Step 2 Work on 2a 1.Lead the students to discuss how they usually thank someone who helps them with partners. 2.Have some pairs present their ideas. Step 3 Work on 2b 1.Ask the students to skim the letter and answer the questions: (1)Who wrote the letter to Miss Li?Why? (2)What did Miss Li do? 2.Check the answers. 3.Let the students read the letter carefully and put a mark in the contents that are unfamiliar to them.Discuss with classmates or turn to the teacher. 4.Lead the students to learn the article sentence by sentence.Pay attention to the difficult language points. 5.Let the students practice reading the letter and then read after the recording. Step 4 Work on 2c 1.Ask the students to find the sentences from the article in 2b containing the words in 2c and tell the part of speech of each word.Check the answers. 2.Have the students make their own sentences with these words.Ask some students to write them on the blackboard. 3.Check the answers with the whole class. Step 5 Work on 2d 1.Let the students read the article in 2b again and make true sentences by matching the different parts. 2.Ask some students to read out their sentences.
