A
My hometown is a small but beautiful town.I left my hometown ten years ago. When I came back,I found that it changed a lot.
When I left, there were only a few small shops in my hometown. Now,there is a big supermarket in the south of the town. And there are different kinds of things in it.There is also a new hotel. There was a great park there before, but people cut down all the trees. It is a pity.

In the north of the town, there was a town library. It was old and small ten years ago but it is big and beautiful now.And there are more books and magazines in it.People in my town like to go there to read. There is also a new post office just across from my old school.
Another change is the number of new restaurants. There are more restaurants in my hometown. There is a new Chinese restaurant in the town centre and a new Thai restaurant near my home.I like the two restaurants very much!

There was nobody in the desert(沙漠).A lonely tree was growing among hot sands(沙) of dead desert. The sands covered the wood.Though the hot sun burned it strongly, the tree still stood up bravely.
One day a hawk(鹰) flew over the desert. The hawk saw the tree and sat on its branch(树枝).He looked around the desert and said,“You are a strange tree. Why do you keep on living among these dead hot sands?Who needs you? What do you live for?”

“You,” the tree answered.
“Me?” the hawk was surprised.“I don’t need you.”
“But if not me,” the tree said,“you would have to sit on the hot sands instead of my body.If not me,someone who sees you sitting on the sands alone would say that nobody needs you as well. And he or she would also ask you what you live for.”
The hawk thought about it and agreed with the tree.If there was no tree, the hawk would feel himself alone and useless among this big hot sands of dead desert.
Life is like this.____________________________
