7AU6 The power of plants The importance of corn(第一课时 Developing ideas: listening & speaking) 一、教材分析 【What】本单元主题为：植物。该主题属于“人与自然”范畴，讨论 the uses and benefits of plants to people。从玉米的外观，历史，重要性到各部分的作用，围绕植物不仅能够作为食物，而且是文化的重要组成部分展开，由浅到深，层层递进。 【Why】本单元以 the amazing world of plants 为话题。通过学习本单元，学生不仅要知道植物的用途，还应该能够说出不同植物具有不同的文化价值，感悟植物之力，爱护绿色生命，与其和谐共生。 【How】包括一篇贾森的博客笔记和对话。博客笔记采用一般现在时的表达方式，对话用到了请求与许可的句型“could you help me...? of course”, 实践环节能够用语言表述植物的用途以及动手动脑制作植物海报。 二、学情分析 已知： 1. 生活经验：关于植物的话题，与学生生活息息相关，比较熟悉。 2. 知识经验：学生对玉米的各部分名称以及基本用途有基本的了解，能够自然而然地融入到课堂学习活动中去。 未知： 1.植物的用途认识不全面。 2.学生不能流畅用英语表述植物的用途，以及不能在生活中实践如何请求允许和给予允许。 教学重难点： 1. 采用思维导图的方式，帮助学生理解植物重要性，需要从哪几个方面描述，然后提供相应的词汇句型提示。 2. 在语境中帮助学生理解时态，在使用过程中加深印象。 三、课时目标 1.正确认读并运用主题词 corn silk，rose，cotton，bamboo 来讨论植物的相关信息。（学习理解） 2.通过听短文与对话，获取玉米对墨西哥重要性及玉米用途的细节信息，并根据提示叙述玉米用途。（应用实践） 3.通过小组合作，讨论植物的多种用途以及植物在生活中的重要性及影响，培养同学们热爱植物、保护植物的良好行为习惯。（迁移创新） 四、教学设计过程 教学步骤 学习活动 效果评价 1.正确认读并运用 主题词 corn silk， rose ， cotton ， bamboo 来 讨 论 植 物的相关信息。 Lead-in（Free talk） 学生根据课本上的图片回答问题 1. It explains the importance of corn in Mexico. b. It compares corn in different countries. c. It describes about a famous Mexican corn dish. 1.
