【答案】Dear Fellow Students,
Everyone knows animals are our friends. But many animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has been destroyed greatly. What’s worse, human race is killing them just for getting their fur, skin, teeth and meat.
In order to protect our resources of ecology, our government should pass laws and forbid people to hunt the animals in danger. We can work together to plant more trees and call for protecting animals’ habitats. At the same time, it is necessary to have long-term projects to help the endangered animals. Only if we protect animals well can we have a bright future.

【答案】 Feeding Wild Animals: A Double-Edged Sword
Recently, a story about an old injured wolf near the Hoh Xil Highway becoming a sensation due to human feeding has raised concerns. While the intention to help is kind, feeding wild animals can disrupt their natural instincts, making them dependent on humans. This not only affects their survival skills but can also disturb ecological balance. Moreover, it may lead to more wildlife venturing into human areas, posing risks to both animals and humans. To truly protect wildlife, we should respect their habitats and support conservation efforts rather than direct feeding

As scheduled, the activity began with a gathering at the school gate and then students of each class were led to the designated bus in order. The bus quickly made its way to the destination--Mount Taibai, which marked the start of an immense exploration into nature. While some students immersed themselves in the breath-taking surroundings whole-heartedly, others captured those fleeting moments with the camera, making them long lasting memories in mind.

二、读后续写
1.With two energetic kids, a stressful job, and a house to maintain, life was constantly on the move. For many years, my children begged for a dog, and I would always say, “When you are older and life slows down a bit.”
Time was ticking by, but life was no less messy when my then preteens made yet another attempt. With more than a little trepidation (不安), we brought home Murphy. How much trouble could he be?
In a short time, our cute puppy (幼犬) grew and fitted into our lifestyle completely. That is to say, he added more chaos to the already full life we led. We liked him for the love and fun he brought to us, but I wondered when he was going to get over the puppy phase and slow down.
After two years together, he still chased other dogs on our “walks”. Each day, he presented us with a newly chewed shoe or freshly torn dolls when left to his own devices.
The final straw was when he tore up my passport, requiring me to declare to the City Clerk that “the dog ate my passport” to replace it. Something had to change.
Instead of considering how Murphy’s wild behavior might be a reflection of our own lives, we settled on a solution: We doubled down and got a dog for our dog. A one-year-old Shih Tzu named Ted joined our family.
He settled into our house as his own. While things didn’t exactly slow down with his addition, Ted’s entertainment value was immediately apparent. We would pause to laugh as Murphy and Ted wrestled. Murphy would pick up Ted by the neck and run around the house. Despite being outweighed by his brother, Ted would stand underneath Murphy’s chest, where he couldn’t be reached.
We continued to race through life. Ted and Murphy continued to bring us together in laughter. They joyfully passed eleven years together.

【答案】参考范文
Then Ted became ill and sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. Ted’s heartbreaking death left us in silence, and everything seemed to move in a slow motion. When walking Murphy, I noticed Murphy had changed from a joyful dog chasing around to a wise companion who had mastered the art of slowing down. Our once-rushed walks became leisurely wandering. His gentle pace taught me to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, reminding me of what truly matters. I cherished the remaining days with Murphy, aware of the possibility of losing him unexpectedly, and we eventually said goodbye to him years later.
I treasure our time together and the lessons they left me. During routine walks, I pause to watch puppies play and take in the delicate wonders of nature — the fascinating smells of flowers, the sweet sounds of singing birds, and the golden leaves underfoot. Reflecting on my rushing past, I realize that had I found the joy of the present, I could have saved countless precious memories with my children and late dogs, Ted and Murphy. Now, I walk every day to find comfort and beauty in life, with a heart full of gratitude for the wisdom of my beloved dogs.

2.I hopped off the school bus, hitting the ground at a dead run, dropped my book bag at the house door and ran down to the barnyard. I couldn’t wait to touch the little horse and continue the training. He was coming along so well!
My mother bought the horse as my 14th birthday gift. He was of unknown breeding, and a non-extraordinary brown color. The first time I caught his big, dark eyes with mine, I knew he was special. My mother was happy to see the two of us quickly bonded. As we progressed, his potential consumed me. He wasn’t my first horse, but the first one I took on as a project and my first time to train a horse under saddle (马鞍).
However, my grin quickly faded into a confused frown as the little horse was no where to be seen. Panic surged through me. Where was my boy? Had something terrible happened? On the verge of tears, I dashed back to the kitchen for my mother, desperate for an answer.
“Mom! Where’s ToiBoi? I can’t find him anywhere!” My mother looked up from her chores as I burst through the door. “Oh, sweetie, come here,” she said, reaching out to pull me to her side.
“I have some news,” she began slowly. “You know how much we love and believe in you, and how proud we are of how far you and ToiBoi have come. But today something unexpected happened.”
I stared at her, my mind racing with possibilities. “What happened, Mom? Is he hurt?”
“No, no,” she assured me quickly. “He is not hurt. But there was an opportunity. A trainer came by this afternoon looking for promising young horses. He took ToiBoi to his training ground for test. He was very impressed and promised to give ToiBoi professional training. It’s your horse. So I need you to make a choice for ToiBoi today.”

Paragraph 2: Decision made, it was time to go and see ToiBoi in the training ground.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】
“Professional training?” I echoed, trying to understand what she was saying. “You mean... they want to take him away from me?” My mother gave a slight nod. A wave of emotions crashed over me — pride that ToiBoi’s potential was being recognized, but also sorrow at the thought of losing him. As I tried hard to process everything, memories of us gaining trust in each other, making slow but steady progress in training came flooding back. Reluctant, but deep down I admitted this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for ToiBoi to reach heights that would never be achieved on our own. Under my mother’s encouraging gaze, I knew it was time to let go.
Decision made, it was time to go and see ToibBoi in the training ground. When we arrived, the trainer greeted us warmly and led us to where ToiBoi was being kept. As I approached, I saw the little horse grazing peacefully. Relief surged through me as I ran towards him, calling his name. He looked up and trotted over to me, nuzzling my hand affectionately. Obviously, he was in good hands. The trainer showed us around the facility and explained their rigorous training program. I could tell this was indeed an excellent opportunity. It wasn’t an easy decision, but sometimes letting go is the best thing you can do for those you love.

Two weeks earlier, Neesha’s owners had taken her and their other dog, a German shepherd named Harley, for some outdoor exercise. Terrified by a deer, both dogs took off. Harley found his way back to the parking lot the next day, but Neesha did not.
The family made a thorough search. They left a laundry basket of unwashed clothing near the spot where they’ d last seen Neesha on the off chance that she’d home in on the familiar smell marker. They even turned to the Internet for help in finding Neesha-but there was still no sign of her.
“We posted our experience on social media. Then a weekend later, we were still looking for her. We were starting to give up hope,” the pet’s owners Mary and her husband David told The Irish Times.
Eventually, the family began to accept that Neesha might not be coming home. “We just thought she is 8, and it’s been two weeks. There was no way she could survive.”
Doctors Ciara Nolan and Jean Francois Bonnet must be truly dedicated hikers. They braved the elements on the freezing day when the couple decided to reach one of Wicklow’s peaks. As they neared the top, Nolan was shocked to see a dog trembling in the snow.
“She was frightened, freezing cold. She didn’t have enough energy to bark or stand,” Bonnet said in an interview. “We tried to get her to walk, but she couldn’t stand. So we covered her with our spare clothes and gave her some food.”

【答案】
Bonnet lifted Neesha onto his back for the long path down the mountain. In the slippery and icy conditions, they stumbled and fell several times, yet Bonnet never thought of giving up. Instead, he came up with a clever idea and wrapped Neesha tightly in a scarf to make sure she wouldn’t slip off. Once they finally reached the level ground, Nolan and Bonnet wasted no time in taking the poor dog straight to the nearest animal rescue station. Despite being extremely weak, aside from a few minor cuts and scrapes, Neesha was in relatively good condition, which was truly a relief. The couple managed to contact Neesha’s owners by means of the dog tag that she was wearing.
Mary and David could scarcely believe it when they learned their dog had been found alive. The moment they received the call from the animal rescue station, it felt like a miracle had unfolded right before their eyes. They rushed over immediately, and when they saw Neesha, who was a bit weak but still wagging her tail at the sight of them, their eyes welled up with tears. They hugged her gently, as if afraid of losing her again. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the kind hikers, Doctors Ciara Nolan and Jean Francois Bonnet. From then on, they cherished every moment with Neesha even more, knowing just how precious this second chance of having her by their side was.
