①Do you know the word “migrate”?
②“Migrate” is usually used to talk about certain animals such as birds and fish. When animals migrate, they travel a long way from one part of the world to another according to the season. Many animals migrate—they do this often at the same time and to the same place each year. They move to places where conditions are better—where the weather is warmer, where there is more food and water, or where their young will be safer.
③People also migrate. When people migrate, they go to live in another area or country, especially in order to find work. In England, when people leave their home country in order to live in another country, we use the word “emigrate” instead of “migrate”. From “migrate” and “emigrate” come the words “migration” and “emigration”. However, if people move from their home country to another to live there evermore (永久地), the word changes from “emigrate” to “immigrate” in the English language. Then the word “immigration” is born.

For many years, testing the moon soil has been the scientists’ dream. The chance finally came as the astronauts returning back from the moon, carrying some well protected moon soil to the lab.

But the plants in the real moon soil grew more slowly than those in the fake moon soil.
As a result, the moon soil may have something that is not suitable for plants’ growth. In order to solve the problem, choosing the soil from the younger geological (地质的) places on the moon and creating a more suitable growing environment for the plants may be a possible solution(解决方案).

which哪一个;who谁;this这个。根据“During the Chinese New Year, lion dancers from martial art schools will visit all kinds of stores to ‘choi tsing’...is picking the greens.” 故选A。
根据“It...to bring good luck and success to business.” 句中“It is thought to...”
根据“During ‘choi tsing’, the store keeper...a red envelope filled with money to a head of lettuce and put it up high above the front door.”
get获取,动词原形;to get去获取,动词不定式;to getting获取,表述不正确。根据“The lion then plays lots of movements...the lettuce.”
as作为;for为了;by通过。根据“In the end the dancers receive the money...a payment.” 此处使用“as”意为“作为”符合语境,“as a payment”指“作为报酬”。故选A。

Love,
Amy

Mobile Phones
Mobile phones have greatly changed people’s life. Mobile phones were invented by American Martin Cooper in 1973. Now they are getting smaller and cheaper and they have more functions. We can use them to read news, send messages, make phone calls and read all kinds of books. Besides, we can use them to enjoy music, do some shopping and play games. In a word, mobile phones have made our life more colorful.
However, they also bring us many problems. Some people have been mobile phone freaks. For example, if people use them while riding, they may cause traffic accidents. If the adults take the children out to play, they just play with their phones and the children will cry. It’s also dangerous. If we spend a lot of time on the mobile phones, it may affect our study. What’s more, they’re bad for our eyes and necks.
In my opinion, we shouldn’t spend lots of time on them and we should use them properly.
