It is really a beautiful place. But recently, there is something wrong with the city. What’s wrong? Step2.Build a structure: Learn Story time 1. Find the problem (1) T: Look,Miss Li is having a social science class. At class, she shows some pics to her students. What are they talking about? Let’s listen and answer. (2)T: Look at the pics, boys and girls. What is dirty in the city? S1: The air is dirty. S2: The streets are dirty. S3: The river is dirty. Teach: air (2) Brief summary: Our city is not clean. The air is dirty. The streets are dirty. The river is dirty. Find the problem 2. Analyse the problem (1) T: Our city is dirty. But what makes our city dirty? Miss Li and her students are trying to analyse the problem. Please watch the cartoon and match the words. Teach: smoke, rubbish, factory (2) Look and read (3) Brief summary: Smoke from cars makes the air dirty. Black smoke from cars makes the air dirty. Rubbish makes the streets messy and dirty. Rubbish makes the river dirty. Analyse the problem 3. Solve the problem (1) T: Just now, Miss Li and her students talked about the reasons for the problem.
