As I sat waiting for my flight to be called, I reflected (思考) on my last meeting for the day. It was a very enjoyable lunch with an old business friend. We had not seen each other for over 12 years. At the end of our time together, we both said how much we had enjoyed it and that we must do it again.
It was great to think about all that we had talked about. I realized just how important it is to have reminders of the good times in your life. I was lucky enough to have the time to take a short break and reflect on the good things that had happened in my life over 12 years ago. It was like looking at an old photo album stored away in a cupboard in your house. There before your eyes are lots of wonderful memories that take you back to times and places, and to those people who are in the photos.

At an early age, we start learning how to manage money by watching our parents’ spending habits. Don’t worry if we haven’t learned well how to save or spend money. The following life lessons about money can help us form good spending habits.
Money doesn’t grow on trees. As kids, we don’t often think about where money comes from. We need to know that our parents work hard to make money, and that it may be used up one day. Going to their workplaces to watch how they work is a great way to understand money is not that easy to make.
We shouldn’t spend all our money in one go. It’s important for us to have a budget. In other words, we need to think about how much money we have and what we really want to spend it on. Realizing that our pocket money can’t cover everything we want, we should make smart spending choices.
We should set a clear goal and watch our money grow. If we wish to own a new bicycle but can’t afford it, we can save our pocket money. How? Write down how much money we have in a notebook and watch it grow. After we have enough, we can buy that wonderful bicycle we’ve dreamed about! Reaching our goal will greatly satiate us.
We can talk with our parents about how money is used and where money goes. Do you know what a bank account is? If not, communicate with our parents. We can also go to the supermarket with our parents to experience how money is spent in the real world.
Without doubt, we should treat money in a right way. Actually, learning about money isn’t a hard job. From these lessons, we can get a sense of money management and right money values step by step!

Has a person ever warmly held a door open for you? How do you feel after playing with friends? And what would you say is your favourite family memory? These questions have one thing in common: they’re all about connecting with people. “Let’s Connect” is the theme of this year’s Children’s Mental (心理的) Health Week. It improves mental health by building healthy social connections.
Humans naturally connect with others, whether that’s family, friends or people in our community. Healthy connections give people energy and support—we all need people to celebrate and share our worries with. Social connections aren’t just about mental health; they improve physical health too, helping us to live a long life. Research suggests being lonely can slowly harm your health. Humans’ need for connection is different from person to person, but what’s important is not how many relationships you have, but how good your relationships are.
Then how to connect with others? “You can reach out and connect with people in so many different ways,” says Julia Clements of Place2Be, the organizer behind Children’s Mental Health Week. You can connect in person or online, with your friends, parents, teachers or classmates. It’s not just people, either. “Some people feel connected with their pets or in nature,” says Clements. She advises making time to build more connections through actions as well as words. Being kind, listening to others and trying new experiences are all good tools.
Everybody may feel lonely sometimes and refuse to talk to others. Keep in mind that connections change—some become stronger, while others stop. “Remember that there are always people that care for you,” advises Clements. She says it’s important to tell someone you trust about how you are feeling, or safe organizations such as Childline or Shout. They can help, whether you’re looking to form new connections or repair a strained (紧张) relationship that is important to you.
36. The writer uses three questions in the beginning to ________.
A. express worries about humans B. lead into the topic
C. introduce health problems D. interest readers in family memory
37. Paragraph 2 is mainly about the ________ of connecting with others.
A. ways B. popularity C. importance D. rules
38. Clements may agree that ________.
A. it is better to connect with pets than people
B. using words is the best way to build connections
C. people should only communicate with others face to face
D. talking to others can be helpful to a lonely person
39. The passage is most probably written for ________.
A. teachers B. parents C. children D. doctors
40. What is the text mainly about?
A. How do you refuse to talk to others? B. What should you do when you feel lonely?

A Relax. B. Interest. C. Surprise. D. Satisfy.
