performance. C. Environmental friendliness of their new planes. D. Efficiency of conventional kerosene-based jet fuel. 9. Why does the author mention electric-powered aircraft? A. To stress the necessity of developing SAF. B. To highlight the future of the aviation industry. C. To show efforts made to achieve net zero emissions. D. To explain their advantages over traditional aircraft. 10. What’s BEUC’s complaint mainly about? A. Airlines’ objection to consumers’ green option. B. Airlines’ ineffective way of developing SAF. C. Airlines’ abuse of financial assistance. D. Airlines’ greenwashing practices. 11. What would be the best title for the text? A. Sustainable Aviation Fuel: A Game Changer for Greener Flights B. Airline Industry’s Promised Green Shift: Challenges on the Way C. Addressing Climate Change: Effective Steps Required to Reduce Air Travel D. Fuel Efficiency Revolution: Laying the Groundwork for Emission Reduction 【答案】8. C 9. A 10. D 11. 根据第一段中的“Even the massive orders at the show got an emission-reduction perspective: Airlines and producers said the new planes would be more fuel-efficient than the ones they replaced. (即使是航展上的大量订单也从减排的角度出发:航空公司和制造商表示,新飞机将比他们取代的飞机更省油。)”可知,航空公司和生产商强调他们的新飞机会更节能环保。故选C。 【9题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段中的“However, they are still some way off from widespread commercial use. That means Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has become the industry’ s best hope of achieving its promise of net zero emissions by 2050. (然而,可持续燃料只占所有航空燃料的0.1%。SAF由用过的食用油和植物废料制成,可以与传统的喷气燃料混合。)”可知,目前电动飞机的发展还比较滞后,无法满足商用的目的,因此,作者提到电动飞机是为了表明发展可持续航空燃料的必要性。故选A。 根据第三段中的“A consumer group—BEUC—made a complaint against the European Union’s executive branch, accusing 17 airlines of greenwashing. The group says airlines are misleading consumers and breaking rules on commercial practices by encouraging customers to pay extra to help finance the development of SAF and offset (抵消) future carbon emissions created by flying. 根据全文可知,尤其是最后一段中的““Sustainable aviation fuel is indeed the biggest technological potential to decarbonize the aviation sector, but the main problem is that it isn’t available,” said Dimitri Vergne, a senior policy officer at BEUC. “We know that before the end of the next decade, it won’t be available in massive quantities. Besides, it costs much more than conventional jet fuel,” Vergne added. B。 D Is your dog at risk for a deadly disease? Could your adopted pup have hidden breed traits? Many pet owners turn to direct-to-consumer dog DNA testing for answers, fueling a booming industry. Human interfering with dog DNA has long been the driving factor behind dogs’ breed diversity — or lack thereof. But a dog’s DNA can also be used to confirm their lineage (血统) or identify their breed a boon for pet owners on the lookout for breed-specific health or behavioral challenges or those looking to confirm their dog really has the heritage claimed by a breeder or seller. During DNA analysis, labs sequence (测序) the dog’s DNA and look for similarities with a dataset of identified dog breeds. But breed identification proves complex. In a study, scientists looked into the accuracy of breed prediction in commercially available DNA tests that required a photo of the dog and its DNA sample. The results were mixed, says Casey Greene, a professor who co-authored the study. “Most tests could accurately distinguish the breed of purebred dogs,” says Greene. But the analysis suggested that some testing companies might rely on the photo more than the dog’s actual genetics — and revealed big differences between companies’ business practices and the genetic datasets they use to determine dog breeds. The researchers submitted photos and DNA of 12 purebred dogs with official breed certificates to six commercial canine (犬的) ancestry identification services. They sometimes sent incorrect photos to check if pictures affected results. One company wrongly labeled a hairless Chinese crested dog as a long-haired Brittany spaniel, seemingly based on the photo alone. The other five identified purebreds correctly but gave inconsistent reports about mixed ancestry. The researchers concluded that veterinarians (兽医) and pet owners alike should “approach direct-to-consumer tests with caution” given the lack of industry standardization and at least one company’s reliance on photographs instead of DNA analysis. Despite these concerns, though, dog DNA seems headed for a golden age. Domesticated dogs have emerged as surprising superstars in medical research that benefits humans. According to researchers, that’s just the beginning. With implications ranging from entertaining to groundbreaking, there’s no telling what dog DNA will continue to reveal. 12. Which of the following is closest in meaning to the underlined word “boon” in paragraph 2? A. Blessing. B. Resolution. C. Duty. D. Struggle. 13. Which purpose of dog DNA testing is NOT mentioned in the passage? A. To assist in verifying the breed a dog belongs to. B. To predict whether dogs are subject to certain diseases. C. To provide pet owners with insights into dogs’ behavioral challenges. D. To sequence the DNA of identified dog breeds to find their similarities. 14. What can we conclude according to paragraphs 4 and 5? A. Mixed-breed dogs receive more reliable results than purebreds. B. The tests’ accuracy varies across companies due to inconsistent methods and data. C. Veterinarians should avoid recommending these tests to ensure accurate diagnoses. D. Photos play a more significant role in identifying a dog’s breed than its actual genetics. 15. What does the passage suggest about the future of dog DNA testing? A. Controversies regarding its reliability are here to stay. B. It can step into a golden age as long as some research limitations are fixed. C. It is bound to make breakthroughs in the fields of medicine and entertainment. D. It may have far-reaching significance and be applied to a wider range of areas. A 13. D 14. B 15. 根据画线词后文“for pet owners on the lookout for breed-specific health or behavioral challenges or those looking to confirm their dog really has the heritage claimed by a breeder or seller(对于那些留意特定品种所存在的健康或行为方面问题的宠物主人,以及那些想要确认自己的狗确实拥有饲养员或卖家所宣称的血统的人来说)”可知,狗的DNA也可以用来确认它们的血统或识别它们的品种,这对于关注品种特定健康或行为问题的宠物主人而言是一大福音,也能帮助验证犬只是否具备饲养员或卖家所声称的血统。 故选A。 根据第二段中的“During DNA analysis, labs sequence (测序) the dog’s DNA and look for similarities with a dataset of identified dog breeds.(在DNA分析过程中,实验室对狗的DNA进行测序,并寻找与已识别犬种数据集的相似性)”可知,D选项“对已识别的狗品种的DNA进行测序,以找到它们的相似性”不是狗的DNA测试可以服务的目的。 根据第四段中的“But the analysis suggested that some testing companies might rely on the photo more than the dog’s actual genetics — and revealed big differences between companies’ business practices and the genetic datasets they use to determine dog breeds.(但分析表明,一些测试公司可能更多地依赖于狗的照片,而不是狗的实际基因,并揭示了公司的商业实践和他们用来确定狗品种的基因数据集之间的巨大差异)”并结合第五段中的“The researchers concluded that veterinarians (兽医) and pet owners alike should “approach direct-to-consumer tests with caution” given the lack of industry standardization and at least one company’s reliance on photographs instead of DNA analysis.(研究人员得出结论,鉴于该行业缺乏标准化,而且至少有一家公司依赖照片而非DNA分析,兽医和宠物主人都应该“谨慎对待直接面向消费者的检测”)”可推知,由于方法和数据的不一致,各公司的测试准确性各不相同。 根据最后一段“Despite these concerns, though, dog DNA seems headed for a golden age. Domesticated dogs have emerged as surprising superstars in medical research that benefits humans. According to researchers, that’s just the beginning. With implications ranging from entertaining to groundbreaking, there’s no telling what dog DNA will continue to reveal.(不过,尽管存在这些担忧,狗的DNA似乎正走向一个黄金时代。 Huang Xuhua’s legacy as China’s nuclear submarine pioneer embodies the triumph of intellect over adversity. His journey began in 1926, Guangdong, where a childhood enthusiasm for machinery saw him disassembling complex devices and accurately reassembling them. ____16____ This amazing talent secured his place in Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s naval architecture program, shaping his destiny. When tasked in 1958 with developing China’s first nuclear submarine, Huang faced great obstacles: zero foreign technical support and scarce resources. ____17____ Astonishingly, his team verified hull curvature (船体曲率) precision using chicken bones as hydrodynamic models. Such ingenuity made up for the lack of supercomputers. The project’s secrecy demanded extraordinary sacrifice. My plan is to start with 15-minute morning runs at the playground from 6:50 to 7:05 every day. We can use a fitness app to check in. On the third morning, we left our camp for a hike. We picked our way along a stream in a park. There were six of us. Tall and strong, Sam led the way. After a while, we found a small waterfall and some smaller kids playing in the pool below together with their camp leaders. Forked ribbons of water (分叉的带状水流) leapt about three meters into the pool. We settled ourselves on a large stone above the waterfall. We unpacked our bags and spread out food, eating and laughing. Minutes later, the others carried all the food and attempted to jump across the stream above the waterfall. Soon, they crossed the first narrow ribbon of water and were now standing on the rocks that bordered the second channel. To me, the second channel looked so wide! Scared, I decided to stay right where I was. But they yelled back, “Come on over here! If you want any juice, that is!” I was thirsty. Slowly, I picked my way across a group of rocks till I reached a flat stone opposite where they were grouped. All had their backs to me; they were now busy aiming small stones at a fallen tree on the bank. I glanced down. The very cold water was running past the stone, inches away from my feet. I looked across the belt of water towards the tempting fruit juice! This sight inspired me to take action. I bent down, tensed myself to leap, and then glanced towards the left side. Barely two meters away was the waterfall. Although it was small and there were adults below, I still feared. My knees trembled; I drew back a couple of paces, staring at the running water. “Come along, Jimmy!” Sam said in a gentle voice. I looked up. Sam stood on the other side, barely four feet away from me. He must have seen me hesitating on the edge of the stone and sensed my terror at jumping across this little stream! Embarrassed, I took off my glasses. I wiped them, searching for a reason to avoid crossing the water. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Then I gathered my courage, took a step forward, and jumped lightly across the channel. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 I wiped them, searching for a reason to avoid crossing the water. After putting them on again, Sam was still there. “I don’t want any juice!” I said. Sam nodded understandingly. “Fine!” he spoke pleasantly and stood waiting. Frustrated by my own weakness, I took a deep breath, preparing myself to jump across the water. Once again, fear overwhelmed me. I looked towards where the others sat. Much to my relief, they still had their backs turned; only Sam stood opposite me, looking straight into my eyes, patiently. Then I gathered my courage, took a step forward, and jumped lightly across the channel. A slight slip of my heel on a stone was quickly steadied by Sam’s strong forearm against my back. As I glanced up, I couldn’t help but notice Sam’s towering height — the tallest among us. “Well done, Jimmy!” he said, nodding in approval while praising me for my bravery. Meanwhile, he handed me a bottle of juice. While drinking it, I felt a sense of pride in myself and gratitude towards Sam for his kindness. 词汇激活 行为类 ①想要:want/would like ②注意到:notice/spot ③递给:hand/give 情绪类 ①沮丧的:frustrated/depressed ②感激:gratitude/thankfulness 【点睛】【高分句型1】I looked towards where the others sat.(运用了where引导的宾语从句) 【高分句型2】As I glanced up, I couldn’t help but notice Sam’ s towering height — the tallest among us.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句) 1-5CABAC 6-10ACBAC 11-15BACBC 16-20AABCB 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 雅礼中学2025届高三月考试卷(七) 英语 注意事项: 1. How much is the shirt? Among her numerous honors are her roles as an advocate for education, a human rights activist, and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Born in Mingora, Pakistan, in 1997, Malala encountered tough challenges from a young age, yet she emerged as a global symbolization of resilience (坚韧) and unwavering determination. At the age of 11, Malala embarked on her advocacy for girls’ education in her hometown, undeterred by the threats from the Taliban, who fiercely opposed female education. Her remarkable courage and perseverance drew international attention, but it also made her a high-profile target. In 2012, she was the victim of a brutal attack by a gunman while en route home from school. The assassination (暗杀) attempt, intended to silence her, paradoxically strengthened her voice on the global stage, spreading her message to an international audience. How did Malala Yousafzai transform adversity (逆境) into advocacy and become global icon status? Following her arduous recovery, she persisted in championing the right to education. Her first speech at the United Nations in 2013 represented a crucial moment in her pursuit. Subsequently, she co-authored her memoir, “I Am Malala”, which became international bestseller status. In 2014, at the age of 17, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, becoming the youngest-ever winner for her brave struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the universal right to education. Malala’s activism exceeds the field of education. She has used her influential platform to advocate for human rights, gender equality, and peace. Her organization, the Malala Fund, is dedicated to ensuring that every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, and quality education. Despite the challenges she has faced, Malala remains an indomitable beacon of hope and inspiration for millions across the globe. 4. Why did the 2012 attack on Malala backfire? A. It led to the immediate collapse of the Taliban’s cause. B. It silenced other activists advocating for girls’ education. C. It drew widespread attention to her cause and highlighted her message. D. It caused Malala to give in to the Taliban’s cause out of fear. 5. What does the phrase “transform adversity into advocacy” in paragraph 3 most likely imply about Malala Yousafzai’s journey? A. She used her personal struggles as a platform to fight for others’ rights. B. She abandoned her activism after facing life-threatening challenges. C. She focused on her recovery and avoided public attention. D. She shifted her focus from education to political leadership. 6. Which of the following best describes Malala Yousafzai? A. Courageous and determined. B. Ambitious and adventurous. C. Sympathetic and forgiving. D. Tolerant and resilient. 7. What is the main point of Malala Yousafzai’s story? A. Education is the key to empowerment. B. Fame comes with opportunities and risks. C. Young girls can contribute to social change. D. Adversity can be overcome with determination and hope. C Sustainability was a hot topic at the Paris Air Show, the world’s largest event for the aviation industry (航空业), which faces increasing pressure to reduce the climate-changing greenhouse gases that aircraft emit. 8 What did airlines and producers emphasize at the Paris Air Show? Fuel Efficiency Revolution: Laying the Groundwork for Emission Reduction D Is your dog at risk for a deadly disease? Could your adopted pup have hidden breed traits? Many pet owners turn to direct-to-consumer dog DNA testing for answers, fueling a booming industry. Human interfering with dog DNA has long been the driving factor behind dogs’ breed diversity — or lack thereof. But a dog’s DNA can also be used to confirm their lineage (血统) or identify their breed, a boon for pet owners on the lookout for breed-specific health or behavioral challenges or those looking to confirm their dog really has the heritage claimed by a breeder or seller. Huang Xuhua’s legacy as China’s nuclear submarine pioneer embodies the triumph of intellect over adversity. To me the second channel looked so wide! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1-5CABAC 6-10ACBAC 11-15BACBC 16-20AABCB 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$这是延德英才大联考雅礼中学2025届高三月考试卷7英语课听力部分,该部分分为第一第二两节。 Hello, international friends club, can I help you?
