根据Katmandu Park, Dominican Republic中的“Tickets from $120 for adults: $85 for children for a one-use pass(成人票价120美元,儿童一次通票85美元)”可知,带着一个孩子的夫妇至少需付120*2+85= $325。
Peppa Pig Theme Park, the US中的“The Daddy Pig ride takes families on a windy road in the show’s red car. (在The Daddy Pig这个骑行项目里,一家人可以乘坐红色汽车在蜿蜒的路上行进)”和Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, Thailand中的“The movie-themed water park features rides and experiences inspired by popular films like Zombieland. In addition to the rides, the park hosts performances at its Mega Wave Pool, where guests can hang out in the pool while enjoying movie screenings and pop concerts.(这座以电影为主题的水上乐园的游乐设施和体验灵感来自热门电影《僵尸乐园》。除了游乐设施,公园还在其Mega Wave Pool举办表演,客人可以在泳池里闲逛,同时欣赏电影放映和流行音乐会)”以及Katmandu Park, Dominican Republic中的“The 4D dark ride is brought to life by lighting and projection effects.( (灯光和投影效果使4D黑暗之旅栩栩如生)”和Legoland Korea Resort, South Korea中的“This playful wonderland is devoted to all things of Lego, with more than 40 rides and attractions across seven thematic zones.(这个有趣的仙境致力于乐高的所有东西,在七个主题区内有40多个骑行游乐设施和景点)” 可推知,这四个主题公园有共同点是都有骑乘项目。故选A。
B
There has been a battle raging in my living room—a deep-rooted standoff that began when I was a child of about nine. That is the age I was when my parents purchased a second-hand piano to support my continuing musical training.
Some may characterize it as a love-hate relationship, even though I believe the bond between us is more than that. Of course, on the “hate” side there were plenty of frustrating hours spent practicing, the forced performances for relatives and the trimmed fingernails. And the obligation I had to shoulder, as my family sacrificed a lot for me to have piano lessons, because I had talent. My teachers said so and, truthfully, my heart said so, too. But all too often it felt like a burden.
There was also love on that piano bench. There were times when I could feel the music ring through me. I could feel it vibrate (震动) through my fingers. The connection between two people when we were performing a duet was beautiful. When my music landed on my audience it made me want to play forever.
But my musical talent did not survive my teenage years because of my desire for freedom. When I had a home of my own, the piano mostly sat unloved or at least unused, feeling fingers on the keys only during Christmas and when my own children took piano lessons.
And yet here I am, writing about my piano. I’m about to move house and despite my emotions, there just isn’t space for the piano.
It feels like I am giving away the family pet. So here I sit playing my last tune before the movers take the piano away and surprisingly there lies a growing desire for something else. It is time to clear the air to let in a different melody. Time to say, “Thank you for being part of my life, ” take a bow and leave the stage… with one final note rising up alongside the dust in a sunbeam.
4. What does the underlined word in paragraph 1 mean?
A. Conflict. B. Challenge. C. Relationship. D. Understanding.
5. Which of the following is NOT the reason for the author’s love on her piano?
A. She could feel the music ring through her.
B. She enjoyed the vibrations through her fingers.
C. She had great artistic talent.
D. She liked the connection with her partner when playing a duet.
6. How did the author feel when her piano was to be moved ?
A. Delighted. B. Contradictory. C. Indifferent. D. Sad.
7. What is the most suitable title for the passage?
A. Reflection on My Musical Journey. B. Challenges of Playing the Piano.
C. Love and Responsibility in Music. D. A Farewell to My Piano.
A 5. C 6. B 7. D
根据第二段中“Some may characterize it as a love-hate relationship, even though I believe the bond between us is more than that. Of course, on the “hate” side there were plenty of frustrating hours spent practicing, the forced performances for relatives, the trimmed fingernails.(有些人可能会把它描述为爱恨情仇,尽管我相信我们之间的关系不止于此。当然,在“讨厌”的一面,有很多令人沮丧的练习时间,强迫为亲戚表演,修剪指甲)”及第三段中“There was also love on that piano bench.(钢琴凳上也有爱)”可知,作者对这架二手钢琴的情感是矛盾的,既有爱又有恨,由此可知划线词词义为“冲突、矛盾”,故选A项。
【5题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段“And the obligation I had to shoulder, as my family sacrificed a lot for me to have piano lessons, because I had talent. My teachers said so and, truthfully, my heart said so, too. But all too often it felt like a burden.(还有我必须承担的义务,因为我的家人为我上钢琴课牺牲了很多,因为我有天赋。我的老师也这么说了,说实话,我的内心也这么认为。但这常常感觉像是一种负担。)”以及第三段“There was also love on that piano bench. There were times when I could feel the music ring through me. I could feel it vibrate (震动) through my fingers. The connection between two people when we were performing a duet was beautiful. When my music landed on my audience it made me want to play forever.(在钢琴长凳上也有爱。有时候我能感觉到音乐在我体内回荡。我能感觉到它通过我的手指震动。当我们表演二重唱时,我们两个之间的关系很好。当我的音乐落在我的观众身上时,它让我想永远演奏。)”可知作者的天赋在作者看来是一种负担,而不是喜欢钢琴的原因,其他三项都是作者喜欢钢琴的原因。故选C项。
【6题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章最后一段“It feels like I am giving away the family pet. So here I sit playing my last tune before the movers take the piano away and surprisingly there lies a growing desire for something else. It is time to clear the air to let in a different melody.(感觉就像我把家里的宠物送人了。在搬家工人把钢琴搬走之前,我坐在这里弹奏最后一支曲子,令人惊讶的是,我对其他东西的渴望越来越强烈。是时候净化空气,让不同的旋律进入了。)”可知作者对于即将要搬走的钢琴既有像送走家庭宠物般的不舍,同时又有着对于新东西的渴望,所以心情是矛盾的。故选B项。
【7题详解】
主旨大意题。根据最后一段“It feels like I am giving away the family pet. So here I sit playing my last tune before the movers take the piano away and surprisingly there lies a growing desire for something else.(感觉就像我把家里的宠物送人了。所以,在搬家公司把钢琴搬走之前,我坐在这里弹奏最后一首曲子,令人惊讶的是,我越来越想要别的东西)”可知,作者回顾了多年来对这架钢琴的复杂情感,最后表示要把钢琴处理掉了。所以A Farewell to My Piano“和我的钢琴说再见”.
C
In the US, there is an old joke: “Tie an Italian’s hands behind his back and he’ll be speechless.” However, Susan Goldin-Meadowin, author of the book Thinking With Your Hands, has a rather different view.
“Almost everyone gestures, not just Italians,” she laughs. “Conference interpreters gesture in their little rooms, though no one is looking at them. Even people born blind gesture when they speak, including to each other. In the TV series, The Crown, Lady Diana is warned that her hands may reveal her real emotions, which could be dangerous and that they have to be tied together so she can learn to speak without gesturing.”
The gesture under discussion is the so-called “co-speech gesture”. It is much more abstract than such symbolic gestures like a finger over the lips for “Silence!” or raising a finger to mean “Great!”. Like words, such symbolic gestures are fixed within cultures (but vary between them). Instead, co-speech gestures that accompany speech are another channel of information and emotion. For example, subjects are asked to watch a film in which a cat runs, but they are told to lie and say it jumped. They may do so in words—while their hands will make a running movement. The co-speech gesture is not sign languages, either. They have clearly defined words and grammar.
And the co-speech gestures have great potential for practical applications. For example, some students who fail at a tricky mathematics problem may gesture in a way that indicates they understand it. Then they should be taught differently from the ones whose gestures suggest that they really understand it.
“Children with language delays caused by brain injuries at or around birth are likely to catch up verbally by the age of about 30 months, if they gesture as much as their peers (同龄人). Those who gesture less are more likely to need intensive early intervention,” Susan Goldin-Meadowin adds. “Co-speech gesturing is not just about a lack of control. It is about thinking and communication, and is an aid to both.”
8. What does Susan Goldin-Meadowin really want to tell us in paragraph 2?
A. Lady Diana is probably an emotional woman.
B. Italians are very talkative and gesture too much.
C. It is unnatural for the blind to gesture to each other.
D. Co-speech gestures are used by all of us unknowingly.
9. What can we say about sign languages?
A. They are as abstract as co-speech gestures.
B. They have clearly defined words and grammar.
C. They are usually learned by human beings naturally.
D. They vary from culture to culture and person to person.
10. What does the author suggest teachers do in the text?
A. Put enough trust in students.
B. Encourage students to tell the truth.
C. Observe the co-speech gestures carefully.
D. Teach the tricky problems in different ways.
11. What is the best title for the text?
A. Co-speech Gestures Are a Vital Part of Communication
B. Symbolic Gestures Differ Greatly From Co-speech Gestures
C. Co-speech Gestures Are More Difficult Than Sign Languages
D. Symbolic Gestures Have Great Potential for Practical Applications
D 9. B 10. C 11. A
根据第二段中的“Conference interpreters gesture in their little rooms, though no one is looking at them. Even people born blind gesture when they speak, including to each other. In the TV series, The Crown, Lady Diana is warned that her hands may reveal her real emotions, which could be dangerous and that they have to be tied together so she can learn to speak without gesturing.(会议口译员在他们的小房间里做手势,尽管没有人看着他们。即使是天生失明的人在说话时也会做出手势,包括对彼此说话。在电视剧《王冠》中,戴安娜王妃被警告说,她的手可能会暴露出她的真实情绪,这可能很危险,而且必须把手绑在一起,这样她才能学会说话而不做手势。)”这几个例子可推断,Susan Goldin-Meadowin认为这种co-speech gesture是下意识的,而且所有人都会用。故选D项。
【9题详解】
细节理解题,根据第三段“The co-speech gesture is not sign languages, either. They have clearly defined words and grammar.(co-speech gesture也不是手语。手语有明确的单词和语法。)”可知,手语有明确的单词和语法。故选B项。
【10题详解】
推理判断题。根据第四段“For example, some students who fail at a tricky mathematics problem may gesture in a way that indicates they understand it. Then they should be taught differently from the ones whose gestures suggest that they really understand it.(例如,有些学生在一道棘手的数学题上失败了,他们的手势可能表明他们理解了这道题。然后,他们应该接受与那些手势表明他们真正理解这道题的学生不同的教育。)”可推断,作者会建议教师做细致观察学生手势,来确定学生是否真正理解,避免被误导。故选C项。
【11题详解】
主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是最后一段“Co-speech gesturing is not just about a lack of control. It is about thinking and communication, and is an aid to both.(Co-speech gesturing不仅仅是关于缺乏控制。它是关于思考和交流的,对两者都有帮助。)”可知,本文主要是说明co-speech gesture在交流中的重要作用。所以A项Co-speech Gestures Are a Vital Part of Communication(Co-speech Gestures 是交流的重要组成部分)符合语境。故选A项。
D
For more than half a century, scientists have sought to understand X-rays from space and what they reveal about our galaxy and the universe beyond it. As it turns out, lobsters can help astronomers do just that.
Lobsters (龙虾) have developed specialized eyes to see in their dark habitats located up to around 2,300 feet below the ocean surface. Unlike humans, whose eyes consist of rounded lenses that bend light, lobsters’ eyes depend on reflection. Each of their two eyes is packed with up to 10,000 square-shaped tubes. Each tube is lined with a flat, reflective surface that acts like a mirror to direct incoming light down to the retina (视网膜). This setup affords lobsters a full 180-degree view, compared with humans’ 120-degree vision.
The breakthrough idea connecting lobster eyes to astronomy came in 1978 when Roger Angel, an astronomer at the University of Arizona, drew inspiration from an article on animal vision. Angel envisioned creating instruments imitating lobster eyes to enhance the capture of cosmic X-rays during missions beyond Earth’s orbit. In 1992, researchers from Columbia University ran the first successful X-ray measurements using lobster-eye instruments. It took another 15 years before the tech was adapted for spacecraft missions. “This is a technology that’s been around a long time in astrophysics,” says Scott Porter, an astrophysicist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Today, Porter’s team has developed specialized instruments to better understand how solar wind interact with Earth’s magnetic (磁的) field. Researchers pack thousands of tiny glass tubes and then heat and curve them to create a ball shape that can concentrate the X-rays into a singular point. Plus, many of these tools are much lighter and smaller than traditional X-ray instruments, and therefore easier to incorporate into multi-instrument missions.
Porter says that the number of applications for lobster-based instruments have increased in recent years. As projects receive funding, lobster eye instruments may become a key tool in our quest to better understand the vast, mysterious universe.
12. How does the structure of lobster eyes contribute to their vision capabilities?
A. The square-shaped lenses help the eyes focus better.
B. Tubes in the eyes can refract light in multiple directions.
C. The shape of the eyes can provide a clearer field of vision.
D. Reflective surfaces of tubes in the eyes direct light to the retina.
13. What can we know from paragraph 3 about lobster-eye instruments?
A. They were first invented by Roger Angel.
B. They are developed for deep-sea exploration.
C. They were first introduced in space missions in 2007.
D. They helped researchers capture cosmic X-rays in 1992.
14. What is Porter’s attitude towards lobster-based instruments?
A. Skeptical B. Positive. C. Indifferent. D. Confused.
15. What is the passage mainly about?
A. The application of lobster-eye instruments in various fields.
B. The unique setup of lobster eyes adapted for deep-sea vision.
C. The development of lobster-eye instruments for space X-rays.
D. The difference between lobster-eye instruments and traditional ones.
D 13. C 14. B 15. C
根据第二段中“Unlike humans, whose eyes consist of rounded lenses that bend light, lobsters’ eyes depend on reflection. Each of their two eyes is packed with up to 10,000 square-shaped tubes. Each tube is lined with a flat, reflective surface that acts like a mirror to direct incoming light down to the retina (视网膜). This setup affords lobsters a full 180-degree view, compared with humans’ 120-degree vision.(人类的眼睛是由能弯曲光线的圆形晶状体组成的,而龙虾的眼睛不同于人类,它们的眼睛依靠反射。它们的每只眼睛都布满了多达一万个方形的管子。每个试管都有一个平坦的反射表面,像镜子一样将入射光引导到视网膜上。这种设置为龙虾提供了一个完整的180度视野,而人类的视野只有120度)”可知,龙虾眼睛的结构对它们的视觉能力的影响在于眼睛里的反射管将光线直射到视网膜。故选D。
【13题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段中“In 1992, researchers from Columbia University ran the first successful X-ray measurements using lobster-eye instruments. It took another 15 years before the tech was adapted for spacecraft missions.( 1992年,哥伦比亚大学的研究人员使用龙虾眼仪器进行了第一次成功的X射线测量。15年后,这项技术才被应用于航天器任务)”可知,1992年研究人员使用龙虾眼仪器进行了第一次成功的X射线测量,15年后即2017年,这项技术才被应用于航天器任务。故选C。
【14题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第三段中““This is a technology that’s been around a long time in astrophysics,” says Scott Porter, an astrophysicist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.(美国宇航局戈达德太空飞行中心的天体物理学家斯科特·波特说:“这项技术在天体物理学领域已经存在很长时间了。”)”以及最后一段中“Porter says that the number of applications for lobster-based instruments have increased in recent years. As projects receive funding, lobster eye instruments may become a key tool in our quest to better understand the vast, mysterious universe.( 波特说,近年来,基于龙虾的仪器的应用数量有所增加。随着项目获得资金,龙虾眼仪器可能成为我们更好地了解浩瀚、神秘宇宙的关键工具)”可知,波特认为这项技术在天体物理学领域已经存在很长时间了,并且在近年来基于龙虾的仪器的应用数量有所增加而且在未来这种仪器可能成为我们了解和探索宇宙的关键,因此波特对龙虾眼仪器的态度是积极的。故选B。
【15题详解】
主旨大意题。根据第一段“For more than half a century, scientists have sought to understand X-rays from space and what they reveal about our galaxy and the universe beyond it. As it turns out, lobsters can help astronomers do just that.(半个多世纪以来,科学家们一直试图了解来自太空的X射线,以及它们揭示了我们的星系和宇宙之外的什么。事实证明,龙虾可以帮助天文学家做到这一点)”以及通读全文可知,文章介绍的是科学家们发现龙虾的眼睛可以帮助他们观测太空中的X射线,指导探索更远的宇宙。近年来,龙虾眼睛仪器得到了越来越广泛的应用。未来,它可能成为帮助科学家更好地了解神秘宇宙的关键工具。C选项“The development of lobster-eye instruments for space X-rays.(用于空间X射线的龙虾眼仪器的发展过程)”符合文章主旨。
Fear is one of our strongest emotions. However, people with phobias(恐惧)have an extreme fear response that causes both physical and psychological pain. In everyday life, some phobia triggers(诱因)are much easier to avoid than others. For instance, people who suffer from a fear of bats are highly unlikely to be troubled by these creatures every day. ____16____
The good news is that there are a variety of different methods used to treat phobias. Among the most popular are cognitive behavioral therapy(疗法), exposure therapy, and virtual reality therapy.
*Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT)
____17____ It is thought that unreasonable anxiety is caused by a patient’s negative interpretation of events, rather than the events themselves. CBT is a talking therapy that helps patients assess their reactions to situations, replacing the worry cycle with more useful or realistic thoughts.
*Exposure therapy
The aim of exposure therapy is to gradually desensitize(使脱敏)the patients to the source of their phobia. ____18____ A person who fears spiders might place thinking about a spider at the bottom of the list, and having a spider move along his arm at the top. With the help of a psychologist, the patient systematically works their way through the list, using relaxation techniques until they are comfortable with each stage.
*Virtual Reality therapy
Exposure therapy isn’t a usable option for all phobias. ____19____ Advancements in virtual reality systems mean that patients can now face their fears through a headset rather than in the real world. ____20____ In the case of people with a phobia of flying, they can take a course of sessions in which they board a virtual plane and experience announcements, take-off and landing without having to buy a plane ticket each week.
A. Luckily, modern technology offers an alternative.
B. The patient ranks situations from least to most terrifying.
C. Instead, our brains can be retrained to overcome a phobia.
D. The aim of CBT is to change how we think about certain situations.
E. Someone suffering from a social phobia, however, will struggle to lead a normal life.
F. This enables patients to face their phobias, while knowing they are in no physical danger.
G. CBT is as effective as medication in treating many anxiety disorders.
E 17. D 18. B 19. A 20. F
根据前文“In everyday life, some phobia triggers(诱因)are much easier to avoid than others. For instance, people who suffer from a fear of bats are highly unlikely to be troubled by these creatures every day. ”(在日常生活中,有些恐惧症的诱因比其他的更容易避免。例如,那些害怕蝙蝠的人不太可能每天都受到这些生物的困扰。)可知,有些恐惧症的引发的因素是不常见,可以避免的,不会影响正常的生活。下文“The good news is that there are a variety of different methods used to treat phobias. ”(好消息是治疗恐惧症的方法有很多种。)可知,有很多治疗恐惧症的方法,既然是“好消息”,说明有很多人的日常生活是受到恐惧症的影响的。选项E.“然而,患有社交恐惧症的人将很难过上正常的生活。”,引出下文对各种疗法的描述,符合题意,故选E。
【17题详解】
根据下文“It is thought that unreasonable anxiety is caused by a patient’s negative interpretation of events, rather than the events themselves. CBT is a talking therapy that helps patients assess their reactions to situations, replacing the worry cycle with more useful or realistic thoughts.”(人们认为,不合理的焦虑是由病人对事件的负面解释引起的,而不是事件本身引起的。
根据下文“A person who fears spiders might place thinking about a spider at the bottom of the list, and having a spider move along his arm at the top. It was February 16, 2019, at 8 a. m. when my girlfriend, Jessika, and I arrived at Utah’s Zion National Park. We’d traveled from our home in Mesa, Arizona, to hike the nine-mile-long Subway Trail, so named because of its amazing tunnel-shaped canyon (峡谷). Halfway through our hike, which included climbing over rocks and walking across streams, the sunshine gave way to a light snow. Soon after, we reached the red-colored walls of the Subway Trail. A small pond stood in our way, with the trail (路线) continuing on the other side. Because the pond looked shallow, we began to wade (蹚水) through, with Jessika leading the way.
About five feet from the edge, her front foot sank into the sandy bottom. Then she fell forward and both legs started to sink. I dashed to her, grabbed her under the shoulders, and pulled her out. She climbed back to shore. But now I was sinking. The mud came all the way up to my right thigh and my left calf (小腿肚). I freed my left leg but couldn’t move my right.
Jess handed me a long stick we’d picked up earlier in the hike. I put it down the side of my leg and tried to move and pull it out. Nothing. I was trapped in quicksand (流沙) .
Jessika started scooping (舀) sand with both hands, but it was refilling faster than she could pull it out. “Don’t bother,” I told her. “You’re just wasting your energy.” While I was no longer sinking, I wasn’t getting out, either.
We couldn’t call for help because the closest rescue team was back at the trailhead, five hours away from us. I told Jessika she had to hike back and call for help. She was scared-she had only ever hiked with me and was fearful of hiking alone on a trail the National Park Service calls “very tough.” But we were out of options.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;

Just as I was going to give up, a flashlight shone across my eyes.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Thirty minutes after she left, it started to snow heavily. It was freezing cold. I zipped up my jacket and pulled my head inside. At some point I nodded off to sleep. I didn’t know how long I had slept, but I woke up with my upper body slipping backward into the quicksand. I quickly planted my stick into the dry ground to stop my fall. Wet and exhausted, I couldn’t even feel my right leg. It had been hours since Jessika left, and it was getting dark. Maybe this time I wasn’t going to make it, I thought desperately to myself.
Just as I was going to give up, a flashlight shone across my eyes. It must be the rescuers! I yelled for help at once. Jessika appeared in the darkness and rushed to me in a great hurry, followed by the rescue team. They gathered around me very soon and started working. The team held me under each shoulder and tried to pull me out with the help of some tools. When they pulled, it felt as if my leg were being ripped off. Finally, I was saved out of the quicksand. Tears welling up in our eyes, Jessika and I thanked the team with all our hearts gratefully. I was trapped for so long that I thought for sure I would die. But I didn’t.

Time to say “Thank you for being part of my life, ” take a bow and leave the stage… with one final note rising up alongside the dust in a sunbeam.
4. What does the underlined word in paragraph 1 mean?
A. Conflict. B. Challenge. C. Relationship. D. Understanding.
5. Which of the following is NOT the reason for the author’s love on her piano?
A. She could feel the music ring through her.
B She enjoyed the vibrations through her fingers.

B The unique setup of lobster eyes adapted for deep-sea vision.
C. The development of lobster-eye instruments for space X-rays.
D. The difference between lobster-eye instruments and traditional ones.

注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
Thirty minutes after she left, it started to snow heavily.
