教学过程
Step 1: Revision
1.revise different kinds of birds and play a guessing game,
2. finish some exercises.
Step 2: Lead-in
1.Talk about my favourite bird and present red-crowned cranes.
2.Show some pictures and present Zhalong Nature Reserve.
Step 3: Pre-reading
Read and match. Match the new words with its meaning on Page 71 B1.
Step 4: While-reading
1.Read and predict. What’s the article about? Why is Zhalong a special place?
2.Skim and match. The main idea of each prargraph. do the exercise on Page 71B2.
3.Scan and answer. Why is Zhalong a special place? What dangers may wildlife face?
What actions do different people take to protect wildlife?
4. Consolidate the passage by using a mind-map.
5. Do True or False questions on Page 72 B3.
Step 4: Post-reading
1.Finish a passage about Zhalong and help students get some further information about it.
2.Watch a video about Xu Xiujuan and have a discussion .
3.Discuss how to protect endangered wildlife.
Step 5:Homework
1. Introduce Zhalong Nature Reserve to your friends.
2. Make a plan how to protect the endangered wildlife around us.
