Recently, my school held its yearly International Day event.
Each class was given a country to show to the public, and ours
got Brazil.

Soon, we started our research, covering different sides of the
country, such as Brazilian music, dance, food and celebrations.
Once the research was done, we made posters and a powerpoint
presentation and printed pictures to show our topics.
At last, the day arrived. Trucks and stalls (摊位) of
food from all over the world were set up next to the big dining
hall. We got together in our classroom, making a few last-
minute changes and planning.
During the day, I also visited all of the other classrooms.
They all had their characters, and everyone was so talented.
Many “countries” made showing boards and posters, while
others included some creative parts. For example, “Korea” had a
VR headset (头戴设备) and a photo wall, “Australia” had a
movie of a cricket (板球) game, and “Canada” offered its
special waffles (华夫饼).
We ended the day by watching traditional Mexican dancers
and musicians perform while we ate ice-creams under the trees.
International Day has been such a fun and creative way to learn
more about different countries and cultures. I look forward to
next year’s event!
