Module 8 Choosing presents Unit 1 I always like birthday parties 一、 Teaching Material Analysis (1) Content Analysis The topic of this module is choosing presents. The function is inviting and describing birthday parties. The grammar is adverbs of frequency. It develops listening, speaking,reading and writing by asking and stating birthday parties. In Unit 1 it talks about what we usually do on birthday. It finishs by planning a classmate’s birthday party. （2）Teaching Aims 1. Knowledge Aims (1) Words: party,present, card, never,always,special… (2)Adverbs of frequency: always, usually,sometimes, never； 2. Ability Aims a. Develop students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. b. Train students’ abilities of communication 3. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use the task-based teaching method.
