John James Audubon was an American bird expert and wildlife painter. He was born in 1785 in

around their legs. The next year when he saw a bird with the cotton around the leg return,he knew his
ideas were correct. He was one of the first people to start to understand bird migration and make
birdwatching popular.

of America in the US.It is considered to be one of the best bird books ever since. These days it's also
one of the most expensive:an early copy was recently sold for $7 million. He also found 25 new kinds
