1.Greet the class.

Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Get the students to look at the picture and ask the students to read the conversation aloud.
2.Have the students find the ways they could help people in the picture and list other ways they could help people.
3.Let the students share their opinions and give them feedback.
Step 3 Work on 1b-1c
1.Play the recording and ask the students to complete the practice in 1b.
2.Then check the answers and ask them to make conversations using the information in 1b.
3.Invite some students to present their conversations.And the teacher gives comments.
Step 4 Work on 2a-2b
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in 2a and talk about these pictures in pairs.
2.Play the recording and have them complete the practice.
3.Check the answers.
4.Ask the class to pre⁃fill in the blanks in 2b according to the pictures.Then play the recording again and ask the students to fill in the blanks.
5.Play the recording for a third time and check the answers with the whole class.Ask questions and get the students to answer with complete sentences.
Step 5 Work on 2c
1.Ask the students to read the conversation.
2.According to the example given,let the students make conversations in pairs using the information in 2a and 2b.
3.The teacher walks around the classroom and gives help.
4.Invite some pairs to present their conversations.
Step 6 Work on 2d
1.Read the conversation and answer the two questions:
(1)Where’s Helen going to work this summer?
(2)What did Tom do to help the old people?
2.Ask the class to read the conversation more carefully.Encourage them to write down and learn the new words and phrases.
3.Lead the students to study the language points of the conversation.
4.Play the recording and get the students to read after the recording.
5.Practice the conversation with their partners.Then let some pairs act out the conversation.

本节课结束时,老师安排学生总结本课时的重难点,培养他们总结知识、学会学习的能力。通过总结和反思,使学生找出自己的不足之处,以便有针对性地学习。老师也能通过学生的总结,了解多数学生的疑惑或发现学生存在的问题,在以后的教学中更有导向性。
