1.Divide the class into groups of four or five.Ask them to discuss the question.
2.Get some groups to tell the class their answers.

1.Analyze the topic about “volunteer and charity”.Its writing directions are usually:describing a experience of volunteering;writing a letter to thank someone who helped you;writing a letter to the place you want to volunteer at.
2.Help the students know how to write a letter or an e⁃mail.
3.Ask the students to write a letter or an e⁃mail to the place they want to volunteer at using the expressions in 3b.
4.Ask the students to correct the composition with their deskmates.
5.Choose several students to share their compositions in class.

1.Finish Self Check 1
(1)Ask the students to use as many words as possible to fill in each blank.
(2)The teacher asks questions and students answer.
(3)Project more phrases on the screen or write them on the board.And students look them up in the dictionary.Then the teacher explains these phrases.
(4)Ask the students to take notes and remember them.
2.Finish Self Check 2
(1)Ask the students to read the passage quickly and fill in each blank.
(2)Check the answers.
(3)Review the knowledge of infinitives.
◇教学反思◇
本节课在复习前面所学内容的基础上,通过综合练习进一步巩固了本单元的知识。在教学中,老师要尽量多为学生营造出贴近生活、符合事实的志愿活动的情境,为学生创设宽广的展示空间。这样,不仅可以让学生巩固所学知识,而且锻炼了学生用英语交际的能力。
