Meimei : Oh, so you mean positive body language helps us convey positive message?
LiLei : Yes, for example, an open posture can convey confidence, trust, and calm.
Meimei :But what do you mean by open posture?
LiLei : What I was trying to say was that we can try to sit up straight instead of slouching. This is especially helpful in situations like meetings and interviews because it shows energy and confidence.
Meimei : Oh, I get it.
LiLei : Having a firm and strong handshake is also a commonly used gesture between friends or co-workers to convey confidence and trust. When shaking someone’s hand, squeeze it lightly while maintaining eye contact, which displays interest and respect. Smiling is a common sign of happiness and kindness.
