In the US alone, the monarch butterfly has seen a drop of 80%, from millions of them recorded by scientists in the 1980s to only 29,000 in 2020; in 2017 scientists in Germany raised alarm bells after stressing that insects had decreased (减少) by more than 70% in 30 years. Leading environmental organizations have been working hard to find new ways of tracking butterflies. Now, there is no long-term data available to develop effective strategies in those areas where the threat is particularly widespread. The scientists also wanted to say the big problem that long-term monitoring programs worldwide have faced for a long time: they are focused on training locals as citizen biologists, which, although successful, requires significant and continued funding. In Ecuador, however, scientists have taken things one step further. The study was undertaken (承担) to fight against the serious threat of dying out that so many insects — not just butterflies — are facing. They came up with a unique approach. In Yasuni National Park, one of the world’s most diverse reserves, they started a monitoring project where park rangers (护林员) were trained and then performed monitoring. The rangers were able to identify butterflies to species with impressive accuracy (精确性) — an 85% success rate — which was key for these monitoring programs to be successful. The data gathered by the park rangers was so accurate that it did not significantly differ from the data collected by trained biologists in the area. In comparison to other monitoring projects that employ individuals from the community to act as citizen biologists, which usually terminate when funding is used up, this study represents a long-term solution. Monitoring with a system already in place means that it can continue, regardless of funding. “Our approach increases the possibility of continued monitoring in the long term by saving money,” said the lead author. “What’s more, it will provide the possibility for other highly threatened and important areas for biodiversity (生物多样性) protection.” Soon, the researchers hope to expand their efforts to other parks and reserves in Ecuador and other countries. 46.The figures in the US and Germany listed in Paragraph 1 intend to ________. A.show the rich diversity of butterflies B.describe the sharp fall of butterflies’ number C.stress scientists’ great attention to butterflies D.compare butterfly population decrease in different regions 47.What is monitoring programs’ long-term challenge in butterfly protection? A.The high cost of training staff. B.The wide areas to be monitored. C.The lack of professional trainers. D.The difficulty of handling existing data. 48.What may be the biggest success of Yasuni National Park’s project? A.Attracting biologists’ attention. B.Butterflies’ being saved effectively. C.Rangers making accurate identification. D.Spreading technical monitoring methods. 49.What does the underlined word “terminate” in Paragraph 4 probably mean? A.Grow. B.Return. C.Appear. D.End. 50.What will the researchers do in the future? A.Share their method and experience. B.Prove long-term effects of their method. C.Test for their approach’s economic benefits. D.Compare their results with those of other areas. 46.B 47.A 48.C 49.D 50.A 【语篇解读】本文是一篇说明文。 根据第一段“In the US alone, the monarch butterfly has seen a drop of 80%, from millions of them recorded by scientists in the 1980s to only 29,000 in 2020; in 2017 scientists in Germany raised alarm bells after stressing that insects had decreased (减少) by more than 70% in 30 years.(仅在美国,帝王蝶的数量就减少了80%,从20世纪80年代科学家记录的数百万只减少到2020年的29,000只;2017年,德国科学家在强调昆虫在30年内减少了70%以上后敲响了警钟)”可推知,本段列出的美国和德国的数字是为了描述蝴蝶数量的急剧下降。故选B项。 47. 根据第二段“The scientists also wanted to say the big problem that long-term monitoring programs worldwide have faced for a long time: they are focused on training locals as citizen biologists, which, although successful, requires significant and continued funding.(科学家们还想指出全球长期监测项目长期以来面临的一个大问题:它们专注于将当地人培训成公民生物学家,尽管成功了,但这需要大量和持续的资金)”可知,监测项目对蝴蝶保护的长期挑战是需要大量和持续的资金,因为培训员工的成本很高。故选A项。 48. 根据第三段“In Yasuni National Park, one of the world’s most diverse reserves, they started a monitoring project where park rangers (护林员) were trained and then performed monitoring. The rangers were able to identify butterflies to species with impressive accuracy (精确性) — an 85% success rate — which was key for these monitoring programs to be successful. The data gathered by the park rangers was so accurate that it did not significantly differ from the data collected by trained biologists in the area.(在亚苏尼国家公园,世界上最多样化的保护区之一,他们开始了一个监测项目,公园护林员接受培训,然后进行监测。 根据最后一段““Our approach increases the possibility of continued monitoring in the long term by saving money,” said the lead author. “What’s more, it will provide the possibility for other highly threatened and important areas for biodiversity (生物多样性) protection.” Soon, the researchers hope to expand their efforts to other parks and reserves in Ecuador and other countries.(首席作者说:“我们的方法通过节省资金,增加了长期持续监测的可能性。”“更重要的是,它将为其他高度受威胁和重要的生物多样性保护提供可能性。”不久,研究人员希望将他们的努力扩展到厄瓜多尔和其他国家的其他公园和保护区)”可推知,研究人员将来会分享他们的方法和经验给厄瓜多尔和其他国家的其他公园和保护区。故选A项。 D If you’re worried about the planet, please make sure your rubbish is buried under the ground. People talk about “reduce, reuse, recycle.” It sounds like a good idea. There is a problem, though. Recycling costs too much money. Even the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) says it only makes sense economically and environmentally to recycle about 35 percent of thrown materials, Among those materials are paper and aluminum cans (铝罐), Recycling 1 ton of paper or aluminum cans, the agency says, can save about 3 tons of CO2 emissions (排放) overproducing those materials again. Paper producers pay for the trees they process If it was cost-effective to recycle paper. producers would be beating down your door to bay it. But they aren’t. That means it’s more expensive to recycle old paper than to cut trees and then replant trees for processing. Plastic can be recycled too. Because of the recent drop in crude oil (原油) prices. it is now cheaper to make a new plastic container (塑料容器) than to recycle an old one. Even if that were not true, the EPA says that recycling a ton of plastic saves only about a ton of CO2. However, it doesn’t take into consideration the water most people use to wash their plastic containers before having them recycled. The New York Times Journalist John Tierney recently wrote. “If you wash plastic in water that was heated by electricity, them the effect of your recycling could be mere carbon in the air. Glass is another recyclable material. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions by I ton, you have to recycle 3 tons of glass. If one includes the cost of collecting glass waste from neighborhoods, and the pollution produced by the collection trucks and the recycling process itself, glass recycling creates more greenhouse gas emissions and is more expensive than making new glass, which comes primarily from sand that exists everywhere. If recycling were truly cost-effective, private companies would be lining up at your doorstep to buy your rubbish. Don’t look now because they’re not there. 51.What’s the EPA’S attitude to recycling aluminum cans? A.It is helpful to the environment. B.It is actually a waste of money. C.It costs less than recycling paper. D.It costs the same as producing new cans. 52.What increases the cost of recycling plastic? A.The crude oil. B.The water pollution. C.The process to clean it. D.The electricity for lights. 53.What can be learned about making new glass? A.It results in lots of waste in neighborhoods. B.The material for new glass can be easily got. C.It is slightly more expensive than recycling glass. D.Making 3 tons of new glass produces I ton of carbon emissions. 54.What does the author mean by saying the underlined sentence? A.Recycling will disappear soon. B.Companies will line up at your doorstep. C.Recycling is a way to deal with your rubbish. D.Companies won’t bother to collect thrown materials. 55.What’s the best title for the text? A.Whose fault is it? B.Where does waste go? C.Is everything recyclable? D.Is it really worth the effort? 【参考答案】51.A 52.C 53.B 54.D 55.D 【语篇解读】这是一篇议论文。作者就垃圾的回收利用提出了自己的观点:听起来很美,但由于回收费用高昂,所以不值得。 【详情解析】 51.推理判断题。根据第三段中“Recycling 1 ton of paper or aluminum cans, the agency says, can save about 3 tons of CO2 emissions (排放) overproducing those materials again.(该机构表示,与重新生产这些材料相比,回收1吨纸或铝罐可以节省约3吨二氧化碳排放量。)”可知,EPA认为与制造新的铝罐相比,回收利用铝罐可以节省二氧化碳的排放量。所以,EPA对回收铝罐的态度是它对环境有帮助。故选A项。 52.细节理解题。根据第四段中“However, it doesn’t take into account the water most consumers use to wash their plastic containers before having them recycled.(然而,它没有考虑到大多数消费者在回收塑料容器之前清洗塑料容器所用的水。)”可知,作者认为EPA没有把在对塑料再利用前清洗塑料使用的水的消耗考虑在内,所以是对使用过的塑料产品进行清洗的过程增加了回收利用塑料的成本。故选C项。 53.细节理解题。根据倒数第二段中“glass recycling creates more greenhouse gas emissions and is more expensive than making new glass, which comes primarily from sand that exists everywhere.(玻璃回收会产生更多的温室气体排放,并且比制造新玻璃更昂贵,新玻璃主要来自随处可见的沙子。)”可知,生产玻璃的原料到处都是,所以很容易获得。故选B项。 54.词句猜测题。根据最后一段“If recycling were truly cost-effective, private companies would be lining up at your doorstep to buy your rubbish. (如果回收真的具有成本效益,私营公司就会在你家门口排队购买你的垃圾。)”可知,作者认为如果回收物品真的可以节约成本,私人企业一定会在你的门口大排长龙,争相购买你的垃圾。别四处看了,因为他们没在门口。所以作者是用了戏谑的方式再次强调了自己的观点:回收利用旧物的成本太高,私企们不愿意去做这样的事。故选D项。 55.主旨大意题。由文章最后一段“If recycling were truly cost-effective, private companies would be lining up at your doorstep to buy your rubbish. Don’t look now because they’re not there.(如果回收真的具有成本效益,私营公司就会在你家门口排队购买你的垃圾。现在不要看,因为他们不在那里。)”以及结合上文可知,由于回收利用旧物的成本太高,私企们不愿意去做这样的事,所以D项Is it really worth the effort?(这真的值得付出努力吗?)表达作者对回收观点。故选D项。 第II卷 第三部分:写作(共两节,满分35分) 第一节:阅读表达(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) I used to chase happiness a lot when I began to work. I would run after different experiences-goals, achievements and success, because I was quite sure that once I caught up with them, happiness would be with me. It was during that period that I learned happiness was a very fast runner. Later, I tried to sneak up on happiness. I thought if I didn’t care too little or too much but just enough, it wouldn’t see me coming and then I could catch it. It turned out that happiness is similar to owls, for both of them have 360-degree vision and extremely sharp hearing. Finally, I decided to sit still, very quietly, until happiness forgot I was there, let down its guard and got close to me. This, surprisingly, worked better than either of the other two ways. After reading a passage in Time, I think I know the reason. Apparently, for Americans, the chase of happiness is just linked to achieving individual goals which is different from that in other cultures. In many cultures, happiness is considered as a social phenomenon that happens most readily when it is shared. But our society puts the responsibility for catching happiness on each individual’s shoulders -a heavy burden indeed. On Facebook, there are a lot of unbelievably happy people doing amazing happiness—producing things every day. However, most of the time, no one is really that happy all the time behind the scenes. I also like what a famous business man told Time reporter Mandy Oaklander, “A happy life doesn’t consist of happy moments but every moment of the day.” Now you know how to get happiness, don’t you? 56.What did the author learn from his first period of chasing happiness? (no more than 10 words) 57.How do you understand the underlined words in Paragraph 2? (no more than 5 words) 58.What was the author’s approach to chasing happiness a third time? (no more than 15 words) 59.What does the chase of happiness mean to Americans? (no more than 6 words) . 60.Do you think you’re on the way to chasing happiness? Please explain. (no more than 25 words) . 【参考答案】 56. The author learned that happiness was a very fast runner./ The author found that happiness was hard to chase. 57.Come near to secretly./Approach quietly./ Get close to silently. 57. Sit still until happiness got close. 58. It means achieving individual goals. 60.Yes, (because) I’m now studying hard and spare no effort to enter my dream university. 【语篇解读】本文是一篇记叙文。讲述了作者追求幸福的感悟。 【详情解析】 56.考查细节理解。根据第一段“It was during that period that I learned happiness was a very fast runner.(正是在那段时间里,我了解到幸福是一个非常快的跑步者)”可知,在作者追求幸福的第一阶段中,他明白了作者了解到幸福是很难追求的,它是一个非常快的跑步者。故答案为:The author learned that happiness was a very fast runner./ The author found that happiness was hard to chase. 57.考查词义猜测。根据第二段“I thought if I didn’t care too little or too much but just enough, it wouldn’t see me coming and then I could catch it.(我想,如果我不在乎太少或太多,只要足够,它就不会看到我来,然后我就能抓住它)”可知,作者想安静地靠近幸福。故sneak up on意为“偷偷走进,偷偷靠近”,即Come near to secretly./Approach quietly./ Get close to silently。故答案为:Come near to secretly./Approach quietly./ Get close to silently. 58.考查细节理解。根据第三段“Finally, I decided to sit still, very quietly, until happiness forgot I was there, let down its guard and got close to me.(最后,我决定静静地坐着,直到幸福忘记了我的存在,放下戒备,靠近我)”可知,作者第三次追求幸福的方法是静静地坐着,直到幸福降临。故答案为Sit still until happiness got close. 59.考查细节理解。根据第四段“Apparently, for Americans, the chase of happiness is just linked to achieving individual goals which is different from that in other cultures.(显然,对美国人来说,追求幸福只与实现个人目标有关,这与其他文化不同)”可知,追求幸福对美国人意味着实现个人目标。故答案为:It means achieving individual goals. 60.开放性题目。根据“你认为你在追寻幸福的路上吗?请解释一下”可回答:是的,(因为)我现在正在努力学习,不遗余力地进入我梦想中的大学。故答案为:Yes, (because) I’m now studying hard and spare no effort to enter my dream university 第二节:书面表达(满分25分) 假设你是晨光中学的学生李津,你的英国朋友Chris来信询问面对高中繁重的学习任务,如何保持身体健康,请你根据以下提示,给他写一封回信。 内容要点包括:(1)健康的饮食;(2)适当的运动;(3)良好的生活习惯。 注意: (1)词数不少于100,开头和结尾已经给出,不计入总词数; (2)可适当加入细节,以使内容充实、行文连贯; (3)开头和结尾已给出,不计入总词数。 Dear Chris, ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yours, Li Jin 【参考答案】 Dear Chris,        How nice to hear from you! Just this past January he immigrated to Canada from Pakistan at the age of 18. The reasoning? “A voice in me was shouting to go somewhere where there are opportunities,” Ali said. While it was a hard decision to leave his hometown, his native country, and his loved ones, Ali is excited about his new life. “In Canada you will find yourself surrounded by more opportunities, more ways to accomplish what you want, and people are very helpful.” Months after changing around his whole life, Ali dove right into helping the community. In March, he worked with Be the Change. Ali describes the organization as “a youth program which gives confidence and skills of making a negotiation (谈判).” “The most impressive part of Be the Change is that we don’t just work with pen and paper,” he said. “You are given a task to go out and ask people for the problems in the community, work on it, and then make a proposal for the authority to work on it.” Now Ali has a new project he is working on. He was inspired to get involved with the organization because it is a platform for him to do good for the world. One of Ali’s most favorite parts of working with the Peace Welcome Club is that it allows face-to-face interaction rather than just the use of social networking sites. “This gives me opportunity to spread the message of Peace Welcome Club. C Butterflies, a familiar sight around the world, are disappearing now. Over the past four decades, more than 450 butterfly species have been affected by threats from climate change. D If you’re worried about the planet, please make sure your rubbish is buried under the ground. 第II卷 第三部分:写作(共两节,满分35分) 第一节:阅读表达(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) I used to chase happiness a lot when I began to work. 第二节:书面表达(满分25分) 假设你是晨光中学的学生李津,你的英国朋友Chris来信询问面对高中繁重的学习任务,如何保持身体健康,请你根据以下提示,给他写一封回信。 内容要点包括:(1)健康的饮食;(2)适当的运动;(3)良好的生活习惯。 注意: (1)词数不少于100,开头和结尾已经给出,不计入总词数; (2)可适当加入细节,以使内容充实、行文连贯; (3)开头和结尾已给出,不计入总词数。 Dear Chris, ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yours, Li Jin 1 / 24 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$2025届高一下学期开学摸底考试卷(天津专用) 英语·答题卡 姓名: 准考证号 条 码粘贴处 ■ 缺考标记 注意事项 ▣ 1,答题前,考生先将自己的姓名、准考证号码填写清楚 考生禁止填渝 2. 6. 填涂样例正确■错误一[√][×] 选择题(请用2B铅笔填涂) 1[AJ[B]ICIDI AJIBJICIDI 11[A][B]ICIID] ■ 2JAJ[BJICHID] ZAJIBIICHD] 12AJIBIICHD] ■ 31AJIB]ICID] 8AJIBJICID] 13.IAIB]ICID] 4A]IBIICIDI AJIBIICHDI 14[A]IBIICHID] 5AJIBIICIDI 10.A][B]ICID] 151A]IBIICID] ■ 16.A][BIICIDI 21[AIIBIICI[D] 26.[A]IBIICI[DI 17AJIBJICHD] 221AIIBIIC]ID] 271AJIBIICJID] ■ 18[AJIBIICIIDI 23.[AI[BIICIID] 281A]IBI[CIID] ■ 19AJ[B]ICIIDI 24AIIBIICIID] 29[AJIBIICIIDI 20.AIIBIICHIDI 25.1AlIBIICIID] 30.1AI[B]ICJID] ■ 31A]B][CIID] 36.1AIIBIICIID] 411AIBICIDI 32AJIBJICJID] 37AIIBIICJID] 421AJIB]ICI[DI ■ 33.[AI[BIICIIDI 38.[AI[BIICIID] 43.JA]IBI[CI[DI 341A][B]ICJID] 39.1AI[B][CJ[D] 44AJIB]IC]ID] ■ 35.[AJIB]ICIIDI 40.[Al[B][C][D] 45[A]IBJICIID] ■ 46AIIB]ICJID] 511AIIBIICIID] ■ 47A][BJ[C]ID] 52.[AJ[B]ICI[D] 48[AI[B]ICIID] 53.1AJIBIIC][D] ■ 4.JAIIB][C]ID] 54[AI[BJIC][D] 50.[A][B][CIID] 551A]IBIICI[D] ■ 请在各题目的答题区域内作答,超出黑色矩形边框限定区域的答案无效! 6 填涂样例正确■】错误【一1√][×] ■ 选择题(请用2B铅笔填涂) 1[A][B][CHD] 6.[A][B][CI[D] 11.A1[B1[CD1 ■ 2[A][B][CID] 7[A][B][CID] 12A][B][CID] 3.[A][B][CID] 8.[A][B][CID] 13A1IB1[C1[D] 4.[A][B][CHD] 9[A][B][CID] 14A][B][CID] 5.[A][B][CID] 10.[A][BI[CID] 15AJIB1【C1ID1 ■ 16.[A][B][CID] 21(A][B][C][D] 26.A1[B1[C1ID1 17(AJ[B][CHD] 22(AJ[BI[C][D] 27A]IBJ[C][D] ■ 18.(A][B][CHD] 23.[A][BI[CI[D] 28.[A][B][C][D] 19.A1[B1【C1ID1 24AI[B][C][D] 29JA][B][C][D] ■ 20.[A][BI[CID] 25.[AI[BI[C][D] 30.A][B][C][D] 31[AJ[B][C][D] 36.(A][B][C][D] 41A][B][C][D] 32[A][B]IC][D] 37(A][B][C][D] 42A1[B1IC1[D] 33.A1[B1[C1[D1 38(A][B][C][D 43.[A][B][C][D] 34A1IB1IC1【D 39[A][B][C][D] 44A][B][C][D] 35A1[B1IC1[D1 40.[A[B][CI[D] 45.(A][B][C][D] 46.A1[B1[C1ID1 51[A][B][CI[D] 47.A1[B1[C1[D1 52A1[B1IC1[D1 48.A1IB1[C1[D1 53.(A][B][C][D ■ 49.A1[B1IC1[D1 54[A][B][C][D] 50.A1IB1IC1ID】 55.[A][B][C][D] 请在各题目的答题区域内作答,超出黑色矩形边框限定区域的答案无效! 非选择题(请在各试题的答题区内作答) 第四部分:写作(共两节,满分35分) 第一节:阅读表达(共5小题:每小题2分,满分10分) 71. 72. 73. 74. 75. 第二节:书面表达(满分25分) Dear Chris, Yours.
